    Pupusas
    Karo R.

Maybe I just don't understand this food..... But I was referred to this restaurant to try the pupusas and I wasn't happy at all. I normally get them at a Mexican restaurant and maybe they messed them up in some weird delicious way, but I didn't like the ones that I ordered here. I order a total of 4, and my son and I only had one a piece before we gave up on them. They were greasy and made with a little to much cornmeal for my taste. The sauce tasted like tomato soup and I'm use to eating them with salsa. LOL. I didn't want to rate them to low because I didn't try anything else. From now on, I will be visiting my Mexican spot.

My first experience to Salvadorian Restaurant. Forewarning, the barely speak English. I tried following: Pollo Guisado - good amount of food and equally great in taste. Pechuga de pollo a la plancha - chicken breast. Delicious. I had it with beans. Papuaaa de frijol con quesso. This was really good as well. Make sure to have it with a mouth freshener.

I had fried plantains & beans. Absolutely delicious! Huge portions-- I had leftovers to take home. Service was good. My server didn't speak or understand English, but we communicated just fine. My meal plus a canned coke was only $5 before tip.

Definitely one of the best Salvadorian food I've had. Everything is made as you order so the food is very fresh tasting. The restaurant itself is small and comfortable. The location is a little ways away from Atlanta but, if you're craving authentic pupusas, the trip is well worth it.

Very good food! Service was great and everyone was friendly. There was a language barrier but that didn't matter. The staff was very helpful and made sure we were taken care of. The pupusas were very tasty. I will be going back again.

    Delicious

Amazing pupusas. Inexpensive, quick, staff are pleasant and polite. Will definitely be back.

Great pupusas revueltas. The fried yucca is crisp and tasty. Beware the slaw is very spicy, it took.my breath away.

I've had a million pupusas and these were dry and the dough wasn't right - where's the cheese?!…read more Pupusas are one of my favorite foods from El Salvador. I've had them in Los Angeles and Richmond Virginia where they have the largest populations outside of El Salvador, yeah I know El Salvador the country is tiny, but that's about 7 million people plus. This is the second time I've eaten here and disappointed, wish they would put more cheese and cook the dough more. As for COVID risk assessment. 7 or 10. Day labors don't like to wear mask and they are not rejecting folks due to the economical instability of the pandemic. Maybe next time I'll try the soup? If they can't make that right, they should consider them self a Salvadorian restaurant.

Unfortunately, the pupusas are small for what you pay for and not the best, they are just ok. However, it settles any craving since Salvadoran restaurants are limited in this area. I ordered the traditional dish with the tamale, chicharrón and yucca. The yucca was good, the tamale was ok and chicharrón was as expected. Nothing amazing. The pupusas lacked loroco. I could barely taste it. The revuelto pupusa was good. My husband's garlic shrimp with rice was good as well. The prices were average, pupusa price was a little expensive for the small pupusa you got. Overall, this place was ok.

Well, this El Dorado Salvadorian restaurant is one of those As I arrived I was greeted friendly and got seated right away. Chips and salts are brought out. The salsa for the chips was amazing. The chips nice and thin and crisp. Today was Tuesday so I got the taco special. $2 tacos as long as you buy soft drink or tea. I had two chicken and one pork street tacos on homemade corn tortillas. The chicken was very good. The pork was excellent. The toenail salsa that came on the side was tasty and just a little heat. Not too much for this gringo. LOL So I want to thank Luis and his uncle who are the owners of this restaurant for the hospitality and the great food today. I really enjoyed our little chat about the difference and Mexican food and local eateries. I'll definitely be back. Bring my partner and have a full dinner.

The proteins were well cooked, and all the other items were also great! We also loved the chips and salsa! The service was also good (4/5), although getting the check could have been a bit quicker. The interior of the restaurant is clean; however, I am not a huge fan of the ads on the tables. Overall, this is a very solid Mexican restaurant, and I am excited to come back and try more options!
