So I was out and just decided to look on Yelp and this shop came up. I called and was able to get in the next day for a structured nail set on my natural nails and a pedicure. What I really like was that she does everything you can think of so if you want the gel x she does, acrylic she does that, and she goes the structured gel which is what I got. I am trying to grow my nails back out again and this works so well and I can't wait to see my nails grow. The pedicure was so great and the manicure she did very well especially with the cuticle work. I've never had anyone do the cuticles and nail foundation work as well as she did. As the pictures show I I got French on nails and feet. The only thing I would say that maybe it's just me and I use my hands too much, but the French didn't last long. It's already peeling...but other than that I love my nails. Can't wait until they get longer so I can get them almond shape!

At first, I honestly couldn't tell if it was a salon or what because I wasn't familiar with those buildings that have multiple mini businesses inside--but now? I'm completely sold. She was amazing. A M A Z I N G. The service was refreshing. She listened, asked questions, and made sure I was 100% happy with my length, shape, and style. I never felt rushed, and the conversation was great. She loves Christ, and the whole atmosphere was peaceful, chill, and welcoming. It's a smaller space since it's just her, but please don't let that stop you--it's not uncomfortable or crowded at all. Honestly, it makes the experience feel more personal. And bonus--there are so many other small businesses inside! While I was there, I got my son's haircut and my daughter's hair braided by neighboring businesses. Super convenient. I looove my nails and my toes! Definitely worth checking her out at least once--you'll probably keep going back. She takes appointments and walk-ins. Located in Capital Heights, at my first appointment, it was kind of hard to spot. Be aware of the parking, as some of the spots are assigned. Upon walking in, use the door on the right to access the nail salon. Appointments are made online, and Tenecia prefers that appointments are made at the half hour only. No problems there. Nice selection of colors to choose from, and the place is clean. I noticed that Tenecia takes the time to clean the bowl in between clients, which I totally dig. Also, she uses new new tools, like emery boards, and buffers for each person. My first appointment was a gel mani (with designs of course) and a pedi. Let me tell you, it was one of thee best pedicures that I have EVER had. She is absolutely excellent at what she does. I loved the gel manicure as well, because she actually does a manicure; you know soaks the hands, trims the cuticles, massage, and the like. She totally takes her time. My nails were shaped beautifully, and they actually grew! Woop! My only issue, is that my mani didn't last as long as I would have expected, but that could totally be me, because I'm super hard on my nails. Oh, another plus is that she totally accommodated me (in between clients) when I chipped my toe...see uber hard on my nails. No matter here though; because, my services were done well, and it is fairly priced. I will definitely be returning.

Since slots fill up fast, I went ahead and booked for the rest of the year. I needed to find somewhere that was preferably black owned since the other place I found took entirely too long. The parking is very limited and the lot is kind of tight. There's a parking lot on the other side, so I parked there and walked the short distance over. The inside of the shop isn't very big. However, it wasn't crowded, so I think it wouldn't be a problem. Also I wasn't positive as to how to book nail designs, but Tenicia explained with no problem and now I know what to do when scheduling. Even with this, she was still able to accommodate me within my appointment time. I really appreciated that. I read a few reviews about Tenicia's attitude, but I didn't have an issue. She wasn't talkative, but I wasn't really looking for that. She came off as professional and cordial and that was perfectly acceptable in my book. I really enjoyed the service and the work was awesome. The work was fast, but high quality.
