I work for a regional grocery chain near a major interstate and we have travelers expecting to purchase hard liquor, which by state law we cannot sell. So I refer them to Kathy's if it is Sunday or after the State Store has closed. Very Friendly staff. Nicely laid out with a very good selection of wine and beer. Walked in and got a lovely greeting. The store looked organized, clean. The lady behind counter was very nice and helpful. My sister and I enjoyed her banter and her wonderful personality. I was followed around the store by a lady in a cut off shirt, Jean shorts and tacky tattoos. Turns out, she works there because she finally asked me (in what sounded like an annoyed voice) if I needed help finding anything. Really? If your on the clock how about wearing decent clothes and use proper customer service skills. While there is a nice selection of craft beer, the prices on everything were ridiculous. I'd rather lose a little time and save a ton of money by going to ABC beverage or The Cellar. Also, this place REEKS of stale cigarettes. read more

Hi, All! A quick note to say that I stopped in @ Kathy's today to check it out and was SO pleasantly surprised. I was looking for Old Smokey Salty Carmel brand (which I found), of which ABC Beverage consistently is out of. I was treated like I belonged and was welcomed. ABC does not give off that vibe at all! They have great selections of wines. The owner and staffs are incredibly nice. I would recommend this place to people.

Kathy's seems to have the largest selection of any liquor store I've visited in the Eastern Shore area, but you definitely pay for it. While the store is nice, clean, and seems to be well stocked, some of the prices were outrageous. It's always hard to compare liquor prices, but some items were more than double what I've paid for them in the past! In contrast to the liquor prices, the beer seemed much more reasonable. I was also very excited to see that they sell single cold bottles of Abita Root Beer! read more

I was in the area and I noticed that they were open Easter Day on my way home so I stopped to grab something to drink when I got home. I've dealt with package doors before, and I'm used to paying say $2 more than the state store. I ended up paying almost twice the amount charged at a state store for a pint of vodka. Once again I appreciate them being open on Easter but that will not happen again read more

Kathy's is great. Good selection and helpful service. As far as the political stuff, people need to grow up. We are surrounded by left wing propaganda everywhere we look. It's nice that someone still believes in free thought. Prices are higher than ABC stores but that's how it woks. Kathy's keep late hours where the ABC stores do not. It's my go-to. read more
