I guess it's time for another update because somehow every year I become even more grateful for Ally and Travis. Lately, I've seen so many heartbreaking stories about doggy daycares: dogs getting hurt, neglected, escaping, or simply not being treated with the love they deserve. Every time I read one, my first thought is the same: thank God Nova has Ally and Travis. Nova has been coming here since he was just 6 months old. He's now about to turn 5, which means they've been part of nearly his entire life. They've watched him grow from a timid, reactive puppy into the confident, happy dog he is today. They know his quirks, his routines, what makes him nervous, what makes him excited, and they have loved every version of him along the way. As dog owners, we all know there are very few people we'd trust with our entire heart. That's what our dogs are. They're not just pets, they're family. And somehow Ally and Travis have earned a level of trust that I didn't even know was possible. I've left Nova with them for the longest periods I've ever left him with anyone, and I've never once laid awake wondering if he was okay. There has never been a moment where I questioned whether he was safe, loved, exercised, or cared for. That kind of peace is priceless, and if you're a dog parent, you know exactly what I mean. What means the most to me is that Nova makes the choice himself every single time. The second he realizes where we're going, he's beside himself with excitement. If he doesn't get to see Ally or Travis, he cries. When he does, he runs to them without looking back. As someone whose dog was once fearful of people, seeing him love someone that deeply tells me everything I need to know. Dogs don't fake trust. They don't pretend to feel safe. They either do, or they don't. Nova has never questioned whether Ally and Travis are his people. Over the years, they've been there through my work schedule, my vacations, family emergencies, and every moment in between. They have given me something I can never truly repay: the ability to go through life knowing that the biggest piece of my heart is safe. That feeling is something every dog parent hopes to find, and so few actually do. Even if life takes me somewhere else one day, if I'm ever back in town and need someone to watch Nova, there is no question where he's going. I would drive hours just to leave him with Ally and Travis because trust like this isn't replaceable. They're not just our daycare: they're part of Nova's family. Ever since I moved to the valley, I have been using Ally's services! I love how she is different than a traditional kennel as the dogs have plenty of space to play and areas of comfort for dogs to freely roam. She also sends daily pictures which is great to see. I wish I could give Ally & Travis a 100 star review. I found Ally on yelp 3 years ago when I got my chihuahua mix puppy Lenny. At the time he was 2 lbs and no businesses would provide him with day care because it was too risky. I found Ally and saw her amazing reviews especially with small dogs. She has become a second mom to Lenny when I am away. I have boarded Lenny with her up to 2 weeks and although it's hard leaving your baby, she makes it as comfortable as she can. My babies have been going to Ally for a few years now and I know they're always safe and happy there. Ally is super flexible, has amazing communication, and cares for your babies as if they were her own. We have a 19 year old boy (he's arthritic and moves slow) and 3 year old girl (she's 4 lbs and thinks she's a bulldog) and she's always so attentive to our little old man and tiny firecracker. I picked Allyson's profile because I was immediately attracted to the fact that she likes to take her pups on adventures and get them out of the house/yard. My first time leaving Ophelia with Allyson was for a week, while I was getting married, and I was a nervous wreck! It was my first time away from my new pup (5 months old) and I knew I wasn't going to handle it well. However Allyson made the time so much more manageable with all her pictures and videos. I was so deeply thankful of Allyson's services then. Since then, I've had Ophelia stay with Allyson for boarding and daycare time to time. I kid you not, when I drive around the corner to Allyson's block (still a ways away), Ophelia is already whining and barking because she is so excited to see Allyson! When I drop her off, she doesn't even take a second glance back to say goodbye to me. Dang Ophelia, can you just give mom a kiss goodbye before you go off?! ..... Allyson is so extremely accommodating as well and will work with you on timing (she doesn't nickle and dime you on your minutes) and in some cases will also pick-up and drop off (if you're close to where she is taking the pup on an adventure). She is ALWAYS so cheery and has excellent customer service. Allyson takes on a handful of dogs during the day for daycare and such, but for boarding, I believe she only takes 1 or 2 dogs to provide peace and space in her home for the doggos (she also has 2 small dogs). She only takes well behaved doggos so I have never been nervous that Ophelia might not get along with any of the other dogs she might encounter there. She has a crate you can use, but Ophelia likes to sleep with Allyson on the bed. :P Allyson is now a part of our extended family and we are so so so so grateful that we have found her. read more
