What an incredible disappointment. I was fed up with the western medicine approach, so I was looking forward to seeing how Dr. Grant could combine eastern and western medicine to help me with some minor health issues. The initial appointment is $399, which the receptionist assured me was a decent deal, considering Dr. Grant tries to take her time with appointments so you don't have to keep coming back. They mailed me a packet of medical history paperwork so Dr. Grant could carefully review it before the appointment. I thought this was a great idea. Unfortunately, Dr. Grant couldn't be bothered to read it over before I came in. She had it with her, but instead of reading it, she had her own blank copy of the packet -- she just asked me the same questions and wrote down my answers. Huh. Before we even got to the physical exam, Dr. Grant complained about the asbestos in her office, told me to get rid of my cats, answered her cell phone several times, and took a bathroom break. She quickly did a physical exam, and even though nothing was blatantly wrong, she escorted me to a room lined with vitamins, minerals, etc. She haphazardly began to hand me bottle after bottle, telling me I need this vitamin for this complaint, this mineral for that complaint, drink this shake, etc., etc., etc. By the end of her rampage, I couldn't hold everything, and I started handing things back. She took me back to the reception desk to check out, and started writing a bunch of orders, including a colonoscopy, a mammogram, (I'm well under 30 years old), and an MRI -- all for a few minor complaints. "These are for maintenance!," she insisted. The whole time, Dr. Grant was speaking very loudly about these tests while we were well within earshot of the receptionist AND the friend who had come to have lunch with the receptionist. So much for doctor-patient confidentiality. The receptionist rung me up, and after the cost of the appointment and all the supplements I HAD to take, my total was well over $500. This was a total waste of time and money. Dr. Grant and her receptionist are very unprofessional, and have complete disregard for any sort of ethical standard. I would give minus stars if I could. The worst as Grant sees her patients as her personal cash cows and if she can profit from a patient's pain and desperation she will be right there to do so. She for the longest time was pushing her own supposed innovation, a horrid nasal infusion that she went to conferences making speeches about trying to convert the medical profession to support and give her credit for it. Bottomline, it didn't work and when patients told her that, she proceeded to argue and make excuses, i.e., "the barometric pressure is low", for it's lack of efficacy. But it doesn't stop there, she advertises herself as a dr. who cares and spends more than usual time with patients when in fact the only extra time she gave me was when she called me ravingly drunk--unsolicited by the way.! read more

I took my son to see Dr. Grant after he was exposed to toxic mold and had some serious symptoms, including neurological. Dr. Grant was the first doctor to have a clue what was going on with him, and provide appropriate treatment. Most doctors are not educated on the dangers of mold, nor do they know how to treat it. And we had been to several doctors already. In fact, we drove a long distance to get to her office. The consultation was a couple hours instead of the standard 10 minutes you get with the "traditional" doctor down the street. The initial visit was a bit more expensive, but well worth it. We did have to file with our health insurance, which covers 80%.
