The shop is good (the only reason for the second Star) but the restaurant in the back is quite bad. We went because of good reviews we had seen in the past but it was a terrible experience. The chicken chilli is just legit chicken nuggets with a sauce. The chicken choila tasted like it was made days ago and repeatedly reheated. Incredibly dry and overall inedible. There was something hard like a pebble in it every few bites, I don't think it was on purpose. The samosas were good. The momos didn't appear to be made on site. They were just tossed from what looked to be pre-packaging from the freezer and tossed into the heater. I felt immediately sick and thought my food might've been contaminated (I have good allergies but was told these item didn't contain the ingredients). However, my boyfriend also felt ill soon after. He has no food allergies. It's counter service in the back corner of the store. The people were friendly enough. read more

I love going in there and getting their samosas. My boyfriend gets these noodles with beef. They are spicy, but they are really good. Very fresh food great service and I like the little set up. They have with the chairs and tables plus you get to look at their store too, and they have some really good stuff. read more

Best Momo's in town, hands down! The choila is a must and the samosa chaat is a real treat. Also, the thukpa is a perfect cold remedy, just make sure to get some spicy Momo achar, it'll only help. For Nepalese food, the prices are unbeatable! read more

Just called the store to ask if they carried Patak's spice pastes. They refused to answer my first call, undoubtedly because it was two minutes before they opened at 10 AM. I called at 10:05 and it rang about forty times before someone picked up and then after I told them what I was looking for they hung up. Called a third time and finally got somebody that would stay on the line. First of all, if you're going to operate a business in the United States, it would be REALLY nice if your help could communicate in English. I had to spell every other word to get them to understand what i was looking for. They claimed they didn't carry any Patak's products, which I find very difficult to believe since it's very popular in Indian cuisine. My guess is that DESPITE the excruciating description I was forced to provide they STILL didn't know what I was talking about. read more

Decided to order from Katmandu instead of Sunshine Oriental to try different dumplings as a birthday meal for my Dad. I also ordered the Choila, potatoes, fried rice, samosas and chow mein. The chow mein was missing from my order. Unfortunately the dumplings - chicken, beef, and veggie, were really bland. The veggie ones were barely filled, and mostly tasted like straight cabbage with no seasoning. The beef in the beef dumplings was overcooked and tasted like a simple beef broth. I couldnt taste any garlic or onion/green onion. The chicken....tasted like chicken. Our whole family lived in asia for a few years, so dumplings were something we ate regularly. Sunshine oriental's dumplings arent super close to that authentic flavor, but have the right idea. Katmandu's dumplings are 0/10. The Choila and potatoes were ok, but extremely spicy and overpowering. The chicken in the choila was very dry. The only thing I enjoyed was the samosas, perfectly seasoned, just enough spice and crunchy. The fried rice was very soft, had no salt/spice, and the beef was overcooked and black. Overall, I spent close to $60 on uber eats for this, and very disappointed, esp since I didnt get to try the noodles, which I looked forward to. I've been here many times since my last review, and the food is just as good as usual. I've branched out and tried some new things: If you like spicy, you've got to try the Ramen Soup! Sounds ho hum, but it packs some real heat! It's a tasty broth with ramen noodles, bok choy, cilantro, raw red onion slices, and choice of meat - I always get chicken. It's a reddish color, from all the cayenne floating on top! Really good! The Samosas are great too - a good appetizer for the soup. They're a bit spicy too, packed with potatoes and peas! It's also a good place to buy commonly used grains, spices and pasta in BULK, e.g. a big bag of cardamom SEEDS for less money than a handful of cardamom PODS in a spice jar at an American grocery. I ordered from Uber Eats. I have never had food from the far east that was this ridicululously hot. They had put some much chili pepper or oil into everything that the light fragrance of the other spices was destroyed. To the best of my knowledge I did not request extra spicy or anything like that. At the back of this amply stocked Asian grocery store is a wonderful little Tibetan restaurant. The food seems very authentic and prices are quite reasonable. I didn't know what the portion sizes were, but the very cordial head chef advised me to order whatever I wanted first and if I was still hungry just order again - great advice. I enjoyed the tasty and spicy chili momos first, and then noticed that the crowd of regulars around me ordered the chow mein (something I never order) which looked fantastic. I come here often for the groceries, but I can't recommend the restaurant. I went with a group of friends from work and all but one of the dishes we ordered were disappointing. The broth in my Thukpa had good texture but was completely flavorless; the meat in the Mini Ramen was unpleasantly hard; the noodles in the beef noodle soup were bland. If you do choose to eat here, I can wholeheartedly recommend the C.Momo and the Chow Mein. The grocery section remains the best place in Concord to get Asian goodies, but I won't be coming back to eat here. read more

What a freaky find in the middle of Concord NH! Who would expect to find such a random emporium of mashed-potatoes mixpot cultures. Nepalese bridal gowns, African vegetables, Indian curries, cool stuff from all over the world. I don't even know what the heck to do with all of these foodstuffs, but the grub they are serving is really spicy funky Asian fresh like-you-are-in-a-NYC-borough kind of cool!! Next time you come to find "Government" at the state capitol, make sure to check this place out. First, you will find most everything you want in this store. It has been around for a long time and it tried and true. Second, I want to say that the owner and employees are - well - beyond beyond. Tonight I not only was able to return an item I mistakenly bought but when I left I discovered my keys were locked in the car. A relative of the owner kindly offered to call AAA for me, and we did. AAA didn't come for 1.75 hours ("90 minutes or less" hah) but I was able to stay in the store that time, out of the cold (low 20's), to wait. Kindness counts. I'm going to do more of it. After driving by this place and reading the reviews, Hubs and I wanted to try this place. We got here about 30 minutes to closing time and ordered chicken biryani, beef thenduk and C. Momo. Daughter and Hubs liked the biryani but he wished that they removed the cardamom pods and other whole flavored spices. It was a little annoying to be biting into the whole pods and spices because we were worried about chipping our teeth. The beef thenduk was ok. I liked the homemade noodles. My favorite was the C. Momo because it was spicy. Place was a little hole in the wall and you have to walk through the market to get there. Service was ok. Glad we got to try this place. read more

This place was a pleasant find! I loved the momos and ramyun. It is more of a place to grab a quick bite on a stool at a bar top but it is delish! I liked the momos and hot sauce so much I got two orders to go and can steam them when I get a craving! I was also told that they have a chef off in training and that they will be expanding the menu. I personally can't wait to try all the new offerings! I was also able to grab a few spices that I cannot find at my local grocery store before I left. I call this place a win, win! read more
