This review is for Champion Window Co. Sunroom in the Albuquerque NM area. It is written hopefully…read moreto HELP those contemplating buying a Champion Sunroom. Looking back, the whole experience was a nightmare. We did not do enough research about sunrooms and just thought a sunroom was a sunroom, when planning the conversion of our 7x12 ft covered patio to a sunroom. Tip, the Champion Seller coming to your home is Not your Friend, he/she is a person trying to get the most money for less of a job as WE LEARNED. Our Champion seller Richard V. was a "Hustler" in our opinion.. A buyer should not just accept the cost amount on the contract, but rather should negotiate. We accepted what was first given to us in the contract, and later learned we probably paid about $3500.00 too much. Richard drew us a Sketch of 3 choices for size of windows, we chose his first sketch. Later finding out with Marcos when measuring, ........the window sketch we chose with Richard was NOT even available. Do Not accept sketches from the seller, DEMAND seeing actual photos of what your contract reads, and photos of what you are buying. After all, this is the digital world we live in. Richard did not totally explain what was in the contract, like transoms, we did not even know what a transom was until measurements were made by Champion's Marcos. Richard V. handed us a blank warranty paper but did not explain it, nor did he give us anywhere our Customer Number to complete the warranty. Later, Champion's worker, Gilbert, who was obviously in training (in our opinion) came to our home after Marcos' measurements were taken. Gilbert said he was there to take more measurements and said if we ever had questions we could call him.. During Gilbert's first visit, he asked ME for a level to measure???! During another visit with Gilbert, he drew a SKETCH of what we were buying.. He and we both signed his Sketch paper showing that the Transoms would be Glass, Marcos was also present at this meeting. Again, Do not just Accept Sketches........ask for an actual photograph of what you are buying. Gilbert called the next day & informed us..... transoms would Not be glass as drawn & SIGNED in HIS sketch, as contract reads Vinyl transoms. It was in the contract drawn up by Richard, after we DOUBLED CHECKED , and the transoms ARE checked as Vinyl....big difference in cost. We called Gilbert back to ask the size of transoms with his yelling to us & said he would call us back & he never did. We had to call Shyia at a Champion main number, and she Finally gave us our Customer Number (4150002894).Shyia had Albuquerque Champion Frank D. telephone us. We explained our Champion headaches with Frank who DID help Frank offered to send a drawing of Sunroom dimensions, we said PLEASE send a Picture/Photo of what we are buying, and he did. Both drawn sketches, one by Richard and the other by Gilbert were WRONG. Drawing a sketch is like the year 1966, this is 2026 giving a picture/photo to possible customers is so easy, sketches are a waste of time and can sure cause problems. For 3rd time, Demand photos and don't rely on Champion SKETCHES. Frank D. was now in control of the job and weeks later it was completed with Marcos doing the installation. Everything we have written in this review is also documented with messages and emails with Champion Window co. We truly believe we Paid a lot of money for a lot of Frustration & lack of sleep.

NOT RECOMMENDED! This is by far my worst contractor experience. I was left completely in the dark…read moreon project start dates, delays, return and finish dates, and special order updates. I grew extremely frustrated, and was eventually forced to conclude Lujan & Sons Constr. (LSC) has no concern for customer satisfaction. LSC was contracted for a tar/gravel re-roof and parapet repair. Here is just a PARTIAL list of what I experienced, and what should be considered red flags for potential new customers. - HSC failed to pull a permit, as required by the city. I checked with the city the day after the job was finished, and again 1 week later. JSC even cashed my final payment BEFORE I forced them to pull a permit with a series of documented text messages. - 2 delays on my re-roof project start date without any advance notification (once, they called THAT morning). - I had to spend 45 minutes every evening cleaning up after the roofers around the entire perimeter of my home. The debris included roof gravel with sticky tar, which forced me to wear shoes covers. I soon discovered they swept roof gravel into my decorative rock and flower gardens. - In one instance during my evening clean up, the roofers left several large pieces of lumber next to my driveway, which protruded 8-9 inches into the sidewalk. Very dangerous, and another city ordinance violation. I was forced to move them myself. - Without my permission, they used MY waterhoses, pushbroom and even my A-frame ladder (to hang plastic over the windows). Talk about a major contractor NO-NO!! For liability reasons, I NEVER would have allowed them to use my A-frame ladder! - They double-kinked my water hose in the frontyard to "turn off the water", and once left the water running for hours until I turned it off. - They threw trash in my recycle bin, which included a beer bottle wrapped in aluminum foil. - HSC asked for a progress payment, which was NOT in the terms of the agreement; I refused. - I never once received a phone call asking if I was satisfied with the work, with the work crew, with their daily clean up, if they were on time in the morning, if they worked a full day, if I had any concerned or complaints that needed to be addressed, etc. Not once. To put my review in perspective, I have been a homeowner for 30 years; this is not my first experience with contractors, both good and bad. I believe this makes me more than qualified to provide potential customers an objective review based on facts, many of which are documented with photos and text messages. Lastly, HSC has given me NO reason to believe I was provided a high quality roof and parapet repair that will last 20+ years. They showed no concern in my immediate satisfaction, so why should I believe they are interested in my satisfaction 15 or 20 years down the road!? I would strongly advise against using this company!!
