Found this place through Yelp and saw all the great reviews and the presence of the owner on here responding to questions and such. Nicolas takes great pride in what he does and he does it exceptionally well. I walked in about an hour after they opened and was seen pretty quickly. I wanted to get my ear lobes pierced again after my first one as a baby haha. Nicolas greeted me at the door and we proceeded with studs or hoops. Hoops! We went to the back and he brought out a freaking caliper to measure where the second piercing would go cuz apparently my first piercings were uneven. He cleaned and marked the area and then he pierced me! He has a GREAT hand. After ensuring I liked how it looked, he went over the after care instructions thoroughly. They were VERY sanitary and made us feel welcomed. This place is possibly the best place to get piercings and tattoos done!! I went here in 2016 to get a nose piercing and it was done by Nick. The technique he used when piercing my nose made me hardly feel it at all. Today I got a tattoo done by Amber and it was done so fast! She had my friend and my tattoo done in less than 20 minutes. Not only was she quick but she was super neat. She made me feel very comfortable and she helped me design my tattoo so it was perfect. I was really excited to get my ear lobes pierced on my 21st birthday and I chose Kathouse which was the best decision yet! Nicholas was very patient and took his time to explain the whole prices. The prices were very reasonable, and the results are amazing! I appreciated the safety measures that were in place. You had to get temperature checked, sanitize your handsz and wear a mask. Only one person was allowed inside due to COVID. I had no problems with pain either. Nicholas has a really good breathing technique that helps calm you down when getting pierced and is obviously very good at what he does. I got my lobe, tragus, and helix here (along with accompanying my friend to get her nose pierced) and I just absolutely love the vibes. I reiterated a few times that regardless of that I'd prefer it to be outlined only but she said it would just bleed out and shaded it anyway. Came by to purchase a nose ring since mine fell off in my sleep. I understand appointments only but with one person working by multitasking everything is upsetting. There should at least be a receptionist available or lock the door if they're busy and can't attend to anyone walking in. Had my cartilage pierced here 2 years ago and realized I never left a review. Would have rated that a 3/5 though-- piercing was fine but the jewelry they used always came off and eventually lost it one day. Response: I very much did not mumble anything under my breath LOL and there is no where I mentioned you leaving your customer to help me. You can make all the assumptions in the world but that doesn't change the fact that I still walked into a building with no one at the front. Yelp is to write for experiences and that's what I did. As I said earlier, if it's by appointment then lock your door because I didn't know until I got on Yelp so others don't disturb you. You may have kindly informed me but it was not an enjoyable experience so your response is very informative of your customer service and reflection of you. I'm not being spoiled for voicing how I felt after visiting so ESPECIALLY after your reply, you definitely deserve a one star. Very clean and welcoming business. We took out 10 year old to have her ears pierced, on a Saturday morning. The owner was very pleasant, and knowledgeable. My husband noted that he was very meticulous about changing his gloves if touched something that wasn't clean. My daughter even signed her own consent form (in addition to us, of course.) But I thought it was a really great teaching moment about informed consent, and bodily autonomy. Very detailed after care instructions, but easy to understand. No sales pressure (which I felt when asking general questions at Claire's). We're quite looking forward to returning for her new jewelry, as they sterilize earrings as well. Also for parents: There is some artwork with some stylized, female frontal nudity in the waiting area. Got my lobes pierced here a while back and ended up with crappy and cheap externally threaded earrings that irritated my ears and crooked/angled piercings. They look okay from the front but the exit is really high up and made it hard to use regular studs once they were healed since I was constantly having to jiggle the earring around to find the right angle. The piercer had told me that they were not angled when I came in with issues and told me the irritation problems I had were my fault. You get what you pay for I guess. read more
