This is definitely one of the better places for cuts and styles. My daughter had her hair done for a wedding and the stylist did an awesome job. I also like that they have photo albums of the different hair styles they have done, it helps to give you an idea of what to get. read more

I always enjoy the total experience at Kara's Hair Studio. I have been to most all of the girls at one time or another. Enjoy the head massages at the wash bowl!! Very knowledgable on their products. I'm pretty picky, so I am delighted and shocked to have found such a great salon close to home! I have hard to cut, naturally curly hair. Marci knocks it out of the park, every time! My color is amazing. She really listens and I get compliments all the time! I am naturally a dirty blonde and get highlights and low lights; plus I switch between really light for the summer and darker for fall/winter. I love it all year, seamless transition! The atmosphere is cute, welcoming and super accommodating! You will not find any snotty here =) Just a great experience with some of the best services around... Did I mention I'm picky? LOL I was part of a wedding party last year, and having them do the hair for my wedding too. Beautiful, soft, modern dos that photograph SO well and last all night! Without much spray or pins, looks soft and natural! Anything you need/want done, there is someone at Kara's to hook you up! Highly recommend you give them a shot. Kara's is the only place for me! I have been going to Kara's for the better part of 16 years and one of the key things that keeps me going back is the customer service and professionalism the entire staff provides. My daughter recently got married and we had her bridesmaids and herself at Kara's for a wonderful pre wedding experience right down to lots of pictures and laughs by all! Each stylist at Kara's takes the time to get to know you as an individual, how you like your hair, provide suggestions, and best of all you walk away knowing your next appointment will be just as great an experience as the last (if not better!). I just want to put this out there...Marci you ROCK! Keep up the great work ladies, you have not been in business this long for any other reason than the fact that you provide every aspect of service needed to be a top notch salon! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I wouldn't wish this horrific customer service on my worst enemy. I scheduled my wedding hair appointment for me and 5 other girls. I had to give 60$ in a down payment. I cancelled 2 appointments a week in advance like they requested that I do, but they never gave me back my 20$. I scheduled my appointment for 8:30am. At 8:05 they're calling me and asking where I am, saying that I'm late. I told them that no, my appointment was for 8:30, and they said they called and confirmed 8am the day before, which never happened. When I was 15 minutes late, the manager called and said that because I was 15 minutes late that they were now canceling everyone's hair appointments but mine. We get there and there were about 3 hairdressers standing around doing absolutely nothing so they reluctantly agreed to take my other girls, although they all did horrifically terrible jobs, while bitching the entire time about having to do their hair at all. Nikki, who did my hair, did a fantastic job and if she worked anywhere else I would go back to her. So after we left, I realized that they didn't apply my 60$ deposit to anyone's hair. I called and she said she'd have to look into it and get back to me. She calls me back and says that there were some sort of hidden fees not discussed until right this second and/or that I forfeited my deposit by being late. Whatever worked to screw me out of 60$. And she said something along the lines of how she hoped I felt "remorse" for being late. Was I 15 minutes late? Yes. Did she have to be a total and complete C-word about it? Not so much. How you say things is so much more important than what you are saying. If she had said "you know, we have other customers (besides it not being true) so we can't take you" it would have been one thing. But she (manager Karen) was nasty, rude, and condescending. I will never give that establishment one more dime of my money. And considering that I've spent nearly 1000$ there in the past two months, that's their loss, not mine. read more

Kara(owner) has been cutting my hair for 25 years!! She runs a top notch salon! The salon services my entire family and we have never been disappointed. Each and every employee is professional, courteous, and attentive. I recommend this salon to everyone!! They do fabulous every day haircuts, as well as special occasion up do's and even makeup! Absolutely awful. I'm from out of state and I was getting my hair done for a wedding. The hairdresser managed to make my hair a huge frizzy mess!!! I have curly hair and it looked like a huge rat's nest in the back! She didn't have time to fix bc her next appointment was there. I cried bc I didn't like and I STILL had to pay! When I got back to the hotel I had to get a 14 year old re-curl my hair..which LOOKED so much BETTER! Never EVER again! read more
