This is the Chelsea Senior Commons (Sugar Grove, IL) property manager's car, illegally parked in the gore markings between the already inadequate number of accessible handicap parking spaces in Chelsea's parking lot. If it weren't parked here, it would likely be taking up one of the only two visitor parking spaces. (No handicap plates or placard.) This was not a one time incident, but a daily occurrence till management observed me taking the photo. Busted. It's difficult to think of a better illustration of the entitlement, disregard for the law, and disrespect for residents that Bear Property Management and its property manager have consistently demonstrated. I was dismissed and was waiting on their response to see if I was approved for almost 2 weeks. Then, today I was told by Irina that ALL of the available two bedroom apartments were rented last week. She never told me if I was approved. I provided 6 months of on-time rental payment history, 6 months of bank statements, and a work contract to prove income. I have a VERY hard time believing that not only was that not enough to get approved but that every single 2 bedroom apartment was rented last week. So, not only did they lie but they acted as if they were above me. They treated a pregnant women with complete disrespect and disregard. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. My recommendation is to take your business elsewhere. Do not make the same mistake I made.

Communication was avoided for months despite my repeated efforts to resolve straightforward issues. I sent 12-15 emails and made numerous phone calls over a six‑month period with no meaningful response. The only way to get any action was to repeatedly confront the front desk staff, which no customer should be forced to do. Even then, calls to the front desk routinely resulted in being placed on hold multiple times. Staff appear understaffed and lack the authority or knowledge to resolve basic matters, which caused unnecessary stress and delays for me as a homeowner. What makes this situation unacceptable is that after months of their inaction, I am now being fined nearly $4,000 for delays they themselves caused. All of this could have been resolved early on with a simple phone call or email, had the company chosen to engage. This is a clear case of mismanagement, poor internal coordination, and disregard for clients. If they are managing your property, proceed with extreme caution. When a minor appliance was requested to be replaced, she gave us 30 days notice to move. This woman deserves NOTHING in the way of commission from her customers.
