Cachapa con Queso with a Frescolito

This is my second time eating here. It's my kind of place hidden off in the cut in a small shopping center on Cobb Pkwy. I had the Cachapa Clásica this time. The corn cake was perfectly cooked stuffed with cheese then topped with more cheese!! I will definitely be back to continue working thru the menu.

The name means "Hungry Avenue" and I'm no Zuelan, but this place seems like the real deal! Tucked inside an average strip mall, this small space is packed with delightful South American favors and delights. Bright colors and vivid wall murals welcome you into an inviting dining experience. We had Tequeños (Venezuelan cheese sticks), Reina Pepiada (filled corn meal patty), Pabellón (shredded beef combo) and Tostones (fried plantains). Every thing was delicious, with a beautiful presentation that was unexpected in this homey, unpretentious setting. The entire space was clean, and the staff was engaging. We ordered house-made drinks that were lip-smacking good!

10/10 everything was amazing!!! It took a little bit of time but it's because everything came out super fresh. I literally can't wait until the next time we come.

I am honored to be the first to review this spot! I ordered takeout via UberEats today, so I can't speak on ambiance yet. Service was quick to pack up my order but was not accurate. They forgot my papelón con limón, and I was very excited about trying this drink for the first time, so I was sadly disappointed. On the positive, despite giving me the wrong order of tequeños (I ordered one 8 inch and they subbed with 5 small ones), they were delicious and absolutely stuffed with cheese. Yum! The tartar sauce was great with it of course. Next, the cachapa clásica was the reason I placed my order. I was craving that cheese and sweet corn pancake! It came with a side of tangy nata that balanced it all out and tasted great together. A critique I have is that the cheese inside was extremely thin. I'm used to ordering from places that don't skimp like this so that was a little disappointing. The cachapa also kind of crumbled apart in a lot of areas and didn't keep its shape too well. Finally, the arepa cochino trio (pork, avocado, and queso de mano) was tasty. It was slices of pork as opposed to shredded like I typically prefer, but that was my own mistake in expecting that. Regardless, it has great flavor and was packed with ingredients. I'm going to be lenient on this review because everything tasted great despite the issues mentioned. I'm willing to give another chance and am interested in trying more items.

Amazing Venezuelan food. Lived in Miami and this tops any Venezuelan restaurant I used to go there!

Decent little place for a quick bite. Menus is authentic but limited. Very heavy on fried foods like empanadas. Good but not great.

Worth a visit! So delicious! We have driven by for 3 years and finally decided to order online…read more(there is an app to order through) and pick up. I was pleasantly surprised! The sancocho with white rice - chefs kiss! The sancocho definitely had two servings worth. We also tried the sampler (1 empanada, 1 tequeno, 4 different arepas) and also a tostones dish topped with chicken, cheese, cilantro - wow! Everything was great! The bean and platano arepa was my favorite and I can't wait to go back for more. I would love to try their other dishes. We visited the kennesaw location conveniently located off of Cherokee next door to a shell gas station. Great customer service! We were instantly greeted by a sweet woman behind the counter. We did not dine in on this visit but I bet the food is even better if you dine in (as it would be fresh and hot off the stove). I can't wait to go back!

The food has great flavor in the portion sizes are good. Service is quick and friendly. Occasionally I will get a singular large arepa, but it's hard to pass up the sampler which has four different ones. I'm really keen on the Reina Pepiada and the Domino. Both of these come on the sampler with a steak and catira grilled. You can't sit and eat in the restaurant, it is clean and has tables, but I usually take mine to go. Sometimes I don't make it past the parking lot though before digging in lol.

**This review is for their Gainesville location that opened not long ago…read more You know my love for Venezuelan food so the fact that Gainesville now has another Venezuelan food spot is a huge YES for me. They have a fun menu but my main go to is their pastelitos because they are hard to find. Call ahead like I did and get some pastelitos to go!! @don.arepacho is inside a Mobil gas station off Browns Bridge Rd in Gainesville. I've been back a few times and every items has been good, but be warned, if you order the VERGATARIA burger, make sure you're hungry AND have your stretchy pants on... that thing is NOT playing Their dining area isn't what I would call a full dine in set up, they have a few small tables in case you decide to eat there but it isn't a full DINE IN restaurant like the spot they have in Norcross. If you show up at any get together with pastelitos... everyone will love you, ask me how I know Get your order in and let me know if you can finish off that burger!!! Pictured here LA VERGATARIA - Venezuelans have always liked dressing up their burgers, so don't be surprised by this. In between the buns you'll find the following: a burger patty, grilled chicken, pork tenderloin, bacon, egg, little pepito fries, American cheese, queso de mano (soft white cheese). You're gonna have to be comfortable with getting a little messy here Pastelitos - These are Venezuelan pastelitos, my favorite. You can order a variety of types like ground beef, cheese and potato, pizza, cheese, chicken, or mini pateslitos which are AWESOME because they are a dollar each so you can grab a variety of them Steak Arepa Chicken Cachapa #rolieats #goodeats #goodfood #venezuelanfood #gainesville #northgeorgia #burgers #pastelitos #cachapas #arepas #donarepacho #latinofood #bigfan

When I saw the wall of freshly made bagels, I knew it was going to be good. My husband and I both were blown away of how fresh and well made these sandwiches were. Seriously, it was so good that I went back two days later and told my son he had to try it too. Unfortunately, the second experience was the complete opposite. My son picked up two sandwiches and brought them home, and they were so disappointing that neither of us even finished them. The bagels tasted stale, they weren't toasted, and there was barely any of the cream cheese dressing on them. My son actually thought I was crazy for telling him how delicious the sandwich was because what he brought home was nothing like what I had the first time. That's what makes it so disappointing. I know the sandwich CAN be really good because my first one was amazing. But based on my two experiences, it seems like the quality may depend on who is making your sandwich that day and whether the bagels are fresh. One big plus is that they have a lot of non-pork options, which I really appreciate as someone who doesn't eat pork. I'd still be willing to give them another try because that first sandwich was THAT good, but the second visit was extremely disappointing. Consistency definitely needs some work.
