Our family is eternally grateful for Dr. Karnam. We arrived at Dr. Karnam's office in dire need of a miracle. Our father was awaiting a kidney transplant but had become so ill and wasn't able to eat or drink for quite some time and had lost close to 90 lbs. A different gastroenterologist had put a feeding tube in dad, but we didn't have any luck with him. Dr. Karnam was so compassionate. He took the time to listen and understand our frustrations. Frankly, we had run out of hope. Dad asked, "can you help me?" He said, "I will make you better!" That one sentence gave dad hope and a will to keep fighting. Dr. Karnam also gave us his personal cell phone number to call at any time. At each appointment Dr. Karnam made us feel like dad was his only patient and like nothing else in the world mattered to him other than making him well. Dr. Karnam was able to find the causes of the stomach troubles and soon had dad back to eating normal food again and gaining weight back. Fast forward a few months. Dad has now received his kidney transplant. Guess who made a visit to see us in the hospital? Dr. Karnam! He will forever be a part of our family! Dr Karnam and his staff are always so amazing to help me when my health has been well and especially not well. He has literally saved my life, when i was down to 80ish pounds and another doctor said I was fine those other doctors did not listening to me something was wrong. Until I saw Dr Karnam, at the first visit he had a good idea what was wrong from my heath history, confirmed the diagnosis with a colonoscopy and had me on my way to controlling a flare Of UC. I've called in and they have had me in quickly for an office visit if I'm having a GI issue. . even with getting a colonoscopy getting done soon (like 2-3 days). Dr Karnam is a lifesaver. In my opinion, is the most competent Gastroenterologist around. Both of my elderly parents had significant GI issues. We had taken them to other physicians trying to get them the diagnosis and help that they needed. We found Dr Karnam and he was able to identify quickly and treat their issues with Crohns and Colon Cancer. He was definitely an answer to our families prayers and made their lives comfortable. I absolutely love Dr. Karnam, he was the only gastroenterologist that found my problem. My other doctor just said I was fat and I just needed to lose weight, I literally looked 6 months pregnant, and my stomach was solid not flabby like if it was " fat". I went to see Dr. Karnam and he diagnosed me with a parasite of the small intestine. He gave me the correct medication and all symptoms were gone.
