Hoo 121 sells shoes exclusively, while their shop next door, sells clothing mostly made from linen/breathable fabrics--resort wear if you will. Back to the shoes. I went buck wild with my mom while hunting for bridesmaids shoes for my girls and sandals for me for my upcoming destination wedding. They had a huge selection of both. There was one full wall dedicated to satin and bedazzled shoes! All their sandals were gorgeous and I've gotten many compliments on my Indian-inspired ones since I bought them (in 3 colors, lol). If they don't have something in stock in the color or size you need, they can also order it. So why is it worth your time to shop here? This is just a great small business. I would never ordinarily write a review on a shoe shop in the fashion district because there are a million of them and for many, one is as good as any other. HOWEVER, I was really touched by this lovely family. As if warm service was not enough, it was so nice to see this family business thriving. The father beamed with pride when he spoke about his children -- two sisters manning the shoe store and his son working next door. Though he fled his home country with nothing, his children had all grown up well and were all college graduates. The esteem with which the children treated him is something you rarely see in LA where spoiled rotten kids dominate. So if I'm going to spend money on some shoes, I'll always make a stop here.

To be honest, the decor and vibe itself was so bright and inviting it made me want to "just look." So I walked in and was quickly greeted by two beautiful sisters with such warm friendly energy. They assured me they would be more than happy to help if I had any questions or wanted to try something on. I of course always have a million questions and NEED to try on everything. I tried on several different styles but there selection of heels was so beautiful and diverse from the lowest kitten heel to the tallest stiletto. Although I'm not a fan of "NO RETURNS," Yesmin's return policy was specified to me from the very beginning before I made my purchase, it was very much appreciated so that I wouldn't have any surprises/issues later. Even so, I ended up purchasing 2 pairs because I loved them both and couldn't decide on just 1...plus the girl that helped me engaged so well in our conversation! She told me the story of how Yesmin Shoes started and who it's named after and that literally made my day! Over all, 10 out of 10 on both product quality and customer service.
