Visited this Pakistani spot with high hopes, but it ended up being a pretty mixed experience.
We started with the chaat and a kebab roll--both were disappointing. The chaat lacked the punch of flavor you expect, and the kebab roll was quite bland and forgettable. The paya was another letdown; it was mostly bones with very little gudda or rich broth, which is really the heart of a good paya dish. The keema naan looked promising but tasted just as underwhelming as it appeared--dry and lacking flavor. The nihari was also disappointing, mostly gravy with barely any meat, which was frustrating.
That said, not everything missed. The plain naans were excellent--fresh, soft, and perfectly done. The brain masala was actually a standout, well-cooked and flavorful. And surprisingly, the lemon soda really hit the spot and was one of the most refreshing parts of the meal.
Overall, a place with a couple of bright spots, but consistency and depth of flavor really need improvement. read more
