He came on time to pick up us. We weren't quite ready, but he waited patiently. There were 7 of us. We rode in the immaculate white Explorer. We were a little cozy, but it was fine. Fred was very accommodating, flexible, friendly, helpful and kind. One of my grandsons is handicapped and he was very helpful with him. Let him ride in the front with him and helped with his walker. We were allowed to bring snacks and water which we indulged in between stops. He dropped us off at the door and we did not see him again until it was time to move on to the next stop. One of the wineries was closed for a wedding so he substituted another winery on the opposite side of the tour we were doing, but were interested in because the winery has a store in our town that we go to often. We had a great time! If you are in doubt, go for it. We met his wife, Heidi, at one of the stops and I am sure she would be just as good.

The server was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the meads and what was in them (we have some allergies). We got a flight of 4 meads that came on a cute hanger with a handle. We were able to sit on their patio at a table under an umbrella. There was lots more seating on picnic tables in the yard as well. They were dog-friendly with several pups visiting on-leash. My boyfriend really loved the meads. I don't usually like sweet drinks but I liked a berry "Jammed Up" mead. We took a couple of bottles home. The merchandise is top-notch, with hoodies and lots of nice stuff with bees on it. I will definitely return. Adding this place as a stop during our Shawnee Hills Wine Trail girls trips.

However the reason for the 3 stars is due to the unfriendliness of the staff we had a girl with black hair. Also the rescue was very stuck up and rude. We asked to hold a kitten and they refused. Yet talking about how they wanted them all adopted. Only thing I can come up with is because we didn't buy a table for the paint and sip. Weird for winery to not allow any inside seating unless you buy a table for the rescue then allowing the rescue to be so rude to their customers

There is a large indoor area and a huge back patio partly covered/partly uncovered overlooking a small pond that provides a nice lively but pretty setting in which to enjoy your wine. The parking lot is right out front. They allow you to bring in food and do permit dogs on-leash. When we entered, we saw lots of rather typical wine merchandise to buy. We were hoping to have wine flights outside on the patio, but they only do flights inside at the walk-up bar. Instead, we had a couple of small tastes and picked a bottle of wine to bring out back on the patio. There was a live band performing which was nice. Lots of seating and an energetic vibe. We enjoyed our wine as well. You have the option to either keep your wine glasses as a souvenir or return them to get your deposit back.
