Highly unprofessional and very condescending people and I would make sure the stylist you choose actually knows what they are doing or else you will get a botched haircut and management will do nothing to help you out as the customer. Customer service is absolutely terrible. Had the front desk tell me that this was a great looking haircut and you can see in the photos how uneven and botched my hair and they even took way too much of my hair that I originally requested. Left several messages for Kathy the owner to call me back, They said upfront she's too busy...I went In To get a partial low light / highlight foil with a brown and whitish blonde to blend with my gray was charged $164.00 she has done my hair five other times had no problem. Sandra messed it all up didn't even die down to the roots with parts that are brown at the top of my head, then yellow then brown again proceeded to blame it on me. charge me $38.00 more to fix her mistake that three days later washed out . this is what it looks like bad job. To your reply, this is my hair. I was never told I would be charged I showed Sandra when I came in it wasn't all the way down to my scalp nor the color that I get .this looks like zebra. I'm new to the area and asked around for the best place for edgy hair cuts. Multiple people said Kathy Adams Salon. I was able to get right in through the online appointment system and Adam cut my hair. He did an EXCELLENT job and created hair perfection! You get what you pay for with hair cuts and you're going to be looking at it every day. I spent less on my hair than on my favorite pair of Doc Martens and I can show it off more. Good haircuts but over priced for my type of cut. I am a woman with what I would consider a men's cut and I was charged a full $70/80 Women's cut price the handful of times I got my hair cut here. I think it's a little silly to have "men's cut prices" but they don't apply to the cut type .. rather the actual gender of the client.. kinda unfortunate and made my pocket book feel taken advantage of. Also, when I first started getting my hair cut here it was already expensive but then I went in for my last appointment that was pre booked and no one informed me of a price increase... just all of a sudden at check out my haircut was $10 more than my last visit. I am always willing to pay for quality service I just feel like some of this was a little un justifiable. read more

I wasn't satisfied with my haircut and my stylist was not understanding at all what I was wanting. As a first time customer I'd assume better attention to detail. I recently had my hair cut and colored by Riley Alcock. She was highly professional and listened to what I wanted to have done. I was attending The CMA Awards and wanted a great color (i.e. I needed to cover my greys and liven up my color). She did a two-process color and a glaze that gave me an amazing and vibrant red. My new color netted as many compliments as my dress and even my coworkers complimented the new color. My cut is also stylish and easy to maintain, which is exactly what I asked for. al issues... I booked a few weeks in advance (I'm not local) with Sandra. I scheduled a hair color, cut and style. I arrived on time, she arrived about 15 minutes late, which wouldn't be a big deal if she hadn't been constantly texting her daughter and roommate throughout my appt. she then went to lunch and had someone else take care of me for a while. I asked for " strawberry and auburn highlights" (even brought pics!) I left with some shade of red I'd never seen and super blonde- almost green tinted highlights. She knew it bc she told me she needed to "glaze" the highlights that looked green. She's a "master stylist" so I trusted her. I was SO wrong to do that. I didn't know what to do and she was rushing me out before I could even explain what I was feeling and even told me the blonde would " tone down" when I shampooed and dried it again. She told me I was the "last client that day and she needed to get home bc her daughter had let her dog out" Again, I'm not local and trusted the "experienced" stylist. I got home and had to have my hair fixed. It was beyond horrible. When she cut my hair, I asked for about 1.5 inches and she cut closer to 3, never even bothering to frame my face like I asked. I found this salon when they were in the mall of ga. I was a walk in and a wonderful stylist named Nikki looked at my hair addressed my issues and I have been a client since. That was over 10 years ago. The salon is beautiful clean and very modern. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. I came to Kathy Adams Salon after a traumatic cut and color at another salon. My hair was dry and ultra processed from the previous salon bleaching it and then dying it again to "correct" the previous color. I asked for balayage and instead I got what looked like dip dyed blonde hair so needless to say my hair was in need of some serious TLC. After letting it grow for a few months and trying to nurse it back to health, I booked my first appointment at Kathy Adams with Amanda and she worked WONDERS on my poor hair! She cut it to look exactly like the picture I brought in and she worked magic on my horrible dye job! Instead of my hellish dip dye, it was fresh and appropriately balayaged and I LOVED it so much! I have extremely curly hair and the only person I let near it is Riley. The one time I absolutely had to go to someone else due to her being on maternity leave, my hair was butchered. When she came back and I came to her for help she took her time and constantly showed me in the mirror what she was doing and made sure it was to my liking (I was traumatized from the man I let touch my hair because it was now so short). Do NOT go to KAS! If I could assign negative stars, I would. Several BAD experiences there. We have given KAS our business for the last time. My teenager has received two botched ombre hair colorings from two different stylists there. The first time Taylor colored her hair, she left a visible color line horizontally across the back of my daughter's head. It took 6 hours to correct the mess. Two weeks ago, my daughter returned to see a different stylist, Amanda. She asked for a quote prior to the service and was told ~$189. I dropped her off at the salon at 2:30pm, then received a distressed text from my DD a few hours later that Amanda had made the same mistakes that Taylor did and her hair looked terrible. At 5:30p I called the front desk to ask what was taking so long and the employee said they were trying to correct the hair issue. She said it would be another hour. Additional texts rolled in from my daughter stating that Amanda did a terrible job with the color and she was trying to "fix" the color to make her hair look presentable, including natural blending (balayage), NOT a visible transition line. The salon closed at 8pm...they were still not finished. Finally, at 9:30pm, I had to go into the salon SEVEN hours later and confront the owner. He nor the stylist took no responsibility for the horrific customer service, long appointment time, botched color job. He and Amanda just kept stating that they did their best to make sure my daughter got what she wanted and in the end her hair looked great so why was I upset? He offered no apology nor did he offer to discount the services for our time and trouble...in fact he charged my daughter $301 for the coloring! I told him I did not expect to be charged above the initial quote especially after the awful experience. He said that was not even the full amount Amanda "should" have charged my teenage daughter! The next day I posted my negative review on FB and contacted the owner again asking him to reconsider the dollar amount he charged my daughter. She spent all of her bank account to pay this joker. He offered to reimburse her $111. The end. In the meantime, one of his KAS employees started sending me and my friend private messages on FB asking us why we are such haters, and why we are ruining the salon's livelihood. Class act, Kathy Adams. Please do not give this salon your business. Two strikes, they are out. read more

Horrible place. Overpriced & very rude. These chicks in there act like we are in Beverly Hills. I have been getting my hair done for a long time & have never heard of a highlight & cut that cost s $490 ANYWHERE. especially by some rookie who just got out of school. I was very clear on how much I wanted to spend. I paid the max I has stated & she tried to overcharge me by telling me she had to use more color AFTER doing so on her own without informing me about any of this... Very tacky & unprofessional!! Then after I had paid & left, the salon manager called me threatening me to take me to court. Who does that?! Not sure where these chicks are from but they don't have a lick of sense when it comes to customer service. You don't call a client after she has left the salon demanding more money. The wackiest experience I have ever had with the most bizarre people in this industry, mind you is have lived in a lot of major cities but this won the award for THE WORST SALON EXPERIENCE EVER. I would never recommend thus place to anyone. You are sure to get better care & service from a salon inside of a walmart. My daughter made an appointment with Jordan in December for a haircut and color. Her hair went from her rib cage and ended up above her a shoulders! And the color was perfect. It was a whole makeover and Jordan took the best care of her. So, i scheduled a haircut with her yesterday. The online scheduling they have made it extremely easy. Well, I walked out feeling amazing. I usually get the same haircut (Straight across the back trim. Lol) and she made me brave enough to try a different style with the same ease as the usual one I always get. I don't think I've ever written a review here, but I really wanted to share that Jordan made me leave the salon feeling really good about myself which probably hasn't happened in years and years. Here is an honest review, I used to go to KAS when it was at the mall several years ago. I moved downtown and spent several years at Van Michaels. When I moved back to the area, I went back to KAS in their new location. The girl I regularly see now is on maternity leave (My mom and I both love Jill), but I decided to get highlights this summer. I saw another stylist and got a little sticker shock when I paid the bill. I think it was a case of mismanaged expectations. But here's the thing, when I expressed my disappointment, Kathy, the owner, went out of her way to fix the problem. She wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with my hair and that I got a good value. She made sure I felt like I was heard. I feel so much better now and will continue to come back. read more

They are way over priced. I had an appointment and the stylist was late because she was coming from her other job. Then she was juggling two appointments at the same time. I had to wait 25 mins after the timer went off for her to get to a stopping point with the other client to rinse my hair. The front desk girl was rude also. My hair was colored but it looked really bad. It wasn't at all what I showed her I wanted based on the color swatches. It actually turned out like I had put red food coloring in my hair. I paid $260 just for highlights that look terrible. I am telling people that it's my 4th of July statement just until I can get it re-done. read more
