I have had 15 surgeries in 12 years and have an aggressive autoimmune disease that requires pain management and injections and all manner of treatment options. The care and compassion are wonderful. If you live with chronic pain in the current climate, it can be impossible to get long-term help or get compassionate care. But Dr. Root will and can help. From spine shots and other options, they have an solution for almost every problem; this has been my experience. The office staff are helpful and wonderful -- they don't judge and do their best to understand and manage your needs. Also, they answer the phone; however, if they are busy and you leave a message, they WILL CALL YOU BACK -- a concept that is forgotten in many medical facilities. There are not enough kind words to explain how much they have helped me live a full and happy life beyond my condition. He scheduled the MRI for me 10 minutes after my visit with him (conveniently located in his building), had the test read by a radiologist as well as reviewed it with a colleague hand expert the following afternoon. That evening he called me with the good (thankfully) news. I could not be more happy with his professionalism, kindness, and sense of urgency. As a first-time patient, I personally would have liked a bit more individualized care during my adjustment. The appointment was fairly brief (around 15 minutes) and felt more standardized than tailored to my specific needs. This may work well for many patients, but for me, I tend to respond better to a more customized approach. I also think body type can play a role in chiropractic care. While Dr. Bauman is clearly knowledgeable and professional, those in larger bodies may feel more comfortable with a chiropractor who has greater physical strength or uses different techniques. The office does offer some nice amenities, including a rolling adjustment table, access to massage therapists, and discounted rates on certain days. My insurance doesn't cover chiropractic visits, and the $60 out-of-pocket cost felt reasonable for this area. Overall, this practice may be a good fit for some, but I left wishing my regular chiropractor had availability, as I didn't feel quite as confident that my migraine symptoms were fully resolved. I appreciate the professionalism of the staff and would recommend others decide based on their personal preferences and needs. Also, parking is pretty easy. If something isn't within his scope of support, he is always happy and eager to offer a referral. Because of all my medical conditions and doctors appointments and treatments, I have CPTSD and one of the most amazing things about Dr. Nevo is that he not only treats your body, but also your mind. He understands how intricately linked physical pain and your mental state can be. Finding a doctor that takes into consideration and understands the mental turmoil that pain causes and how it relates to the physical aspect of things is very, very rare indeed. I was feeling anxious and unhopeful and just trying to get through the day. It was a constant nightmare. I dreaded going to sleep knowing that in the middle of the night my flare ups would begin and I would get no sleep. Since I have met Dr. Nevo, for the first time in my life I feel hopeful. I've seen doctors in the past since my accident from June of 2024 and not one doctor that I have met has made me feel taken care of. Not only am I feeling better due to the treatment I am receiving but I love that Dr. Nevo is so empathetic and supportive. He's never in a rush to get through the appointment and he addresses all your concerns.The one time I started to not feel well again due to the medication not working and he heard of my pain, he immediately scheduled an appointment over the phone to discuss what was going on. Never in my life has a doctor done that. You are forced through to Facey's completely incompetent and inadequate system. I'm 3 weeks in to trying to get a copy of my medical records. They send you to MyChart but then NEVER check messages or respond. I call and I'm #21 in the queue, waiting on hold for HOURS. And it's not just during "busy times," it's ALL of the time. Put it this way, I would take the DMV any day over dealing with OSS/Facey now. Such a shame that this behemoth of monster has swallowed a once great practice.
