I'm staying at the Michael's House TLC (as they call it) currently after completing their inpatient…read more rehab down the street. First of all to get here I had to deal with Catherine (the orgs financial person) which was not cool. The place makes tens of thousands off of your insurance for the IOP/treatment side of things, yet I had to haggle with this broad over the rent to stay here. It was seriously like buying a used Hyundai in the hood. I had 800 bucks left to my name and had to work them down from 1200/month to 600/month and I knew there were people staying for as low as 150. After we agreed on price, she found out I had more money when I tried to loan another patient money and says that "any money you have left should be going to US!" The front office are a bunch money grubbing slimebags. Period. But upon arriving the staff is very cool, and the facility is wonderful. The pool is great and the rooms are neat an clean. No workout facility of any sort either here or at the inpatient which is nonsense and they advertise it online. The programming at inpatient was OK but too much of it. The IOP programming is completely worthless so you have to get it from outside meetings if you really want to work on yourself. Don't let them lie to you about the food at IOP. The inpatient food was the BEST institutional food I've ever had- worthy of a 4 star hotel. They claim they give you 2 meals a day at outpatient but its totally different food. Snacks mostly. Residents are currently dealing with staff letting a resident stay here who is stealing laptops from other residents and using drugs and there's always some Real World drama like that occurring but- that's rehab. Recommend but ask to deal with someone other than Catherine when handling anything financial. Good luck to you!

Horrible! This was the worst choice I made during my recovery…read more I was robbed during my stay by another patient. My entire wallet, glasses, IPhone were stolen. Sally the CEO, along with the manager, did nothing. I was then harassed by same patient. During my stay there were multiple relapses, one a week over a three month stay. I do have to give a 5 star rating to a couple of residential counselors, they really were supportive and all in recovery. Unfortunately, they had to follow the "rules". These rules were always based on whether the patient had a place to live and if they were still in the outpatient program. If they met these two, they were allowed to stay, even if they relapsed. If you are considering Michael s House TLC, please speak with previous patients who are stillsober. Leon R.

Sent him a message - still no response. Called him again 2 hours later, and because my phone number was showing my company name, he did not want to pick up. He claimed they had "server issues", so he could not connect to the video conference. I asked why he just didn't call me at 11.00 and he said "You know what, let's cancel this. Take care", and hung up on me. Never have I dealt with such an unprofessional individual. Perhaps he should check on his own mental health before trying to help others...?

He then proceeded to cancel my appointment 2 hours prior to the appointment time because I had not seen his previous emails (which mention his name nowhere in the email address of subject line and looked like spam.) His emails to me were dismissive and told me to find another Doctor even as I sincerely apologized for missing the emails and said I'd be happy to upload what he needed right away and very much wanted to keep the appointment I'd waited weeks for. I was seeing him specifically about ADHD (so you'd think he would understand the struggles there.) I am also diagnosed with depression and found myself in tears following his dismissal. I'd say my interactions with him were something I wouldn't wish on another person and extremely inconsiderate of someone who is in a field that is meant to assist people with their mental health.

Start to finish, this facility has been nothing but lies. My girlfriend came to this facility for…read moremental safety and to get better, but there was nothing but lies and instability. Upon arrival there wasn't a room was completely filthy. Bathroom was disgusting, sheets were used. They also knew her dietary restrictions a week in advance, which her dietary needs weren't meet. Communication between administration and her insurance was also lost. A week in advance administration told her that her insurance was accepted and after 9 days in her stay, she was told her insurance was denied and that the insurance request wasn't even RECEIVED until 4 days in her stay... Around the 9/10 day mark, she was threatened by a male resident aide by the name of Bobby. He then tried to justify the words "you don't know where I'm from, I'm from Compton, you're lucky I can't put hands on you like I can at the other facilities" like that isn't a threat.... 12 day mark, she was told he wouldn't be working at the facility anymore, and while I came to her aide because of a medical emergency, he's working there like nothing was done about his threat. Instead told her he wouldn't be there so she would just feel better. I spoke with him outside about his threat towards her, at a distance. This conversation didn't go any further than some raised voices, and the next morning she was told to pack her bags and leave because i "tried to fight an employee" and that they "have a witness". There's cameras all over the places but when told to show them the footage, they can't because they don't even record anything which is a HUGE liability on their end. Of course they don't want to own up to any of that so they just tossed her to the side of the road like she didn't matter. This place isn't in the business for clients to get better, but are in it for insurance money, and when they don't get it, they'll use any excuse to get rid of you. There's tons more dirt on this place and it'll catch up to them very soon. Until then, do not spend your money, mental health, or your time here.

I sit here now writing this review in tears with gratitude to The Ken Seeley Mental Wellness…read moreprogram. (Long scary story made short) My Best friend began to hear voices, which started off just being annoying for him. Over the next two months he moved into experiencing extreme psychosis. With the help of friends and family we tried getting help, from hospitals, Therapist, emergency call centers but all were dead ends. I was losing my friend to an enemy I couldn't fight. It got so bad that he told me suicide was an option. I had to call the police to get help. This is when the Angels started appearing. The officers that came compassionate empathetic and very professional. As my friend was being taken away I spoke with another friend and we talked about a new Mental wellness program in the desert run by the Ken Seeley community. We reached out to their Admissions person Rory S. Who listened to our story and journey of the last two months. Rory jumped in, taking all the information he needed. Within an hour's time Rory called back and walked us through what would happen from here forward. From stabilization to intake to length of possible stay. I got a call from my friends mother, who said Eric from Ken Seeley reached out to her. I could hear the relief in her voice. During my friends stay at the Ken Seeley Mental Wellness program I was able to check in with him. The staff was absolutely amazing in professionalism, compassion, empathy and with holding boundaries. Two weeks in, he was working hard on his symptoms and developing strategies and coping skills with a therapist and psychiatrist. Talking to him the last week he sounded like my Best friend again. The day before he discharged we had a group session which laid out the aftercare plan for him and us. His therapist Margo M. answered all my laundry list of questions of the who, what, when and why. She gave us enough information and support that I am sitting here still crying. Ken Seeley Mental Wellness program took a scary situation and brought light, support and assistance to guide us and help bring peace not only to my friend, but all of us involved. Thank you Rory, Ken, Eric, Margo and the staff at The Mental Wellness program.

The hospital psychiatrists were going to send me home without treatment, and he fought and worked it out to give me a small dose of ketamine in the ER to help my suicidal ideations. I was in the middle of a chaotic ER, but he did everything he could to make the experience calming--he gave me his phone with a soothing playlist, a blackout mask, and talked me through some breathing exercises. The dose of ketamine really helped me get through that day, and I always remembered Dr. Ko from that day. Fast forward a few years, and I discovered he had opened Reset Ketamine near me. Recently, I went to Dr. Ko for Stellate-Ganglion Blocks (SGBs), and I found the experience to be very comforting. Though this is a procedure requiring medical sanitization and procedure, Dr. Ko makes the clinic as Zen as possible. Everyone involved in the procedure sets an intention, including the patient, and he talks you through every part of it. Dr. Ko is just a kind, caring, honest and knowledgeable physician, and his staff is the same way. I would not ever hesitate to recommend Reset Ketamine if you are looking for science-backed alternatives for your mental health care.
