We chose Kauai Elopements to plan our elopement, and I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. They handled everything -- the beach permit, officiant, photographer, and flowers -- and it made our lives so much easier during what could have been a stressful planning process. Communication was excellent from start to finish. They checked in often, answered every question I had, and even offered helpful recommendations on where to eat and things to do while we were on the island, which made the entire trip even more special. Our officiant Primrose was absolutely wonderful -- so warm, welcoming, and genuine. She created a ceremony that felt deeply personal and unforgettable, and we felt completely at ease with her from the moment we met. The flowers weren't exactly what I initially envisioned, but they were still beautiful and honestly ended up complementing my dress better than what I probably would have chosen myself. Sometimes trusting the professionals really pays off. And our photographer -- wow. The photos are absolutely stunning. Rachel gave great direction, made us feel comfortable, and captured moments we will treasure forever. It has been almost two months since my wife and I got married, and we are overdue for this review! I really can't express my full gratitude enough, for the wonderful and amazing team; Hailey, Jessica, Meredith, Ainsley, everyone with Kauai Elopements. April, my wife, and I wanted a small and intimate wedding, with minimal stress during planning (as we all strive for, right?). Kauai Elopements absolutely delivered. Their team kept in touch appropriately and periodically, and the system where we could choose vendors from a provided list made it SO easy! Our ceremony was BEYOND loved by our family, friends, and us. Again, I really don't know how to condense all these thoughts into this review haha. I grew up in San Diego, shirtless, shoeless, beach/nature-lover. Naturally, I still felt like I might be met with a little "outsider" vibe. Not true whatsoever. As a matter of fact; during photos after the ceremony (Tunnels Beach), so many people, local or not, passed by wishing us congratulations.. GENUINE congrats with true smiles. My soul was warm. It's warm right now, typing this out. The talkative guy that I am, was very vocal about not just appreciating Kauai as a whole (physically and spiritually) accepting our request to marry there, but that I equally appreciate the opportunity to be able to bring our friends & family and GIVE back our love to the culture's spiritual ancestors and past. I am definitely not a religious man.. BUT I am very spiritual, and I'd like to believe that the Love/Kindness energy that I felt so much could be felt by those around that day. This leads me to bring spotlight to Aokai our officiant, Ikaika our photographer, and Joel our videographer. Holy crap, I can't tell anyone enough how much my heart was pounding during first-look.. no one but I could ultimately control that.. but the guys said every single possible RIGHT thing to say to my ear as I waited. BEST damn support on our big day whew! As I mentioned, I'm not religious; the textbook, typical-religious I often think of leaning toward christianity, catholicism etc. I'm big on spirituality, and energy and symbolic traditions and rituals that have deep MEANING to the individuals involved. Aokai's contribution was a darn A++, spot-on, amazing beyond belief. I'm actually working on preserving our coconut as recommended because it is so dear to me. I'll also never forget (no one will haha) how I accidentally drank from the coconut before I fed it to April lol sorry babe. We will absolutely return for vow renewals in the future. Lastly, the patience of Ikaika and Joel made my day so much better when I began to stress, they assured me that everything is okay, during first-look, as well as after the ceremony when there was a lot of interjecting from my mom about who's next for photos and how to stand. I've been putting this off for a few months but ultimately I do not want someone to have the same experience that my husband and I did. The whole experience with Kauai Elopements was nothing but disappointing. If you simply do not care about any details and are okay with being treated as a haole from the mainland maybe they are fine. We had one communication with them early on and were told that we didn't need to worry and there would be surveys we could fill out later to guide them to what we wanted. Spark notes: we got no communication with the team when we arrived on island and not until a couple hours before the ceremony. So we knew no details at all of anything other than a gps location as to where we were parking. We were not sure where on the beach we were getting married. The location was not what I had asked for and wanted. flowers were not what I wanted and sent photos of. The private first look was in front of everyone and not private at all. The officiant called me three different names, Julie to start then corrected to Julia and then even after being corrected called me Julianne. The musician didn't play the songs requested for walking down the aisle or at the end of the ceremony and flat out said "I don't know what to play" at the end of the ceremony and my brother heard. Oh not to mention I never walked down even an isle I just walked up with my husband because what was the point by then. We set up our own dinner reservations which was supposed to be included in our fee. There was a phone line right behind me in all of our photos. Photographer wanted to leave early and had no plan on where we could take photos. For someone who grew up spending summers in Kauai and lived on Oahu for over a decade, even graduating from Manoa, I was gutted. I still have my 808 phone number. I would expect this from a drive up Las Vegas location. Even the brides that come from Japan and rent everything get more say how their day goes. I didn't want fancy, I didn't want a lot but to get the main details wrong and be completely embarrassed in front of my few family members that came was awful. Not to mention this being three months after my father passed away. I went this way because I needed and wanted so badly to just have a day to show up and finally celebrate something happy. But it honestly just all felt like a joke them. When I tell people about my wedding day I try to just laugh it off but so many people have voiced how sorry they were about it and I'd want to know before paying a deposit. Again, I should have done more than just read reviews online. I have connections in Kauai and throughout the islands I could have used to get everything taken care of but I assumed this would be professionally done and my family could just enjoy with us rather than putting them to work. read more

My husband and I just got married in October 2024 and with their help, we had a wedding that I can't describe as anything else but perfect. They made the entire process stress free and truly showed expertise in all fields of wedding planning. I don't even know where to start in describing how amazing our experience was. The venue (North Shore Falls) was simply magical. Our officiant, Tommy Tokioka, truly captured the type of ceremony we wanted and incorporated Hawaiian traditions and our own. Andrea helped us get the most gorgeous bouquet, Haku, and leis for our ceremony. Annie Hart and Zac Ramos, our photographer and videographer respectively, were both incredible to work with and while we haven't gotten our photos/videos back just yet, both of their portfolios speak for themselves and we simply can't wait to see how they've captured our ceremony. Garret Santos, our musician, was incredible as well and with his music he ensured there wasn't a dry eye among everyone attending the wedding. Misti, our stylist, made me feel like the most beautiful bride ever and provided me with exactly what I wanted. And a very special thank you to Jessica Frabotta who was the best coordinator we could have asked for! She provided us with all the answers and assurances we needed throughout the entire process. She is so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable and helped our vision come to life. While I might not have been able to mention every individual who helped make this wedding happen, please know that my husband and I truly appreciate you and our families haven't been able to stop talking about how fabulous the event was. Once again, this is THE company to go with if you want to have the most amazing wedding in the world. YES YES YES!! If you are looking for an intimate elopement style wedding, Jessica and Haley have got you covered. Jessica was incredible from our very first communication until our last which was even after our trip. She always responded in a very timely manner and she always had a helpful answer for me. Whether it was a simple question or a more complicated one, she was the calm to my storm. Haley was our onsite coordinator for the ceremony and she was equally as incredible. We chose to have only our children with us for the ceremony and without hesitation, Haley watched over our little adventurous toddler so we could have the intimate ceremony we dreamt of. If you have any question on booking Kauai Elopements, I would just say book them right off the bat as they were absolutely wonderful in every way....at the same time, with planning a destination wedding, several questions are bound to come up that would make you hesitant as you are getting married in a remote location (can't see everything necessarily in person in advance). Jessica and her team made themselves available through phone calls and emails daily to help with this! They responded with great detail and truly are excited for you both! The efficiency of Kauai Elopements planning process is impeccable. I know I had read reviews about them at the time we were evaluating and the reviews all hold so true. You fill out a few different questionnaires dialing into you and your spouses preferences, and Jessica and Hailey were there to help with any questions if you were unsure of / wanted to combine ideas and what not....you receive an event timeline for the wedding day a few weeks in advance, confirm it, and then boom, the night before the wedding everyone confirms to you when they are coming in the morning for prep and photos, and you show up at the ceremony with ABSOLUTELY STUNNING flowers and everything is just prepared and ready! I guess the point I am trying to make is, this process with Kauai Elopements was so refreshingly simple. Several times my Mom would be asking, so what is left to do? And pretty much all of the time it was, NOTHING, we already took care of it with Jessica and Hailey! Comparing to the planning process of a larger wedding locally, trying to do it on your own to save money etc., I would never choose it looking back. Kauai Elopements guides you through and coordinates ALL THE PLANNING for the wedding itself and at such a fair price. Everyone we mention how much the wedding cost was is blown out of the water....! Everyone we worked with the day of our wedding, Stephanie (makeup), Nicolette (photography), Joel (videography), and Mara (site coordinator), and Kahu Ai (our officiant) were all so incredible, so talented, kind, and felt like family. I have never felt so beautiful in my life thank you to Stephanie. Nicolette's personality and excitement was so contagious, she was so positive and encouraging! Joel, especially having to paddle board to our wedding , was cool as a cucumber and so calming! Mara answered any of our questions quickly and kept all organized and moving forward, so kind also of course!! Again, she just felt like a family member! Lastly, Kahu Ai, we will absolutely never forget him and the ceremony he gave us. We loved every Hawaiian gift/tradition, and he made the ceremony just so incredibly meaningful to both of us, we loved the deep breaths, really being in the moment, and could not get over the timing of the wind picking up at the beginning and the slight rain when we exchanged rings. Oh where to begin! I am so happy I found Kauai Elopements! Our elopement was 5/27/21 on the north shore of Kauai and it was unbelievable! Hailey and Jessica were absolutely amazing throughout the entire planning process. Jessica answered all my questions and helped me to pick the best vendors that fit our needs/wants. They have a list or there recommended vendors and everyone is absolutely amazing. On our wedding day I was greeted by Hailey at the beach and she put my nerves at ease. She handled the ceremony effortlessly and everything went so smoothly. Jessica and team made planning my small wedding a breeze! We had a small (10 guest) sunset ceremony on the beach and I was able to handle everything remotely via email. They were very responsive whenever I had questions and answered them all thoroughly.
