I called the office to provide the information and also expressed that I was frustrated by the repeated calls. My concern was never about the importance of having accurate insurance information--I completely understand that. I work in customer service myself, and I appreciate the need for accurate records. My frustration was simply that I had already told the office I would call back, yet I felt pressured before I had the opportunity to do so. Rather than acknowledging my concern, the office manager spoke to me in a way that felt dismissive and condescending. She even asked if I "always talk to my customers the way I was talking to her," despite the fact that I remained respectful throughout the conversation. I never raised my voice or spoke disrespectfully; I simply expressed my frustration with how the situation was handled. As a parent, first impressions matter when choosing healthcare providers for my children. Unfortunately, this interaction left me with little confidence in the office's approach to communication and customer service, so I chose to cancel our appointments and seek dental care elsewhere.

She got me in as a new patient fairly quickly and did a thorough exam. She addressed my concerns, and suggested some options. I want to share an example of how thorough and knowledgeable Dr. Muff is - my one tooth was causing me sharp sensitivity to liquid, that started a few months ago. The dentist I WAS seeing at the time said there was nothing to worry about.. well upon arrival to Dr. Muff's she examined the area (which at one point had a filling done that was poorly done) and insisted I see an endodontist for a potential root canal.. as that is what she suspected was needed. Shortly after, I got into the specialist she recommended, and the imaging/specialist indeed confirmed I needed a root canal! My tooth already feels better. I do not have dental insurance. He took an X-ray and said I have an infection above where I had root canal 2 years ago and that I needed to go to my endodontist. I was charged $189. My endodontist had a CT image capture done and kept looking at the image saying he did not see any sign of an infection and didn't know why I was referred that and what he could even do as a next step. He stated the pain was most likely from a sinus issue. The total cost was $330 for the visit. I returned to T&P and explained what happened to Dr. Lou. He said the endodontist cost seemed high and dismissed his initial diagnosis saying that it was good we ruled out an infection as a cause for the pain!? He looked at my chipped tooth and said it needed a crown. He pitched his office's dental plan and walked out. He was very unconcerned that I had paid over $500 and had really nothing to show for it. Personally, if I unnecessarily caused someone to spend over $500 I would stand up and offer some help for restitution like reimbursing my initial $189 fee, offer to discount work on the crown, or something. Standing behind one's work, IMHO, tells a lot about a person's integrity and wouldn't trust any doctor or business that doesn't possess it.

My previous dentist minimally abraded my molar and applied bonding to guard against tooth…read moresensitivity. It had been 7 years and the bonding fell off. I was in no rush to go to the dentist to get the bonding replaced because my molar didn't bother me at all. When I went to Dr Lawrence's office a few months later for a regular check up, I was seen by Dr. Kratzer. She asked me if I had any pain or sensitivity with the bonding being gone. I said no. She said she would replace the bonding and I agreed. Dr. Kratzer replaced the bonding; however, she abraded my molar so deep she told me I might feel some sensitivity for the next few weeks because she got very close to the root. I don't understand why she had to abrade my tooth to that extent. My tooth was so sensitive and I could not chew on that side of my mouth for months. I religiously used salt water rinses to finally quell the sensitivity. Then the bonding fell out and I immediately set up an appointment because the sensitivity was not bearable this time. I saw Dr. Lawrence this go around. I expressed to her that I was unhappy that my molar had been ground down this much by Dr. Kratzer and then I had months of sensitivity after Dr. Kratzer's initial work. Dr. Lawrence was concerned about the prolonged sensitivity and that I may need a root canal (she is the self-styled "Root Canal Queen"). She said that grinding down the tooth was necessary to allow the bonding to hold better. I was so upset: so Dr. Krazter takes the more invasive approach and my tooth gets infected and potentially I need a root canal! Dr. Lawrence replaces the bonding on this molar (she didn't charge me) and on another tooth. The bonding on the molar fell off within 2 years and 6 months on the other tooth. I could feel and see the work of both dentists, the bonding was far from flawless. When you don't have a smooth edge where the natural tooth and the bonding meet, you're bound to have issues. It's constantly going to catch on food and floss and eventually fail. I very unhappy. I really regret going to this office. I think both dentists have good bedside manner and they seem knowledgeable. However, I don't think minimally invasive procedures where practiced and I their bonding work is subpar.

From my very first phone call to the office, I felt cared for. Kelly answered my call, listened to everything I was going through, and managed to get me in for an emergency appointment within a few hours!!! Dr. McKenna was absolutely wonderful. He truly listened, explained every step clearly, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. His assistant (I feel so awful forgetting her name!) was just as amazing. So kind, gentle, and reassuring. You can really tell how well the whole team works together. Before starting the root canal treatment, Dr. McKenna explained every step and made sure I was fully numb, something my last dentist didn't even bother with, even though my filling was deep. Dr. McKenna fixed the poor filling from that previous dental office and discovered bacteria under the tooth that was causing my pain. My previous dentist had insisted nothing was wrong and left me to deal with on and off pain and no antibiotics for months!! I then went to another practice, as the pain became excruciating, same thing and said I had to wait at least until the end of the week until next months schedule opens for root canals. However, Dr. McKenna found the real issue right away and treated it properly. While explaining the X-rays and what they show. I'm still healing, but I already feel so much better and finally heard. I can't thank Dr. McKenna and his team enough. They've earned a new lifelong patient! That's where everything started to go downhill. It took until January 19th just to get in for the first half of my cleaning--yes, they only clean one half of your mouth at a time. The hygenist did a good job. Then it took until March 24th to schedule the second half. When I showed up on time for that appointment, I was told my X-rays had expired and I would need a new set for insurance reimbursement. Completely unacceptable. On top of that, my appointments were canceled multiple times, and I kept getting strung along with delays. At one point, they even tried to blame me for cancellations that were clearly on their end. Now, nearly six months later, I still haven't received any actual dental treatment, and I'm being told I may need another round of X-rays. Meanwhile, my dental health has only gotten worse. If you're okay with endless delays, rude communication, and zero accountability, this might be the place for you. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.
