I went here once while searching for a new threading salon and I opted for the eyebrown tint and thread. I really liked the threading for my brows! The beautician who worked on my brows was kind enough to ask if it was my first time getting my brows tinted, and worked with me accordingly regarding the shades based on how long I keep on a henna tint. It honestly lasted about 2 weeks max. Although, I may continue to do my own eyebrow tinting from home moving forwards. Quite a drive out, but I enjoyed my experience and the pricing here. read more

Been coming here for years, today I went in at 10:30AM and a new lady was there, she completely butchered my eyebrows and I was very unhappy with my results, she also cut me and said I just needed Aloe, this has never happened before. It's reasonably priced, they thread the heck out of my eyebrows!!! It's as if Karma blessed me with a new pair of eyebrows. This was my first time ever doing this, normally mom tweezes the crap out of me and trust me it's a lot more painful and takes about 10/15min of feeling the pain of each individual hair as it's plucked away! I enjoy the threading. They have a very light touch. I get brow and lip done. Brow barely even hurts. Lip kills me every time but I don't think that will be changed lol. Took one star because I've had better shaping before. But my brows do alright with their natural shape. This is my 2nd time coming to Karma Eyebrow.. My 1st was prior to Covid, almost a year ago and I believe the owner did my threading & brow tint. Now on this visit, you have to call while at the door to be let in. This location is in a suite of other hair & makeup services. Only one person allowed in their suite at a time. I called and the owner answered but was not at the physical location so she advised me she would call to tell the threader I was outside. When she came to get me, I met Amrita. I asked her for Brow tint only, no threading because they're already thin and were recently groomed. I also let her know I've only come 1 time prior. She proceeds to do my brows and we talked as women do, of getting to know their potential client. Once she said done, she only instructed me to leave on the henna ink for the rest of the day due to Covid, customers cannot stay in the suite like prior of waiting 20 mins to dry. I said to her 'Oh my this is too dark to leave on all day' and she said to let them dry for a few then. Because another customer was waiting in the lobby (which they are not to do--HUGE sign outside the door says to wait outside then call only to be let in). I said I'll wait in the car for 15 mins then will come back in so she could finish. She said ok and to put on NO AC while on the car waiting. I then paid her $27 which was really high with barely no threading AND gave her a $6 tip because she was really nice & personable. After 16 mins pass, I call to be let back in and she wiped off only the access. Amrita showed me the end results in the mirror and said they will fade after a few days. Absolutely no other instructions were given to maintain the henna brow. I proceed to run one errand after then go home to shower and wallah, my brows were gone. $33 wasted down the drain. I was never told don't wet/wash your face or they will come off. This is why I had to give 2 stars. Once again, I had only been here once so I did not remember the henna brow after care process. Really disappointing because she knew I was flying out of town less then 24 hours later so it's not like I could come back to get them redone after my evening shower. If I give them another shot, I would love to be able update this review to 5 stars like others have. read more

Bimala listened to me when I said I wanted to keep my brows thick - pencil thin brows aren't my thing! She even added a small arch that complements my face. I appreciate her attention to detail. Usually, when you try someone new and you see the final result, you may regret it; but, with Bimala, I was thoroughly pleased and have decided to give her another go when I need my eyebrows threaded again. My only gripe is that she doesn't take appointments; so, imagine being 5th in queue waiting for your turn...over an hour. We were looking for a good eyebrow threading place in Bowie and we definitely found one! The location is within a salon plaza, which I didn't notice beforehand but the space was clean and professional. My sister and I both got our brows threaded and the staff were polite, professional and thorough. They made sure to ask about the shape we wanted and ensured we were happy with their work. Another plus is that it was barely painful at all! Personally I've had some painful threading experiences and they did an excellent job. Again, very professional and well done. TIP: if your eyebrows are messed up, stick with one threader for a period of 4-6 months and you'll see a more even shape, especially with Bimala! I came to her with pencil thin and uneven eyebrows from being over waxed. You can't keep jumping from threader to threader and expect a miracle. The hair needs time to grow out and be reshaped over and over to get the desired look. Bimala will do this for you and she's so good at it! Wonderful place for threading and henna. While I've never personally gotten henna, I've watched it be done on several patrons. All patrons I've spoken with who have had it done before say they enjoy it and keep coming back for more. Bimala is kind and gentle with threading. She makes the process enjoyable and is very swift yet thorough. My hair doesn't grow back as fast as others but I come every other month. Since I've started coming to Bimala, I haven't gone to anyone else. If I have to move, I'll be sad knowing how hard it is to find someone as great as her. The shop is very clean and always smells great. I never worry about bacteria, mold or other issues. One year update: Bimala is still my favorite. Her shop is expanding and I love seeing her grow! She's hired some help so wait times slowed for awhile but it all depends on the day because it seems she's getting more customers. Ladies, there's a wait because she's worth it! I still recommend her and trust me when I say I have the most sensitive skin. I have been coming here for over 1 year, and I am usually very satisfied, but today I am very disappointed and frustrated. I had been growing my eyebrows for two months by applying castor oil morning and night. I contacted someone to express my dissatisfaction and I was told that my eyebrows were fine after they reviewed the picture I sent them. Excuse me, but I should be the one making that decision, it is my body after all. She also requested that I go back on Sunday for a correction. In order to correct it she would have to make the thicker eyebrow as thin as the other, which is not what I want. And I am leaving for Vacations on Sunday. So now I will have to wait another 2-3 month to let it grow again. Urg The one start is simply because the poor lady who did my eyebrow apologized profusely. First time getting threaded and tinted. $27 before tip and I like them. The only thing I'd say if maybe if they ask what color for the tint. They were a little too dark for my liking but I got some make up remover and wiped and wiped and wiped and got some of it off. To have it look more natural. Even though my last experience with the miscommunication wasn't good, I'm updating my review because they did a great job on my brows. Idk the lady's name but she was very helpful with trying to fix my left brow which was curved vs the right which is the perfect shape. I do have to let me left brow frown out in order for the shape to get back right. The place was clean. I will be returning. My only gripe is getting in. These girls are AMAZING! I used to drive from Bowie to Gaithersburg just to get my eyebrows done. That's how serious I am about service. Thanks to these two young women, I no longer have to make that drive. I've had henna on my brows before and they were too dark, I'm very light skinned. For those of you women that are light like me, you know what I'm talking about. Too dark brows drown us out. But Bimala (her chair is closest to the wall) made sure that wasn't the case. I also have somewhat thin eyebrows due to getting them waxed and plucked in the past as well as aging gracefully. She ensured that my brows complimented my face and the color complimented my skin tone. They are both very fairly quiet women, but don't think that they are being rude. This used to be my favorite eyebrow threading salon. However, they do not honor appointments. My mother and I drove in from DC for our appointment, which was close to their closing time. The threader was busy with a client and had two people in her suite waiting to be serviced as well as two people in line waiting ahead of us. Honestly, I do not know whether these people had appointments or were walk-ins but I do know that she acknowledged us and never told my mother and I to leave. We waited patiently for her to get to us. Long story short, once she finished the two people who were in her suite waiting, she told those of us waiting outside that she did not have time to service us that day. WHAT?! After making an appointment, fighting DC traffic to make it to Lanham on-time for said appointment and waiting for her to finish other clients we are turned away! Never again. Sad to have to find a new threading but looking forward to finding a salon who values customers. read more

Came here after finding them on Instagram. They seemed to have the marketing part with enough photos to move me to drive from silver spring to Annapolis road lol. Plenty of parking, easy to find.It was quiet, with only the tv playing. I came to get my eyebrows threaded, tinted and some henna on my hand. She got right to work.... she seemed comfortable with what I was asking. I think she could sense my hesitation and asked me was it my first time ... it was .. she was polite and confident in her work.... didn't talk much (which was fine with me). She explained to me the henna process and completed my henna. I was overall very pleased. The prices were posted and I felt like a got a great deal for the services. I will say the henna on my brows is darker than I thought. Don't plan anything for the rest of the day. It needs time to lighten. Not her fault , and she did explain that to me but just an FYI to anyone reading this review. My brow shape is perfect ! The henna on my hands turned out lovely as well. I will be returning again !
