She was told that they didn't take her insurance and that it would be out of network. She agreed to pay the difference. Then strangely , she was told that despite her offer to pay directly the $500 consultation fee, Dr Carosella would not take her on as a patient as she probably would not be able to continue paying out of pocket for continuity of care. My friend assured her that she could afford this, but she was turned down nevertheless. She did not speak directly with the physician, so it is not clear if her staff took it upon themselves to deny her as a patient. But This does not reflect well on the practice and on Dr. Carosella.

Dr. Ades takes time to sit down with you to discuss what is bothering you and he will not prescribe medications or other medical tests unless necessary. He does not rush you out of his office and I find him very easy to talk to. One good thing about Dr. Ades is that from September to May he has Saturday hours that alternate ever other week, and that is a huge help since I cannot always take off during the week. One comment, I will make is about the "examination gowns" they do not look as if they are fresh out of the bag - honestly, with so many germs out there I would like to see a stack of gowns either in a clear plastic bag or have them pressed and neatly stacked on a shelf. That is the only comment that is not favorable, otherwise I would refer Dr. Ades to all my friends &a family.

The billing department run a scam between themselves and the doctors actual office , each one accusing the other of why a doctor won't see you due to a bill of $627.00 that ultimately is the fault of Westchester Health because it was submitted improperly and once the proper information is provided to the insurance company it will be covered . I have never experienced such total disregard for a patients health over money !!! Having been a patient for many years I can only imagine how much money they have collected from my scheduled appointments and now for the first time I have a balance of money owed and all they care about is how they are going to get there money rather than why the patient is calling about being told from his dentist that he should see a doctor about his high blood pressure . So we will pay the debt owed to Westchester Health because that's what upstanding citizens do and we will look for a health care provider that actually cares about the patient rather than the profit .
