I love Hallmark stores. Why? Because once a year I need a new little calendar. So, I search for the closest Hallmark store and hope for the best. At this particular Hallmark store, however, I also found LOTS of interesting potential gifts for people on my Christmas list. I bought an adorable dinosaur PJ set for my great nephew. He's going to love them, and they were really very reasonably priced!! Score! I did also get my free little calendar! This may have to be my Hallmark store of choice in future years. read more

I'm not sure how much longer these stores will remain in almost every mall in town. Some of them are now found in less well-frequented strip malls. This is a great example of a well-stocked store where you can find last-minute gift ideas, unusual gift ideas, rare and collectible gift ideas as well as great choices for gift cards, wrapping paper and other eclectic stuff. The best amenity that this store contains is that it also has a post office sub-station here so you can purchase, wrap and mail all in one place. Parking is easy as there is a grocery store and a hardware store on the same corner. read more

Wei and Cyndee are exceptional customer service agents at the Post Office, there in Karen's Hallmark store. There's different post offices that I can choose from. There's a couple on my way to work couple, a couple by my house, but I prefer coming to this post office because of Wei and Cyndee. They always provide service with a smile. Humans have different personalities. Some are demanding some not so demanding, so to work with a smile every day on your face is quite challenging. I had a very pleasant experience some months ago that I would like to share. I was in a rush and I had to ship packages that were not quite ready to be shipped. However, Cyndee and Wei worked really hard to help me repackage my packages so that I could get out on time. Was this their responsibility ? Not at all, nonetheless they help me with a smile on their face with such great politeness and professionalism that it left a deep impression. I hope they get recognition for their amazing customer service to the postal system. They really do deserve recognition. They're an excellent addition to Karen's Hallmark store. Reason is that when I go in there just to drop off mail, at times I end up buying something from the Hallmark store... so it's just really good for business. I recommend this Post Office to anybody since Wei and Cyndee are very skillful at dealing with customers from varying backgrounds. I just got home from shopping at Karen's Hallmark on 32nd St in Phoenix. I have to use a cane so had to sit and rest frequently. I asked the clerk if there might be a stool for me to use. She immediately went in the back and brought out a folding chair for me. At one point, she came over and offered to take some things up to the register for me. I asked if there might be a box for one of my purchases. She searched until she found one. After all this, she offered to help me out to my car! Horrible location, but well worth it. Service here is friendly and there are a great many selections for hallmark cards and other hallmark items. I do like the convenience of the post office inside which is better than the one on Greenway. It is in a horrible location and in corner and behind the Yogurt Mart but there are enough people in the neighborhood to use this location. It seems pretty busy during the day. I agree with Tasia T. Great customer service. Good selection on cards. Don't go to the Walgreens for cards, because their selection seems to be limited to people who do not like to read. read more

Everyone that works here in front and back in post office are always so helpful and asking if I need help with anything! I buy about 300.00 dollars of keepsake ornaments every year. This last Christmas, I did not see the level of customer service that I was used to. I told a cashier how I felt, and she did not do any followup. The store in the summit (Scottsdale road) was my hallmark store since it opened. This was not what I expected. My family has shopped at HALLMARK for years. We really appreciate them having a post office in there store . The store is kept immaculant. You are always greeted with a smile. The girls working in there go above and beyond. If need greeting cards, specialty gifts you can't find anywhere else at reasonable price take the trip on down. I want to thank them for the beautiful gift. I recently got diagnosed with breast cancer thank you for caring and prayers. This review is for the post office in the back. I have read the previous reviews before mine and the person you speak of is named Candy in the back. She is extremely rude and needs to be fired. Every time I bring in pre-paid mail(easier for them) and I need a FREE flat rate USPS flat rate envelope or box to use, she says, "Don't you order your own supplies from USPS!?". Yes I do, in fact I do quite often. But sometime I do run out of a certain size flat rate box or envelope and need one. They are FREE, and you are a USPS. She then complains they will not keep handing them out to be because their store gets no profit and is I quote, "more work for them." Really? Handing me a free flat rate envelope is going to kill you? Does your lazy disgusting self not want to move the extra 2 inches to pass me something? I have also seen Candy discriminate against a Persian family. She would not allow them about 6" of clear tape to close their envelope(which is against their policy to use their tape in the first place), but I have seen her wrap an ENTIRE package for some white lady. And it was WAY MORE than 6". This lady needs to be fired. She makes this entire place HORRIBLE! read more

The lady in the mail room today was the most unpleasant person I have ever had the misfortune to meet. She had medium length dark brown hair, and she was just RUDE to everyone. She really made you feel stupid for not knowing what to do. Isnt it the job of a postal worker to be happy and helpful? All of the other people who work in the store are lovely! Can you say FAST....FAST.....FAST service.....I mean this place is awesome if you have packages to mail. They have a great system here......clerk takes your order.....takes your money....places the package on a table.....end of transaction. They have a separate group of workers that take care of any packages and drops the mail into there corresponding bags to be picked up at the designated time. NO lines....NO hassle....NO frills.....only Thrills.....wohoooo!!!!! The United States Post Office could learn a thing or to from this awesome and efficient staff......just wish my P.O. Box was located here now.....might have to make a change now that I am writing this.....LOL. I use this Hallmark location as my go-to Post Office. There are usually two windows open to help ship packages, but there is a third one that the staff doesn't hesitate to open when the line gets long enough. This is greatly appreciated! There is nothing worse than standing in a long line with an unopened window that can be manned by an extra employee that customers are starring at, annoyed. Five stars for that fact alone. In addition to multiple windows, the staff is super, super fast and this location is open for a few hours on Sunday! Love it! The Hallmark store itself is filled with tons of cards and knickknacks to peruse. Everything from jewelry to coffee mugs and the staff is always friendly. read more

I have been going here for years and now I'm done. Recently, it seems the post office had a spike in prices, and the staff which is usually nice to me, had a new lady there I've never seen who was so rude, and offered absolutely NO HELP!!!! She wanted to charge me $50 to mail two pounds of papers from here to Missouri overnight. That was outrageous, and when I look online, the cost is $30, at the high end, and in the express envelopes (which she never told me about), it's only $20. She ended up charging me $12, and online at USPS, it appears the charge is closer to $5. I've also had issues with them and international mailings. They don't provide papers anymore, instead they have a notebook computer that should have graduated high school by now and barely functions anymore to print papers for customs. At the post office, it' just business as normal, with no need to print papers and bring them in or any hassle. This place used to be the best, but now it just seems like they don't care, they don't help, and it's frustrating. read more

I have used the 32nd St & Shea location Hallmark Post Office for a few years. You can get in and out fairly quickly, and if there is a line for shipping, well you have lots of stuff to look at while you wait. Even at their busiest times, the staff here always greet me with a smile and process my transaction efficiently. They try to help customers find the most cost effective way to mail their packages. They are happy to help when they can, and within reason. No, they do not want to hand out free tape to every other person coming in to ship something. But if you think about it, the cost of the tape is coming out of the store owner's pocket. Be prepared with your own shipping supplies when you come in, or be prepared to pay to use the Hallmark supplies. Another thing is that this is a "contract" postal location. They get paid when the customer BUYS the POSTAGE at the counter. So those bringing in "prepaid" postage labeled packages can use this location for convenience, but they are not supporting the livelihood of the business. There is no special treatment. I have seen these "drop-off" customers get very perturbed that they have to stand in line with the paying customers. They need to realize that those paying customers are what keeps the business in business. No offense. And remember, your attitude going in to an establishment has a lot to do with the kind of service you will receive. Respect the person trying to help you. From what I have seen, the Post Office staff here really does have the customers best interest in mind. read more

I live in the neighborhood and frequent Karen's Hallmark several times/week. I love the the helpful staff who consistently goes out of their way to help me when I enter...Up until recently. There appears to be a new GM on sight who rather enjoys the drama in life. He was not only extremely rude to my daughter and I but VERY loud in his annoyance of our questions. His attitude was EXTREMELY condescending, to the point that other customers began to stare at my daughter and I. I apologized for bothering him and his eye rolls were the last straw. I, unfortunately will not be returning to Karen's Hallmark while this GM is employed, whom by the way must have mentioned 10 times how important he was with his title of GM. Sad that our neighborhood Hallmark is no longer an option:( read more

Very friendly staff. The 5 stars are for my experience with the post office located within the store. The staff there is friendly and they never rush you despite the lines they sometimes have. I work nearby and love being able to quickly drop a piece of mail. I have been in here twice in the last two months. The first time I was looking to buy generic baby shower invitations and the second time I was looking to buy a card or gift for my child's teacher for teacher appreciation week. Both times they did not have anything remotely close to what I was looking for. This was extremely surprising to me because I thought hallmark was suppose to sell cards and all those little nick knack gifts. Was super bummed about them not having anything for teachers, especially since I am an educator and Arizona's teachers just ended a week long walkout. They did however have a nice section set up for nurses appreciation week. Could it be political? I know businesses are suffering because of amazon/online shopping and people not going to stores anymore. I am huge proponent of going to stores and buying gifts in stores rather than from amazon but I guess I have no choice. Totally losing business here. Stinks because the people working here have been very kind. read more

This is the closest post office to my house. I had 2 postage-paid boxes to leave. Normally there is an area to drop them. I asked if I could leave them and the woman said, "No, you must wait in line!" Kind of defeats the purpose of pre-paying, but okay. As I went to the end of the line she hollered, "Now you're interrupting me from what I'm in the middle of doing!" As far as I'm concerned she was more distracted by adding on the rude comment and humiliating me in front of other customers. I immediately left and dropped my packages at the UPS store across the street. I will go out of my way to not return here after being treated so rudely! read more

Absolutely awesome customer service! Salesperson discovered an error in the sales price and provided the appropriate credit! Mind you this was after I left the store! This is significant because she took the time to look up my rewards account for my phone number and called me about 15 mins after I left the store. Postal service is BELOW one star!!! These postal gals in the back accepted 7 prepaid packages....6 got delivered and number 7 is MIA....there is no help and they refuse accountability....I drove there all the way from Avondale and they have the balls to tell me to go to 40th and Van Buren to find out what happened to my package....well...obviously if you chose to do a pre-pay (like PayPal/e-bay) for instance, you'll get a tracking number....but if the package does not get forwarded...or if it is on a shelf and sits there....then there is no processing activity on anybody's postal site...right? I can go to a computer in DC and there won't be any other info as I see here in Phoenix....right? For all I know...the unit is still inside the USPS Hallmark store or in...maybe somebody's trunk? Lost my trust...lost money...lost my believe in honesty... thanks god I'm not the type and don't go "postal"!!! read more

I just had a very unpleasant experience in this Hallmark Store. I would often go to this store to use the post office and browse around after. Often purchasing something. On this occassion I bought two things I wanted first, and my 2 year old started playing with some wooden animals on a low shelf. I asked her to stop, but then my attention for a few seconds got distracted because I had to pay. The person behind the counter immediately said 'your child is playing with those animals.' as in 'Stop.' I asked my child to stop and come by me, of which she immediately did. Then I went to stand in line at the post office and my child woundered over to look at and yes, touch, the stuffed animals which I believe would be harmless. A second and much ruder sales person by the name of Candy K. said to me something along the lines of 'Would get control over your child and stop making a mess of the store.' i was shocked and horrified by this women. I spend all day with my child, and take pride that she is a good listener for the majority of the time, and is generallly conscientious and careful in her ways. I know that by working in the store, they must encounter truly rambutous kids, but I did not appreciate being treated as if my child was wild or out of control. I hope the owner sees this review to know what people are encountering is what is suppose to be a pleasant place to browse and perhaps buy something sentimental. Now I do not wish to return there. read more
