We got married at the Legion of Honor in October, which basically equates to zero clout with San Francisco wedding photographers. They all have many Legion photos in their portfolios, and chic city brides clamoring for their September and October availability. Our budget was doable, and I didn't mind if we didn't get an album, but I did want the raw files at the end of the deal, and I didn't want to pay an extra $2K for them (seriously, that was the rate of an unnamed photog we intv'ed). I didn't see the point of considering out of town photographers where we would have to pay for travel. That is, until we found Stephanie Williams Photography. Stephanie and Isaac were super interested in our venue. They researched before calling us back, which impressed me about how seriously they take their work. We had a great skype intv with them and not only could see spending the most intense day of our lives with them, but also liked their questions and their thoughtful answers to ours. Oh, and they were seriously fair on travel costs and really seemed to have an artistic interest in capturing our big day. Nice :). The week before my wedding weather.com decided to take a nice break from the typical 80's San Francisco epic indian summer we had been experiencing and put some rain in the forecast. Make that lots of rain, 3 days worth, that despite moving around on the forecast throughout my 10 minute interval page refreshes, stood firm on Saturday 10/23/10. Blah. Basically, I lost my sh*t as I had not even considered a rainy wedding and had about 15 SF locations pegged for my day of photos around town, not to mention a courtyard ceremony. In between reloading weather.com and taking out frustration on my escort cards, I put on my big girl pants, bought some golf umbrellas and rain boots and figured that the mere fact that I was now prepared would usher the rain away. Yes, I was prepared, but no, my plan did not work. I had a rainy day wedding... but Stephanie + Isaac absolutely ROCKED IT!!!!! They reassured me that although I would not get the photos I had envisioned, my photos would still be no less than amazing and now more unique and romantic. They were right and the result was no less that mind blowing. Isaac is a photography ninja. Point in case: when he arrived at the bridal suite I was pretty sure I had been doorbell ditched until he climbed out of the fire escape he had hopped onto to not waste those 30 seconds and get some city shots. The man is seriously coordinated and put his physical state in jeopardy multiple times throughout the night and captured some ridiculous shots as a result. Much appreciated. Stephanie's artistic vision is unmatched. The angles, slight nuances and beauty she captures is unbelievable. Everything in my photos is so much more grand and exquisite than even I remember it. She is also so warm and calm. She puts you at ease, poses you perfectly and makes you feel as if you've had all these untapped modeling skills all along. You probably haven't; she is that good. These two get BONUS POINTS for standing in the rain with no camera-free hand for an umbrella, coaxing us to continue and get in more shots. Once the festivities began they virtually disappeared, only to jump out of the shadows, trigger finger pressed on camera, firing away to capture all that transpired. OMG, our flamboyant uncle is dancing with an umbrella? Yup, got it. My immature cousins laughing at the nude statues in the gallery? Savored. My husband and I's day of glow of love, excitement, exhaustion and sheer bliss? Captured in all it's glory.... :) I can honestly say I am glad that it rained on our wedding day - the photos are unbelievable and so incredibly romantic and unique. Add that to a move from Atlanta to LA - it's tough to know who is legit. So when trying to find a photographer, we asked for recommendations from her agents, friends in the Industry, other parents - I even searched photos on IMDB that I liked and researched the person credited for the photo. After all of the recommendations, I began looking through various websites. Next I contacted the photographers based on the photos to determine fit. We chose Keli because she was engaged from the beginning. We initially spoke over the phone and her warm personality came through. She asked me questions about my daughter and what we were looking for (e.g. commercial, editorial, etc.). Keli asked me text a photo of my daughter. Based on her picture she explained her vision for the shoot from beginning to end. We really enjoyed working with Keli as she is really hands on from the moment you contact her. As other reviewers have said, Keli recommends wardrobe choices that really make the pictures pop off the screen. There are several things that make her stand out: - she does allot of pre-work before the shoot (wardrobe selection, makeup artists, etc) so the time can be spent actually taking photos. - Keli makes quality recommendations based on all budgets. She suggests baller on a budget to money is no object. - The photo shoot was fun! She played music and my daughter had a great time (the essence of her personality, what she was thinking/her expressions were all captured). - She sent the photos in a link directly to her agent. My daughter's agent LOVED the photos (He actually typed LOVE in the email). He had such a hard time narrowing down which ones to use because they were so good. Within days of uploading the new photos she's had several auditions based on those photos. Fingers crossed on what she books - but Keli's photos got her in the door!

Silver Time's staff was the kindest, most accommodating staff I have ever worked with. As my fiance and I are not real models, it comes as no surprise that we had no prior experience getting our photos taken, as I'm sure most people don't. It started off when I contacted them in November 2014 and I scheduled an appointment with them. They invited me over to their studio so that we could take a look at the dress options and go over some information. Upon entering the studio, we were greeted with warm smiles and offered water and tea. Amy and Cathlyn were there asking us many specific questions about what we wanted our shoot to be like, starting from the locations, to they type of dresses I wanted. My fiance and I had chosen the most expensive package, as they had a really good deal at the time of our purchase, and it included 2 wedding dresses, 1 formal wear, and 1 casual set. They worked with me to figure out exactly what I wanted for my hair and make up, and of course more specifically what kind of shots I wanted and what I had in mind. The best part about the visit was that they said I could send them my pinterest board to give them a better idea of what I wanted for this shoot. I took full advantage and researched all the shots that I had seen and I wanted. They kept in constant communication with me until the day of our shoot in the beginning of January. On the day of the shoot, I arrived at 8 a.m. and and they did all my hair and make up for me as promised in the package, and Annika, the hair dresser, was full of energy and made sure I was comfortable. Kat, the make up artist was definitely asking all the right questions and even let me choose the style for the eyeliner because she understood that it was important to me. The day of the shoot, we had unexpected rain and it was coming down pretty hard. After we finished our indoor shoot, I expected them to tell us to come back another day. I was surprised to hear them say that they were open to shooting in the rain, and of course I was hesitant at first, but with a little coaxing, they definitely convinced me that the overcast weather would make for awesome pictures. We shot in the pouring rain and they got drenched but still made sure we had plenty of warmth by covering me with a warm fuzzy throw the whole time the photographer, Jason, wasn't shooting. I am high maintenance and I hate getting wet, but I had such a fun time, I didn't even think about it. All throughout, Amy never wiped the smile off her face and kept a positive energy going to make us feel comfortable and happy. All in all, we couldn't have had a better day. Be prepared it was a longgggg day, but in the end it was so worth it. If I ever had to do another shoot again, I would choose them over and over again. Our photo turn over time was about 2 weeks although they did say it could take up to 1 month. I was so surprised. They ask you for feedback because they care about their clients and want to make them happy. We went in today to choose which photos go in which album, and all I have to say is, this was the best part of my engagement and so many words of gratitude could never convey how I really feel towards Silver Time and their Staff. Thank you to all of you for making my dream engagement photos come true. After this long review, I guess it's safe to say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so here are a few of our very favorites to showcase their amazing work. It was indeed worth every penny.
