I needed an application that I was filling out notarized. I did a search online and found Notary…read morePro. You have two options to get a document notarized by Notary Pro: - Do it digitally by preparing your application online, go on a video call with a law specialist to witness your signature, and have your application notarized - Do it in person to sign your application in front of your law expert, and then have it notarized Since it was my first time getting any document notarized, I wanted to experience the traditional method. The process was simple. I made an appointment online, filled out details about the application that I needed notarized, and booked my appointment. I got a confirmation message in my inbox and a link if I need to change my appointment at any time. The site clearly explains how much each service costs. It also tells you upfront that only debit and credit cards are accepted. Before your appointment, an e-mail gets sent to you, reminding you of your appointment. It's good. My appointment was for 10:30 am. I needed to head to a building on the southwest corner of Midland and McNicoll. I often pass by this building. It was my first time visiting it. There was a decent amount of parking in the lot. I parked farther back from the main entrance and headed over to the main entrance. Parking is free. I saw a small plaque that said Jackson Lewis 1988. I like figuring out what such details mean. Jackson Lewis was a construction company. My guess is that this building was completed in 1988. BFC Construction acquired Jackson Lewis. I can't tell whether this company still owns this building. The main door automatically open when it senses that a human is there. There are a few steps that you need to go up to get to the main entrance. There is also a ramp for those who need to use it instead of stairs. There was a sign that said that you had to wear a mask. It threw me off at first. However, I peered into a room on the main level. No staffer was wearing a mask. There are washrooms on the main floor. I don't know whether they are for everyone or if you need special access to use them. I found the elevators. There are two of them. I used one to go up to the third floor. This building has five floors. I like that the button has a pink ring around it after you have pressed the floor that you want. It's an interesting setup. All suites are located on the left when you exit the elevators and arrive on the third floor. You need to see reception first. The woman there was wonderful seeing touristy me trying to figure things out. She immediately contacted Dharshini Dhurairatnam, with whom I had an appointment. Dharshini was friendly and nice. She came out to greet me. She cut through the lunch room. I wasn't sure if I could. She said that it was fine. She has her own small office. It's basic, but it does the job. I presented my driver's licence to prove my identity. I then shared my nearly completed application with her. It was nice that she went through my application to make sure that I had filled out everything correctly. We got to the page where I needed it notarized. She witnessed my signing it. She went ahead and filled it out. She then officially stamped it and added a notary seal. Done! I had a nice chat with her afterwards. She helps out with Notary Pro. She is a licensed paralegal and notary. She offers a wide range of services. The one that piqued my interest was landlord and tenant law. I gave an example of my best friend owning a condo. He had a tenant who damaged his condo and then would not move out. I asked whether she deals with such a scenario. She does. She does immigration law, small claims, notary and commissioning, and more. She is competent and was great easing my mind about the notary process. I paid for this notary service with a credit card. She uses Square. It was seamless. She checked with me that my e-mail address was correct before she submitted a receipt to it. I recommend Notary Pro and Dharshini for notary services. The process was smooth and fast. Dharshini was professional and a delight to chat with. (405)

Trustpilot is not letting me publish a bad review about Notary Pro. I received a reply from Notary…read morePro stating that it is not a scam. However, it is a scam. I called Notary Pro several times and received messages about a 15% discount. I also reached out to Staples, as I trust them, and asked about their services. They informed me that I could either get the service from home or through their location. I mentioned multiple times during my calls that I would only proceed with Notary Pro if there was a package option available. Since Notary Pro is an American company, I felt more comfortable choosing Staples. Despite the bad weather, I decided to go to Staples. When I arrived, the computer had an issue. The Staples supervisor, Tahura, kindly assisted me in uploading the documents and even she selected the cost of the package on the computer; I only had to enter my credit card number. I told Notary Pro several times to contact the Staples supervisor, but they refused to do so, probably because they prioritize getting 25% of the money. If Staples has all the relevant information, why did the supervisor need to send multiple follow-up emails? She was there to help me through the process. Perhaps those who do not care about the money and want to get the job done from home can give Notary Pro a five-star rating. My experience with Staples was frustrating, and in the end, my trip felt like a waste of money and a horrible day. Please be cautious of Notary Pro. It might work for people who prefer convenience, but I got scammed after trusting the reviews and Staples. After 24 hours, I still haven't received my original receipt to dispute the charge with my credit card. In my next review, I'll mention the Staples location I visited and the good service I received there. However, I believe Notary Pro is taking advantage of Staples. Perhaps they haven't updated their prices, or maybe they recently increased them after receiving a lot of reviews, thinking that people wouldn't mind paying more. Honestly, my lawyer charges $85, while their fee is $175 - more than double the price. I recommend shopping around and not relying solely on reviews to avoid wasting your money. Notary Pro claimed it was my fault, but it's really theirs for not updating the information in Staples' system and their scam nature to discuss the price after the video call. Trustpilot Logo

Hello Everyone! Went…read moreto Axess law located at Scarborough Town Center inside Walmart on the first floor at the mall entrance right by the checkouts. Needed to have a will and power of attorney done. Before I go on please be advised that this is truly a discount law firm where the savings are passed on to you. There is no fancy furniture, no large closed in offices nor are there bright reception areas. The clerk I met with was punctual casually well dressed and well groomed. His knowledge of estate law was excellent while discussing my situation our discussion frequently crossed over into family law and real estate law. He was willing to do more that he was only required to do. Heartfelt apologies for failing to remember his name. Remember this is a discount law firm where there are no fancy business cards. Expect only hard nosed advice and straight up no holds barred reality when it comes to family law questions. The only thing I found a little off was that business is conducted in an open air cubicle with people out and about out side the office. If privacy is a concern for you then be prepared to pay substantially more at a fully decked out law firm. If you are like me you know that people around you have their own problems and do not have time to dwell on yours. The savings of 40% are what attracted me as well as the free parking. Sorry for being so long winded but I hope this helps. I will use their services again even if it means they'll take a little more time.
