My daughter had her first accident this year her fault but thankfully no one was hurt besides the truck she was driving. Not ever being in an accident myself I had no idea what to do or how to file a clam nothing. The amazing clam depart at state farm reached out to use shortly after the accident and was so kind and extremely helpful. After years with dame agent you would think they would have a little more customer service experience after the last last year 3 increase in insurance they would be able to explain why better! Did the drive and save saved the 10% just to use it but after 6 months using it didn't save nothing even though was at 80% or better and still my insurance went up??? I spoke one of the agent, Amanda Baxter today. She asked about the material of the interiors, all other stuff that we upgrade for my second vacation home...I asked her to cost effective quote if possible since this is not my primary home, she gave a quote for over $2000 for the coverage per year on $885K value of Olympia house. I told her that it's too expensive as compare to what other agent gave to me, and I asked her again, "Is there a way to lower down the cost?" She said, she can only present whatever the system shows, otherwise she said she will lose her license. And I asked her how come I got the lower payment for my current house in camas which is more expensive value in the market. She said, "different city and state has different rule applies." I asked her again, "it doesn't need to be insured the cost of the interior? Do I have any options for me not to purchase to cover the new interior cost?" and She said, "No" And then she asked me, "would you like to shop around?", I said, Yes, but I'd like to..." as soon as she heard, my voice "yes", she hung off the phone. I called her back right away... and She's more rude and laugh at me when I explain how I felt to her... I have been a State Farm client of Kathy Landers since 2013 and have carried homeowner's insurance as well as automobile insurance on multiple vehicles. I have been impressed with Kathy and her staff's professionalism, knowledge, friendliness, responsiveness, insurance options, service and affordability. All the things that make you feel like "State Farm is there" for you! I was especially pleased to log in to my account recently and see State Farm's response to the COVID-19 pandemic: "State Farm Good Neighbor Relief is returning $2 billion dividend to Mutual auto insurance customers. On average, most customers will see a 25% policy credit. Customers do not need to take action. Credits will be applied automatically." This was welcome and unsolicited news, and much appreciated! I think I've only met with Kathy once, and she was great but OMG Dondi is the absolute best! She's super fast on email replies, happy to answer all my (silly? complicated?) questions and is just a joy. As long as we live somewhere State Farm insures, I'm keeping Dondi. I've only been with them since I moved here last summer, and so I can't comment on their claims treatment -- though I've been treated very well by State Farm in the past. I can say their customer service is exceptional. Very speedy, helpful, they have steered me to coverage that I needed without even realizing it, and saved me $$ by offering gap insurance on a car loan that the dealer wanted to charge me for. read more

Now that I'm "disabled/retired" I think it's fair that I can be pretty unbiased on reviews of agents. Kathy is a great active agent. She has wonderful prior claims knowledge, which is probably her most valuable asset. And she doesn't hesitate to call people in the middle of the night if that's what it takes to have her client's needs taken care of. I'm a retired GM that worked in the disaster industry for around 20 years. I have State Farm. I've processed thousands of claims in my life, with more carriers than I can count. Take it from me. Dondi Rolf gave me an erroneous auto policy quote that was not properly underwritten until weeks after I switched from a reasonably priced Progressive policy. Then I got a call that they're sending me a letter of cancelation and if I want to behold the privilege of a State Farm policy my quoted rate will be more than doubled to over $400 per month. All because of an accident and minor speeding ticket I was assured had been taken into consideration at the time of the quote (read the fine print I guess). I don't know these people personally but this was the most unprofessional business encounter I've been a part of_ and that may be more a reflection of State Farm's unfortunate underwriting process but Kathy Landers is an unethical group of snake oil salesman as far as I'm concerned. They sold me a junk policy, wasted my time, and could have put me at a financial disadvantage if I hadn't of had another opportunity from an honest insurance company already lined up. If you're in the market, keep looking, and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. read more

We've been with Kathy Landers group for many years. Have never filed a claim. Recently we filed a claim for replacing our roof and because of incorrect information provided by her staff the claim was denied. At minimum we will be switching agents. If I could give the Landers Group a negative rating I would. Give your money to an agent who cares and will be your advocate. Ms. Landers offers none of that. read more
