I worked with James, the manager and after looking at various sets, I chose the one I wanted. I don't do impulse buying, so I waited a few weeks to make sure, then came back in to complete the purchase. Everything handled inside of twenty minutes, max. We set a delivery date; they called the day before to confirm; and the drivers showed up on the date and within the window. They hauled my furniture up two flights of stairs, unpacked it, set it up and placed it right where I wanted. I obviously can't refute others experiences, but having recently arrived in the area, Hanks of Spanish Fort is most definitely on my list for whenever I need furniture in the future.

I also bought 5 pretty gold lanterns for $10 for the set. I planned to hang them around my pergola with citronella candles in them, but one ended up on one of those gorgeous nightstands. He also had a beautiful oak king size bed frame and dresser and mirror. He only wanted about $250 (I think) for the dresser. He also had appliances and small appliances, lamps, dishes, and various furniture. Think of anything you'd put in a storage building...he buys contents of storage buildings when people don't pay their storage fees. You can find a little bit of everything there and the prices are super cheap. He only takes cash, so make sure you take plenty. I'm sure this will end up being a frequent stop for me.

They still have the same cushions, and they're very reasonably priced - maybe $30 per full seat cushion. They have plenty of garden items. My favorite thing in the store is the housewares. They had a great selection of furniture, including some pretty little gold and mirror tables that I think will make great nightstands. I found some ottomans similar to ones my BFF priced at another store and the ones here were half the price. They have an aisle of mirrors, a few aisles of pictures for every room in the house, a huge selection of trendy lamps, bedding and linens, bath accessories, and small kitchen appliances and cookware. Seriously, everything you want or need can be found in At Home. Really, you'd have to see it all to believe it. But to be a salvage store they were a bit overpriced. We didn't we're not willing to pay $139 or even $99 for an out-of-the box scratch and dent chair.
