I went to Dr. Attoe for a checkup plus a consultancy on a series of symptoms including chronic fatigue and irregular period. She seemed such a decent well prepared lady and I would have never expected to experience what I am about to write. For the fatigue part, I thought I was simply suffering from iron deficiency (which I had in the past). Dr. Attoe suggested to get that checked, together with the thyroid and the other routine check-ups. After around 10 days, motivated by worsened symptoms, I call in to ask if there were any news. So Dr. Attoe calls me back saying that actually my analysis (including cholesterol, thyroid, and all the rest) were all good and within the norms. So, when I asked her then what was her suggestion to lessen my symptoms, she suggested that life in NY is stressful and that many patients complaint about fatigue (I think she said roughly 20%). She also added to go more out to the park and enjoy the day. I was somewhat confused because I have lived in NY for 7 years, I am used to a hardworking life (full of stresses) yet never had I felt that way. As a daughter of an MD I tend to trust doctors and their expertise though I knew something wasn't write with her suggestion. And sure enough, around one week later I receive the print out of my analysis and turns out that my analysis are NOT ok. My ranges for ALT (which are produced by the liver) are higher than the norm and so are two other values, including cholesterol levels. I think that what might have happened is that Dr. Attoe read someone's else analysis over the phone. If this weren't enough I called in twice to ask to kindly speak to the doctor and never got called back (although I explained what the issue was). Another doctor that I consulted suggested to investigate further the liver as that could explain my strong fatigue. To sum, I would suggest Dr. Attoe that perhaps she should go less to the park and concentrate more on her patients!

(That happened to me in February) She didn't take my complaints seriously because my overall health is great and I all my blood tests always run normal. However, I wanted prescription to see a specialist and she asked where I'm planning to go and when I mentioned doctor's name she was refusing to give me prescription because she doesn't like him personally(?????). She suggested other doctor but I chose a doctor I wanted to visit and she finally gave me prescription. I had to have a surgery the next day and if I would listen to her I would end up in the emergency room. So bottom line : I won't come back to this office, never ever in my life.

She is thorough and thoughtful in her assessments and recommendations. She always presents a number of options and fully supports what you end up choosing. She committed to helping you work through whatever issue you are facing. She is smart, asks the right questions but also tell it to you straight! I have never felt rushed by her. The experience could be better in one way sometimes I wish the staff was more patient friendly - they can sometimes not be friendly and helpful and there is a wait even though you have a scheduled appointment time. They have also lost my paperwork that I made to point to make sure they had more than once.   Reason I cannot give this a 5 star review the practice and staff overall. Also I never had to wait more than a few minutes -- which is a big plus if you value your own time. The staff is excellent, positive, respectful, and the doctors are sharp and great bedtime manners -- Dr. Sunwoo in particular is fantastic. Strongly recommended. (edit: I'm appalled by some of the comments here complaining of their policy of rescheduling appointments if you're late more than 15min. For me this is a BIG PLUS; I'd rather go to a practice that respects their patients' time, rather than one that tries to accommodate a few latecomers, and ends up delaying EVERY PATIENT after that for the rest of the day. I wish every doctor had the same policy. Yes, of course life happens. When it happens to you, call the office, apologize, and reschedule.)
