Strapped in, fast car, g-force, spin out. Go-karting is a great way of feeling as though you are a real great race car driver, only a s all track, with lots of safety elements and almost anyone can do it! The gepps cross track is a very good one, half indoor, half outdoor, and they let you goals fast and you want etc. It's a great place for groups, birthday parties, bucks shows and you can do a grand prix with multiple races and a winner with everyone's times at the end. It's a little pricey though, so I usually don't race for too long. read more

If like me, you're a city slicker, you'll love Kart-Mania. While country kids got to grow up doing hoon tricks on tractors in the paddock, the rest of us were confined to our bedrooms, reading cissy books about magic Faraway Trees. Hey, who am I kidding, I loved reading Enid Blyton. But nonetheless, the closest I'm gonna get to tractor tricks is Kart-Mania. It's sorta like dodgem cars, except a million, bajillion times better. The engine power is about the same as a dirt-bike - 200cc, so you can get a reasonable thrill out of it. But yes, as Paul and Laura said, it is quite pricey. $25 for ten minutes or $60 for half an hour. That said, ten minutes doesn't sound long, but it is still pretty exciting. The laser skirmish is as good as and cheaper than some of the other laser skirmish places I've been to in Adelaide. read more
The best of the kart tracks in Adelaide, this semi outdoor track is the correct choice of location for your days karting. The laps are long with a good mix of fast sweeping bends, long straights, chicanes, and tight technical driving. There are also a bunch of double karts for people to take small kids as passengers. The laser skirmish on site is also the best I've seen in Adelaide and is a heap of fun. You'll find yourself locked into mortal combat with an 11 year old who you'll want to fight in the carpark. Great spot. Best in town. And if you struggle to get used to your car as you drive home after an evening of hooning around, you won't be alone. read more

Kart Mania isn't just about go karting. Yes it's a great feeling speeding around that track feeling the air whip your face as you go by. Racing your friends or work colleagues is also a really fun experience. But Kart Mania isn't just about karting. Upstairs Kart Mania has a laser tag battlefield. Upon entering you're setup with your equipment, your outfit is clipped on and you wander out gun in hand to take out the enemy. It really is "edge of your seat" stuff. Yes the playing field isn't as big as I would personally like, but they make the most of the space they have on offer. You can hide behind walls, climb up on ledges, shoot through holes in the walls and snipe your enemies from a distance. I couldn't believe after running around shooting for 20 minutes how sweaty I was. Kart Mania is well known for its karts, and they are a lot of fun. If you want something a little different though, setup a laser tag event. Either way, this is a one stop shop of fun. It can be pricey though. That's really the only downside I can think of. read more
If you get wide eyed and exhilarated at the whiff of exhaust fumes, or love the sound of screeching tyres and low grumbling engines in the morning then Kart Mania Gepps Cross is for you. The way my guy friends spoke about this place, I envisioned a huge indoor and outdoor track, Clispal style. However, you know what boys are like with describing the size of things...yep it's smaller in real life. Size doesn't count though when you are hooning around on what feels like a boogie board with wheels and some metal bars overhead to protect you. Suddenly you are transported onto an F1 track, wind in your face, people bumping into you, spinning out on the track, ramming into the tire walls. It is a hoot! 10 minutes for $29 feels like a lifetime when you are on the road so don't feel like you need to upsize to the 30 minute session. Do make sure you also head upstairs for a bit of laser tag too. Run around a dark maze that looks like a ninja turtles underground nuclear active sewer and get a surprisingly good rush from shooting lasers at each other for 20 minutes or so. All up it is a great day out for a group and any adult/child-like birthday party! Note: This is a great place for 18+ and people who are comfortable on the road. Don't bring the kids along unless they are happy to just sit in a carriage next to you and drive around a track all arvo. read more
