    Graduate!

Having completed puppy class (what an amazing experience!), we continued on to basic obedience! Basic obedience is an outdoor class consisting of further reinforcing the basics from puppy class, while also introducing variables you may run into outside of the classroom. Kat and Kelsey do an amazing job ensuring each dog and owner get the proper attention each class. I was also very impressed with how well they were able to keep control of the class in an environment that can be so unpredictable! Along with this one hour weekly class, both Kat and Kelsey were more than happy to answer any questions I had during the rest of the week, whether it be obedience related or product suggestions! Overall we had another great experience with Karma Dog Training, and I plan to further Stella's education with more advanced training courses! I definitely recommend both puppy class and basic obedience, but if you missed the window for puppy class this is still an invaluable course for any dog! We had a lot of fun and love Karma!

Day #1 of Puppy Kindergarten at Hazeltine park in Sherman Oaks, and Rob made the class work hard & have fun. He did a great job of explaining each of the commands and behavior modifications covered in the first class, patiently demonstrated them, and took the time to visit each dog and work with their human. We are looking forward to doing the homework, applying what we learned, and returning next Sunday to learn more. Thank you Karma & Rob for a successful beginning.

Kat and Kelsey did a great job with my dog Dixie. I enrolled my baby in the Puppy Kindergarten and Socialization Class mainly to socialize her. The class itself had good balance of play time for socialization and training. Kat and Kelsey are both very friendly and helpful. I took advantage of their knowledge and asked a ton of questions. They were also patient with Dixie because at first she was shy and scared of the other dogs following a couple bad encounters with larger dogs elsewhere. Kat and Kelsey would put up a small puppy gate to separate her during her first and second classes. The gate would be up during socializing and back down during lessons. They would repeat the step a couple times each class because the class consisted on socialization to start, lesson, then socialization again, then lesson, back to play and ended with some down time . This was to allow Dixie to be approached by the dogs without her feeling threatened. I won't go into too much detail, but it definitely helped! By the third class Dixie was playing and running with all of the other dogs. I also saw another dog who came in and incessantly barked at all the other dogs for the entirety of 2 courses during play time. Thanks to Kat and Kelsey's knowledge, their guidance and puppy's parents' discipline to listen to the trainers...by the 3rd class that puppy stopped barking. That puppy was also interested in interacting with the dogs and by the 4th class was playing with all the dogs. I would recommend them for this class. We took the course the first quarter of 2019 at the location below. 8943 Oso Ave. Unit A Chatsworth, CA 91311

We found Karma Dog Training on Yelp. We started our Aussie Shepard puppy at eight weeks old with virtual training sessions.Tioga is rapidly progressing with positive results. She loves to learn new commands. Karma's method of positive training is effective and we are pleased with the results. Thanks to Tawni and Emily!

    Oscar loves Kat and Kelsey!

If you're looking to socialize your puppy in a fun, upbeat, and nurturing, enviornment, then you should check out Karma Dog Training. We took our high energy Golden Doodle (Oscar) there for the Puppy Kindergarten, and he absolutely loved it. Kat and Kelsey make puppy kindergarten fun for you and your dog. They get to play and learn but in a no pressure, very easy and natural way. Kat and Kelsey truly care about your dog and make sure all the puppies are having fun, but are not being overly aggressive with each other. It's really a nice opportunity to let your pup get to know other dogs, other people, and also learn commands. Highly recommend.

I've had my dog, Koda (pictures bellow), enrolled in the puppy kindergarten class for three weeks now and I have seen a rapid improvement in Koda's ability to listen to me and tons growth in effective communication between us. And it's only been Three Weeks!!!! I couldn't recommend this class more! The instructors Emily and Tawani have done a great job teaching these virtual classes. They are so understanding of the situation and you can tell that they love what they do. If you have a puppy and are looking for a trainer, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Karma Dog training.

Puppy Kindergarten with Kat and Kelsey was great for my new puppy! She got 8 classes that were each split into socialization/play time (perfect for learning how to interact with other dogs) and a lecture and demonstration portion where we learned a new command. Kat and Kelsey were both incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and willing to answer any questions I had. I can't recommend this program enough!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this program, more specifically our trainer!!!! We got a puppy and while she is an amazing dog, we really needed help with training. We went to another place, and I hated it. Waste of money. Then we came to Karma, best decision we made. The first class is free just to feel it out, and there was an AMAZING trainer named Kathryn. Where do I begin with Kathryn... She is so incredibly sweet, so incredibly talented, and trustworthy. We literally gave her keys to our house, and never thought twice. She was the best thing we could have ever done for Bella (our puppy). We ended up getting the reverse boarding (where the trainer comes to your house and trains the dog for 6 hours), with the 6 week puppy course. Best decision! Kathryn came to our home and would work on things with Bella that she really needed help with. After 7 days, I feel like I have a completely different dog. She isn't afraid and anxious, she has become such an obedient dog that is truly calm and happy. Even my family said after the dog is an angel due to the training. Kathryn would work with Bella while we were at work, she would work with us when we were home and able to be with the dog, and would take her all over! Since we live in an apartment she would take her outside and socialize her, to a local park to decrease her anxiety with people and dogs, to the mall, all over!! I'm so incredibly thankful for everything Kathryn did for us!! Bella is not only a part of our family, but thanks to Kathryn, also much more patient, calm, and attentive. We are so lucky to have had Kathryn, I cannot say it enough. The doggy classes are also amazing. They really help with socializing our dog, and making sure it's a positive experience. The trainers (I believe there is always three people, Kathryn is one of them) are helpful in giving us guidelines and working through 6 weeks of fun classes. I highly recommend them for all puppies!!! Oh, one last thing, Bella literally loved Kathryn so much, every time Kathryn would leave she would sit by the door and cry, and every time Kathryn would arrive she was the happiest dog ever. Not only did we love working with her, Bella loved her so much!!! Thank you dog karma for having such an amazing trainer, and also just a good person as your staff!

Simba and Nala at 8n weeks

Tawni and Emily are a pleasure to work with. They are committed, experienced and generous in their guidance. My pups Simba and Nala look forward to their continued collaboration, and highly recommend them. Thank you Tawni and Emily for your dedication, and the joy and kindness you share with both pups and owners!

When our new puppy arrived we started with a private session with Anastasia Lavian. She was amazing she had a bag of surprises and taught us so much in just one session. How to understand our dog, how to communicate with her, to teach her how to behave in the kindest way. I definitely think having her come that first week Lola arrived made a huge difference getting us and Lola adjusted to each other. We continued on with the puppy kindergarten which was also awesome. Our puppy is well socialized and has basic commands down. Kat was a great instructor (Chatsworth loc) as well!

Kat and Kelsey are amazing! My pup is ready to take on the world!

Kelsey and Kat are AMAZING! Great people and experts at what they do! My pup learned so much on top of socializing with other pups he can Sit, Stay, Lay down, and is so great on the leash now. Definitely a must for any puppy and I highly recommend going to Kat and Kelsey!!! We will be back for obedience training soon!

While I do appreciate the fact that Alaina offered to refund her fee, I was trying to be nice and thought that she had given us her time, etc. However, after some time away from the situation and after attending MUCH cheaper / MORE helpful classes at our local PetCo, I now know that we didn't get really anything out of the two partial days she spent with us. Lesson learned. First example, she contradicted herself on more than one occasion confusing us and maybe even herself. We rescued a puppy from a shelter, a puppy that had been in quarantine and had come from another high kill shelter. She told us to get over where the puppy came from because the puppy got over it already...however she sites Pavlov and how dogs learn from positive reinforcement but how can they only learn from the positive, don't they also learn from the negative?? She admitted that she misspoke and didn't mean to. She mentioned that during our meetings, she has limited time so she sometimes rushes through things. Not good. Second example, on to our first actual meeting (the consultation), she spent AT LEAST 1/2 of ours telling us about how she had clients that lived in $10 million dollar homes and other similar comments, as if this would impress us, really?? It felt a little slimly, used car salesperson anyone?? She did not give us the full two hours 'we didn't need it'. Third example, she wanted to take my dog for the day, I do not know where and was very confused because she hadn't made this clear to me. She said she didn't have enough time during our training sessions to really work with the dog. For whatever reason, this made me very uncomfortable. How are we going to work with our dog if we are not there?? I think she was probably going to take the dog to her trainer because she was more than a little perplexed by our crazy puppy. * Her walking technic would have killed the dog if we had implemented it. She wanted us to pivot the other way when she pulled. This would have never worked with our dog. * Walking should be fun, not THAT MUCH work for the dog or us! * The 'bonk' she wanted us to smack the puppy with pissed the dog off to no end, created more anxiety in all of us and the dog. * There is not a one size fits all for training any dog. * She sites 'bad dogs' for barking at her dogs while walking or standing in front of them. These 'bad dogs' are on their property, behind a gate. Why are they bad?? Aren't dogs supposed to bark at times? My dog, without her help, walks by similar barking dogs every day, looks at them and keeps walking. * We felt that she was always watching the clock, not really giving us the full hour training we expected. Live and learn. I have learned, love our local PetCo, Bridgitte gets our crazy dog and loves her.

I also left a handwritten note by the glasses of Water saying please do two fresh glasses each time of fridge water. I would not have stayed an extra day if I ever thought for a second the note wouldn't have been read or the notes online that say use two fresh glasses that are in a pile of fresh clean glasses right by the fridge. even if I did not leave the note, why would anyone ever think cats would drink slimy bacteria infested water they would choose toilet water over a dirty bowl of water. From the moment I met her, I could tell this wasn't just a business--it is truly her passion. She has such a kind heart, an incredible work ethic, and a genuine love for animals that you can feel immediately. My standard poodle, Chewy, goes to daycare with Ally , and when we went to Hawaii for nine days, I never once worried about him. Instead of being kept in kennels, the dogs get to live together in a comfortable home environment. They can relax on dog beds, sleep on furniture, play together, and simply be dogs. It's such a refreshing and loving alternative to traditional boarding. One thing that meant the world to me was how often Ally kept me updated. Every morning and every evening she sent me photos and updates of Chewy having fun, relaxing, and making friends. Seeing those pictures while I was away gave me complete peace of mind and allowed me to truly enjoy my vacation, knowing he was happy, safe, and loved. I also love seeing how much thought she puts into making the dogs' days special. During the hot weather, she even sets up fun water play for them, and it's obvious from every picture that the dogs are having the time of their lives. Although I've only known Ally for a short time, I genuinely admire her. She is young, hardworking, compassionate, and has built something truly special. It's rare to find someone who cares this deeply about every dog in her care. Chewy absolutely loves going there, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to leave him with Allie again. I recommend Ally's Boarding & Daycare wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a safe, loving, and happy place for their dog. Your pup will be treated like family, and that's something you simply can't put a price on. Thank you, Ally for taking such incredible care of Chewy. We are so grateful to have found you!

Lately, I've seen so many heartbreaking stories about doggy daycares: dogs getting hurt, neglected, escaping, or simply not being treated with the love they deserve. Every time I read one, my first thought is the same: thank God Nova has Ally and Travis. Nova has been coming here since he was just 6 months old. He's now about to turn 5, which means they've been part of nearly his entire life. They've watched him grow from a timid, reactive puppy into the confident, happy dog he is today. They know his quirks, his routines, what makes him nervous, what makes him excited, and they have loved every version of him along the way. As dog owners, we all know there are very few people we'd trust with our entire heart. That's what our dogs are. They're not just pets, they're family. And somehow Ally and Travis have earned a level of trust that I didn't even know was possible. I've left Nova with them for the longest periods I've ever left him with anyone, and I've never once laid awake wondering if he was okay. There has never been a moment where I questioned whether he was safe, loved, exercised, or cared for. That kind of peace is priceless, and if you're a dog parent, you know exactly what I mean. What means the most to me is that Nova makes the choice himself every single time. The second he realizes where we're going, he's beside himself with excitement. If he doesn't get to see Ally or Travis, he cries. When he does, he runs to them without looking back. As someone whose dog was once fearful of people, seeing him love someone that deeply tells me everything I need to know. Dogs don't fake trust. They don't pretend to feel safe. They either do, or they don't. Nova has never questioned whether Ally and Travis are his people. Over the years, they've been there through my work schedule, my vacations, family emergencies, and every moment in between. They have given me something I can never truly repay: the ability to go through life knowing that the biggest piece of my heart is safe. That feeling is something every dog parent hopes to find, and so few actually do. Even if life takes me somewhere else one day, if I'm ever back in town and need someone to watch Nova, there is no question where he's going. I would drive hours just to leave him with Ally and Travis because trust like this isn't replaceable. They're not just our daycare: they're part of Nova's family. If you're scrolling through reviews wondering whether this is the right place for your dog, I hope this helps. Five years later, after hundreds of drop-offs and pickups, I can say with complete confidence that choosing Ally and Travis was one of the best decisions I've ever made for Nova. They have loved him like he was their own, and I will spend the rest of his life being grateful for that.
