Because their crematorium is broken and can't be repaired, they charged crazy transportation costs to transfer my brother. That should be their cost. They quoted a price to my sister-in-law , and it was significantly higher. They told us they would take pictures of flowers with the card for thank you card purposes and did not. My sister and I were going to do it, but Rebecca said she would and she did not. They are rude and unprofessional. The general manager, Kevin is as well as the lady answering the phone. She speaks over you, doesn't listen and you can't speak to her. When you tell her she is unprofessional, she hangs up on you. She did this numerous times to the grieving widow. I didn't call to speak with her in the first place. She is horrible and uncaring and should be in another line of work. The funeral home is outdated and needs a facelift. I will never use them again. It is sad because they have been around for years like our family in the town of Collinsville.

Their excuse: they didn't ensure the doctor signed the death certificate in time. Family came in from all over the US and as far away as Alaska. No one is able to go to the cemetery because it would now take too long to get her ashes returned. Attendees had faith this would go smoothly; clearly, it did not. I'm still wavering on if it was worse they put an empty urn next to her photo but I'm dejected she wasn't even at her own funeral. Although the funeral home's name is Herr, I later learned that it's been under new/different management for the last few years. When a loved one passes, the family and friends grieve. To postpone the grieving process for a major oversight and addressing it only minutes prior is unacceptable. Many of us were left with negative feelings that she prearranged the plans with this facility specifically. Further, the building is not maintained. The amount of dust we found was irritating. The temperature inside couldn't be regulated. Chandelier lights were out. The microphone batteries needed replacement for the pastor. The bathroom is not accessible (located down stairs). They dropped the ball big time. My suggestion is to find where Herr moved the business to and stick with them. It is my sincere hope that no one else has to go through this.
