Seems to be more of a cattle call, move as many people as quickly as they can and unfortunately this can mean unclean tools and/or tubs. This is my first time at this salon. I needed my acrylic nails removed; they were growing off. I also needed a pedicure. The guy who did my manicure ripped my acrylic layover off instead of soaking them off. It was painful. He rushed through it and was done in 15 minutes. No hand massage or anything, and still charged me for a full priced manicure. I then went for the pedicure. He was fantastic, detailed, patient, thorough and did an excellent job. During the pedicure there was an unhappy client at the register. The client concerns is not my complaint it's the owners response once she left the salon. She trash talked the unhappy client to those of us paying clients sitting there! So unbelievable unprofessional, inappropriate and rude! Why would I want to come back to a place where I know, as a personal fact, the OWNER is bad mouthing clients. It doesn't matter that the disgruntled previous client was someone who always complains when then come in. The fact that the owner, herself, pictured below, talks badly about paying clients to present paying clients after they've have left the salon is bad business. I will make it my mission to be sure that no one I know will ever go to this salon for any services; ever. read more

Was hopeful based on great reviews to finally find a nail salon. Place was very busy. Had appt and while waiting noticed internet outage issues with others who were asked to pay cash, no credit. Be prepared as told it happens often. Kathy did dip mani with gel. Sorry but worst one I've ever had in years of doing this. Showed pics and they're like clubs vs nails. Pedi person asked at least 8 times to upgrade, left me soaking at least 15 minutes after disappearing and rushed pedi, cutting nails so narrow on sides they look weird now. Pedi was a joke. Polish all over like a child on toes. Oh my! Worst experience. read more

Very thorough job on the pedicure and Michele did a marvelous job on my nails fixing one that I had broken. So surprised & happy to get appt same day I called even though 5p is much later than usual for me. A friend had recommended and I wanted to find a salon in PV, closer to home. 1st - I couldn't find it. Address is indicated to be on Second St, but it really isn't. I called, explained couldn't find & was to "...it faces 69...". Obviously I'm not the first to have this problem. To bad guy who booked appt hadn't asked if I'd been there before and maybe told me. 2nd - I was a few minutes late, no one was at front desk??? A young guy came out from back &;without even greeting me, he answered the phone. When he hung up he asked if I had just called, I answered yes, he merely pointed to a table and told me to pick a color. 3rd - Actual bottles on wall appeared to be gels so I caught asked a passing EE where regular colors were. She pointed a table where there was a pile of books and those fake colored nails on rings hanging ...a lot of them. Just pick a color she said, I repeated I just wanted regular polish, she told tell person who's doing my nails. 4th - I stood waiting, saw two women helped & taken to chairs, both had arrived after me! Then a woman approached, yea my turn, nope, she told me to take a seat. 5th - I sat. Then I noticed all pedicure chairs were filled which meant I'd be waiting a while longer. Too many bad customer service issues from the start so I left. I'll be staying with my Prescott salon. read more

This is a beautiful place. The people are very kind. I had a bad set from a previous nail shop. They had said they do ombré and messed my nails up. Johnny here at Kathy's fixed my nails and made my nails beautiful again. The girl that did my pedicure was gentle. The shop is clean! They have so many different colors and styles of polish it will take a long time to bored getting your nails done here. My only regret is that I don't live closer to have the shop my primary shop. I will be back on my next trip to Prescott Valley. Also FYI the shop is facing 1st if you are interested in going. read more

I made an appointment for a manicure. When I arrived the man seemed confused and motioned for me to have a seat at one of the stations. While I was sitting there I noticed how dirty the space was. There were even someone's clipped fingernails on the tabletop. Gross! I waited 15 minutes and was totally ignored. I walked out with someone calling after me, "take you now!" But I had reached my limit. I will never go back there and don't recommend it to anyone else either. If someone would have at least said, "sorry, someone will be with you soon," I would have waited. I have been coming to Kathy nails & Spa for about 6 months now as I'm newer to town. I get my pedicures/manicures/eyebrow waxing here, my boyfriend even gets his eyebrows done here as well. The salon itself is so gorgeous and has the nicest seats/employees/colors/you name it. They're able to do many different designs. I had a set or two when I first came that had the tiniest problem and I was treated so well, invited in at my earliest convenience and was all fixed up in the most generous way. I point this out especially because it's what brought me to write the review, plenty of other nail salons have not been helpful when it comes to fixing nails in the past (in my experience) and I admire the grace they showed me about it. Special shoutout to Kylee who has done my last two sets and is now my go to gal:) Kathy is so funny and always makes you feel welcomed in. She is an extremely talented nail artist and waxer! They are kind to everyone and listening to the overall atmosphere is always pleasant from the music to the laughter between employees and even customers chatting to each other.
