I stopped in for lunch with a friend after a long walk on the silver comet trail. It is very bright and colorful inside. They were playing upbeat Latin music. The menu is pretty extensive. I have gone in and ordered take out at the bar, and the service is always friendly and helpful. Chips and salsa are super decent and the chunky guac is a favorite. The taquitos (both chicken and beef) have a great crunch and flavor. They aren't the skinny ones either! The poblano plate has been a consistent entree for me, and I add an eaten side of tortillas because I have leftovers and make little tacos with them. I can't speak to dining in, because I just take my stuff home, but have had a beverage at the bar counter while I wait for my order (which is not long at all, so plan accordingly!) I don't know just what is happening with Los Bravos. We have been going there for years for good Mexican food, but on our last visit the food was below the normal quality. The meat was dry and the chips and tortillas tasted old and not crispy. Also the quac didn't have any flavor. Don't know if it was a bad day in the kitchen or if this is the new experience. Was referred to this spot a while back and finally decided to go and take my dad for his birthday. I highly recommend going for any and all birthdays. They give you a monster margarita and a fried ice cream on the house and sing happy birthday and give you a sombrero to wear. I was really shocked by the variety on their menu. I've never had food cooked in fruit before, specifically a pineapple. It was really good and filling. Food to table time was on point and they were pretty busy. Our server was really nice and was very accommodating in letting us take our time before we ordered, because everything was a lot of food. It didn't seem like it at first, but once stuff starts coming out that table gets packed, quick! It was quiet for the most part, minus one of the other birthday parties that was there from the time we came in to the time we left which was about two hours. All together including the tip it was about $80, which, when taking into consideration the amount of food we got and the free birthday items that were provided to us was an absolute win in my book. Our waitress was amazing as always, she's a grandmother so she really cared our baby and he's vegan so it really meant a lot to us that she was concerned for the preparation of his food. This is our go-to Mexican place, typically for a party of 2 you can be seated quickly in the bar section. We've always had great service when we've visited. We cycle between the fajita quesadilla, shredded chicken taco salad or a combo. They have a house made hot salsa/sauce that will light you up but it's a great flavor! My steak tacos were freakin banging but the pastor taco i didn't care for it. My family ordered several different dishes and we were all very please with our luncheon selection. Folks in Smyrna are a big fan of Los Bravos because every time I come the parking is crazy. They serve really good food. When I've visited, it's always been for to go orders and during Covid, I came quite often for the chicken soup. It's very authentic and simple. Chicken, broth, avocado, tomato, onions and rice. Hubby and I have tried to renew our relationship with this establishment. I have found that it is still hit or miss. My main complaint is with the inconsistency of the margarita mix. (Rock Gut) I believe the owner(nice guy)changes brands based on what he can buy the cheapest. If you go there and Junior (in management) is there you will have a great meal and drink. We are Back again to this spot and doing great things along our day! It's going down on a Tuesday. The atmosphere was true chill since it's post lunch crowd. I am a stickler on customer experience and we aren't disappointed at all. Our bartender / waiter Rodolfo was very kind and personable as his opening salutation was "Welcome back Amigos" y my reply was Sì soy una amiga del este restaurante If you need more detail on the Food, we just had a cheese dip with ground beeef and it was good and cheesy. This was is located in a corner of a plaza which is fine with me bcuz it's ducked off to the side. Our waiter was very nice and patient with us. We ordered shrimp queso. Two chicken chimichanga meals side of rice and 3 street tacos. One on the rocks mango margarita and one Texas frozen. Everything was delicious, not too salty perfectly seasoned. We went as a family of four and ordered the Veggie Fajitas, and Tapatias Fajitas and a large order of Texas Guacamole and it was plenty! They had a large party of 25 people that was sat right before us but they were very attentive and apologetic. The restaurant is located in the publix shopping center with plenty of parking! I like the food here but the people that answer the phone NEED HELP! I've had several orders having to repeat my order at least 3 times and still gets messed up. They replaced my sweet tea with regular tea - but after the chip situation I didn't want to ask for a new sweet tea. I will say that the service was top notch, friendly and timely from the time we walked in to the time we left. A couple of house margaritas were ordered and they were cheap, large and strong. Exactly what you look for in a margarita. Food wise, we both ordered from the combo list, so again we were not expecting anything that a good enchilada covered in cheese and sauce sided with a crunchy taco. This is exactly what we got, but in a tad larger portion that we imagined. Again, nothing amazing here, but also nothing terrible.
