It had been years since that leg and hip had worked well so the muscles were weak and I was in quite a bit of pain. The hip replacement - hardware, etc. - were doing well but the muscles, not so much. I am so glad I found Benchmark in West Linn! Ryan is very knowledgeable and knew exactly what this older woman needed to get back to walking pain-free. In addition, under his direction, I've gained flexibility, strength and more endurance through his exercises. I'm simply amazed at how quickly my body has responded with his expertise and encouragement. Jenna at the front desk is charming and helpful; when I changed insurance companies and couldn't figure out the website to see if Benchmark was covered by the new insurance, she stepped right in and figured it out. Grateful for her cheerful smile every time I - or anyone else - show up for an appointment. Right now, there are a couple of students doing their hands-on training, overseen by Ryan, and theyll do great with Ryan as a mentor/trainer. Over 50% of our initial appointment was him asking about where I have lived then he asked if I wanted to know his history. He was dismissive of my multiple disabling conditions. In fact, he told me I needed to go back to work (an impossibility when I'm icing my back all day due to no Tramadol or any other chronic pain relief). For ten years, my life has been stolen and I've gained 80 pounds within that same time frame. His solution? Go get my stomach stapled. I could have made that appointment without him as we have a PPO. Also, I don't want that surgery especially when there is a solution I previously had that worked. When, out of politeness, asked if he could be the PCP for my family, he scoffed stating he was getting 800 new patients due to someone leaving. When asked if there was a waiting list, his exact words were "well, if you wait long enough, I'll have more openings" referring to his patients dying off. My husband and I gasped.

Plus, she really knows what to do to help me with my insurance coverage. 4th: This is the only place I can receive a blood draw with one try. Many places need to have multiple people stick me two times each to get what they need out of me. When Samantha, with the assistance of Abby, are on the case, the experience is as perfect as can be. Basically you are asked to arrive 1/2 hour early, and if you are not 15 minutes early your appointment can be cancelled even if you're technically on time. This policy guarantees patient frustration, especially in cases where the patient has difficulty getting to the appointment or has an urgent medical need. It's also avoidable-would it be so hard to just say your appointment is 15 minutes earlier? Ex: "Your appointment is at 1:45, you will start with paperwork and THEN you will see the doctor." The doctor doesn't plan to come into the room until 2pm, but the patient doesn't care about that. Face it: if you make being early mandatory, you have changed the appointment time.
