I wouldn't go out of my way for the food, but it was a nice compliment to the quality beer. The facility was new, well maintained, and I dug the scorched wood tables. There is a stage where bands can play, and a reception hall nextdoor. Overall I think it is a nice addition to the brewery and winery industry that has grown over the last decade. The lobby itself is beautiful , the rooms itself are incredible. They have a beautiful balcony if you stay in the main part of the hotel. The outdoor area is also really good and has great views. you even have a bonfire. The guests here are really down to earth and friendly. This place hosts weddings and other Gatherings as well. Since there wasn't a lot of guests here, I really wish there was an opportunity to actually have the bar open during our visit. The Innkeeper also does a great job taking care of the hotel. Even though it's a bit far even though it's a bit far from a grocery store I recommend buying your stuff in advance. If you're making your way to the winery Trail or to the hiking trails you're in the absolute heart of it all and that's why this whole house and the prime location that it is! I really enjoyed the green tomato sausage pizza, I enjoy a green tomato, not many restaurants have them on their menu in a state other than fried, so I had to get it. The flavors were great; the tartness of the green tomato went well with the sausage. The space is incredible, very rustic and woodsy, the perfect backdrop to the foraged beers. We enjoyed sipping whiskey with them on the front porch of the B&B ;) Breakfast both mornings was a delightful surprise. Paul is an excellent chef who asks for likes and dislikes the evening before. Habenero poppers, French toast, bacon and yogurt with strawberries and coconut, along with fresh brewed coffee, greeted us the first morning. Oven roasted butternut squash, blueberries, avocado English muffins and omelets were served the second morning. Conversation flowed easily with our hosts. We stayed in the Carbondale Room, the upstairs suite. A comfortable king bed, shower and toilet, along with a closet and dresser, make up the room. If you are passing through, visiting your student or traveling the local wine trail, consider The Train Inn!
