I have not had any communication from Council Upholstery at all in all this time. I am now concerned. Between the cost of the bench and fabric i might be out close to $400 with nothing to show for it. I have called the listed phone # twice to no avail and written 2 G Mails to them. No response. I initially wanted my truck's two front seats upholstered and went to Randy's shop because a friend…read moreof mine had his business next door to Randy for several years. I left my truck with Randy in March 2023. He matched the existing color of my truck's upholstery and ask for $100 to cover price of materials. In April I was called away to help my 93 year old dad who lived in Nevada. I told Randy I had to leave town but my friend would get my truck when it was finished. He said no problem but asked if I would pay him now for the job which I did. I went out and helped my dad for 3 weeks when I returned my truck was untouched. Randy said he had personnel issues as his helper quit but he would get to it right away. In June my truck still had not been touch and Randy had one excuse after another. I had to go in for knee replacement and told him that would give him time to complete. You can probably see where this is going. I can't tell you how many times I went to his shop and he kept making promises and apologizing. He said I was his top priority but every time I went to his shop he was working on another project. I finally told him I was going to take him to court. Then he said he would get it done and again blaming everyone else for it not being completed. His wife miss cut the fabric his daughter slashed her arm ! On and on ... the day before I got my truck back I went to his shop to see the progress with my friend. He had my trucks driver's seat installed and my truck was running because the battery needed charging I guess so we left. I called him the next morning and asked if my truck was ready. He said yes then told me I left my truck running and the lights were on! I told him I never started my truck, he did for some reason and he had the keys and possession. So apparently my truck was left idling all night because in the morning the low fuel light was on! I finally got my truck back on September 28, 2023 ! So you do the math (7 months) and my friend drove it back to my home. At my house I looked at the job and it was terrible. The color didn't even match my original upholstery. There were small cuts in a few areas, the finish work was crap and the material was sagging in several places! He even use my old existing material on the seat backs and you can clearly see the color miss match. I took pictures of it because I intended to take Randy to court over all this. I called him and told him he did a lousy job in my truck and he ask why! I told him and he started saying I got some material coming and I cut him off saying I was taking him to court. So I would tell anybody to look somewhere else this man doesn't deserve to be in business.

Well I was finally able to get the cushions back. Randy gave me 2 checks even though I specifically…read moreasked for cash or money order since he cant be trusted. Sure enough, insufficient funds. DO NOT USE!
