I love how every week is an interesting theme and the kids come home with multiple creative projects that they make each day. In addition, the toddlers focus on learning 2-3 letters and a number each month along with a shape and a color and the preschoolers practice tracing their names, letters, and numbers along with scissor skills and lacing. The teachers are so wonderful and nurturing and the kids are stimulated, learning, having fun, and so proud of themselves. I couldn't be happier with this school.

Everyday I go to work, I know he is safe and enjoying himself. There is challenging curriculum and lot's of artistic activities. I love the feel of a smaller home daycare because he gets tons of 1:1 attention - Gail really knows all her kids so well and each individual child's needs. He is constantly coming home with new skills and vocabulary, he is learning a ton (he is 15 months old). She is a nurturing provider and has a great way with the kids. The daycare also has lots of toys, manipulatives, etc. so my son is always very busy, and there is a huge fenced in yard so he gets plenty of exercise. Our two-year-old daughter wakes up every day asking if she can go play at Monique's house. We really appreciate the open concept and independent learning that's encouraged at One Childhood- plus the outdoor space (including hobbit hole! and water tables) is hard to beat. The hours are great (7:30-5:30) and Monique and Howie are super flexible. Did I mention they have a chameleon the kids love? He took to Monique and Howie right away. When he first started going here he was still in diapers and when we were ready to potty train Monique was right on board and we were in undies in no time! I love that all of the meals are freshly prepared, lots of fruits and veggies. When my first started he was a picky 2 year old with limited foods he would eat. Once I changed up the meal time routine at home Monique followed suit at school and now he eats so many foods and things he would never touch before. I love that she sends pictures and daily/weekly updates on how he is doing. They do lots of outdoor play and do awesome field trips like the museum of science and even the beach! I plan to have my son here until he transitions to either preschool or kindergarten. I only wish I had found this daycare sooner!!
