This salon is now under new ownership & Bailey, the owner, unfortunately needs more training in hair coloring, especially for blondes. I asked her to give me NO cool tone blonde hair. As you can see in the pictures herein, I'm definitely not an all over warm blonde, but rather a mixture of colors with bright white blonde around my hairline & dark roots showing, along with a mixture of other colors throughout. I could tell when she rinsed my hair that something wasn't right as you can clearly see in the picture. She asked me if I was on Google when I merely asked her about semipermanent vs demipermanent on my hair & when I told her yes, she got an attitude & told me I need to trust her. This is what my trust got me. I had a consult with a colorist in Atlanta on Friday who I now have to pay to fix her ugly mess up. You can clearly see the demarcation lines & different colors in my hair. Even the top salon in Atlanta was shaking their head at this mess in my hair. Don't waist your money like I did. She has no experience in doing blonde nor even knows about suggesting a raw lift, no toner to make someone warm blonde. The pictures herein speak for themselves. The fact that you responded and lied through your teeth stating that this visit was for "correcting bright orange low lights" is WILD! And not once during this visit did you adjust my tone mid service during this visit. You in fact absolutely do NOT know how to properly do blonde hair. Notice how you didn't even mention all the demarcation lines you left in my hair. People that read this will see the truth, for the pictures speak for themselves, and they speak volumes. My hair has since been corrected by an expert colorist in Atlanta whom did a raw lift. I no longer have multiple color shades and all the demarcation lines are gone. It's unfortunate that at the very least, you didn't take some type of accountability. read more

Spent $300 on a cut & color here and left with horizontal striped highlights when I pull my hair back. I called in, they said you were here 9 days ago?! As if that was a while ago....Yes, I went to FL with my family for the week hoping it would wash out, but it didn't. Definitely won't be coming back! Also the back room with the dryers smells like dog, so idk if they have dogs back there, but it smelt foul. read more

First visit was great, expensive 288.00 before tip, but I got what I asked for. Second visit was terrible. Same stylist, rushed job. No highlights at all framing my face or the back. Base way too dark which just made it look worse. Needless to say, my hair stayed down to cover the mess underneath. Price was 277.00. Definitely not worth it. Just a few doors down at studio 93, they fixed the color and price was much cheaper. Would have only given one star, but the first visit, she wasn't in a hurry to leave and she did a great job. Such a shame. After three tries, I am done with Advanced Coloration. PROS - Awesome talent. I have been to both Leah and Megan I absolutely love their highlights and Leah's haircuts. - The color product is great, low ammonia and it lasts! CONS - Two of the three times, the ladies have been late (not just backed up with clients late, but arriving to work late while I wait for them to show up). - The check-in is in the back of the salon and they always clueless as to why I am there. - The salon is absolutely filthy. Caked on dust, dirty mirrors, paint chipped stations, and the hair... it is on the chairs, all over the floor, in the mirror frames...everywhere! Both times I have had my highlights done, the smocks have been dirty (hair, smell of perfume from past clients). Oh, and the waiting area sofas -ugh! - They charge $35 to dry your hair after you've paid full price for highlights. Yes, I said DRY your hair. They said it was a "blow-out". I am not sure what that means, but where I come from, we call it "drying your hair" and we would respect our customers enough to tell them before we charged them $35 to dry their hair. Final Note: I find it interesting that several of the positive reviews are from reviewers with only 1 review, all use the same phrase, "love, love, love" and are riddled with capital letters. Just got my hair done there for the first time. Rena colored and cut it and did an amazing job! I usually get highlights and color and wanted to go for a more natural look with the highlights blending into my natural color. Definitely not worth it! My hair is curly and I came in for a root touch up and hair cut with blow drying. The lady that I had ruined my hair giving me a darker root color than what I had and highlights that in some areas where white. Instead of blow drying my hair, she used a straighter which then made my hair feel like straw. I lasted three days with that horrible color and I colored it myself. The haircut was shorter than I asked for too. Very horrible experience and don't recommend. Oh and the price was approx $175. Not worth it. read more

Elita- does THE BEST updos. Her color melting is so dimensional. Meagan has a serious knack for my blonde highlights. Went to get my consultation today with Bailey and she had actually scheduled a full appointment so she had time to do what I wanted! Let me just say, although the price is pretty up there, I am more than satisfied with the results of my hair. I am definitely a girl on a budget, but to say this was worth the splurge is an understatement. I got 175$ worth of color done to my hair and Bailey couldn't have done a better job! The overall experience was amazing. They offer you something to drink throughout your appointment and the environment in there feels like family. I don't know that I'd trust any other salon going forward. All being said though, I will say that I wish I would've been given fair warning about how much my color job was going to be. Had I known what the price tag was gonna look like, I would've tried to work more with what my budget allows. "Beginner Coloration" would be a more accurate name for this salon. After reading the positive reviews for this salon, I felt confident that I would have a great experience here. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I came in for a color glaze before a formal event and was terribly disappointed. I asked for a soft, medium brown color and came out with Amy Winehouse jet-black hair. The girl doing my hair FORGOT me in the shampoo bowl and I had to ask another stylist to track her down because I could see that my hair was many shades too dark. After this (and no apology), the stylist asked if I would like my hair dried. I had no intentions of leaving the salon with dripping wet, black hair, but I wish I had. The stylist did not inform me that blow drying my hair would add an additional $35 to my bill. Instead of paying the $35 listed on the service menu for the color glaze, I was charged $70 (I was so upset, embarrassed, and ready to leave that I paid in full AND left a tip without disputing anything). To top it off, I had color all over my face that the stylist told me to "just use some coconut oil on." (which did not work - I had to wear heavy makeup for several days to cover the black streaks.) I left in tears because my hair was not anywhere close to what I asked for, I felt that the service was neglectful, and I was grossly overcharged. If you care about how your hair looks and if you want to be treated kindly at a salon, do not come here. read more
