Michael Tandoi and his salesman Gary not only ghosted myself and my parents they refused to fix the shoddy work that his own paving business did. Michael and Gary both said use seal coat it will make it look better but it won't fix the problems. BUYERS BEWARE. BUYERS BEWARE. I don't recommend this company. They are maybe a decent company to go with but overall they aren't that great. If you do decide to hire this company you might regret the work they do. They do shotty and shitty work or they do decent work. It's a 50/50 chance your going to take if your willing to risk the money to invest into your driveway using this company. They even took down the old address and put up new one's to get rid of all the bad reviews. So if I were you take a look at their BBB reviews amd rating status? His BBB Rating Status is a F which is the WORST rating they give you. He used to be accredited thru BBB because if you look at his dump trucks some of them say BBB accredited but after his bad reviews is probably why he isn't anymore. Here is my story. So I hired this company to do my parents driveway. I told them about my handicap brother and that he is in a wheelchair and a bus picks him up each day, and we want a strong binder for "bus purposes, " like the road way and then a 7f top. They assured me they would do this. Unfortunately all they used was binder. No 7f top like discussed. By the time I got to my parent's house, I was upset to see what I had seen. Ruts in the driveway, ponds, roller marks, divets the size of pot holes, and they partially paved over my mom's garden bed. Which by next spring and summer, we had Lambs Ear and other flowers growing thru the asphalt as well as grass. Now I did call and text Mr. Michael Tandoi the very next day after the work was done, and he told me to "just seal coat over it. You won't even notice a thing." I told him to just come down and take a look. He didn't come down. He said he was going to send Gary Cutaia down twice. Unfortunately, Gary Cutaia did 2 no-shows on my parents. I guess Michael was busy in Florida, which is fine, but one would think your first priority is your customers. Not this company he made me wait till summer then he came out personally. The day he came over, I was pulling into my parent's driveway while he was just about to leave. He turned his wheel while not in motion with his F-250 on a hot summer day, and it literally tore / moved the asphalt. Then he started to back up till I pulled right behind him. I said, "You see what you just did there." He said, "Oh no, no, that was already there." He then proceeded to tell me the driveway is better then it did look before they did the work. He then said, "I told you just to sealcoat over it, and it will go away." He then stated he wasn't fixing the driveway, but he would do a sealcoat for my parents. They again blew my parent's off, and they never got a seal coat. So my dad did it, I believe, and no, it didn't fix any of the issues. We still got roller marks, ruts, ponds, and divets the size of pot holes. If you don't believe me?? Hit me up on Facebook and send me a message. David Makan is a horrible person, a thief, and a liar. My company was contracted to remove asbestos…read morefrom one of his properties. He met and directed my workers to a different address than he contracted with me where my crew worked diligently to remove the asbestos. This turned out to be an underhanded ruse to get both properties cleared and not a mistake. Acting in good faith, I sent my workers to the other property where we provided asbestos abatement. David then used every trick in the book to avoid paying for the work my company provided. David's office instructed us bill the insurance company but I've no assurance that they submitted the claim as the invoice was sent to his office as instructed. For the second property, David only agreed to pay us only after the asbestos reading company withheld the ACP5 and ACP21 documentation until David paid his and my outstanding balances. The reading company had also been given the runaround by David for well over a month to secure payment. David agreed to pay both the reading company and mine in full. He paid the reading company to secure the release of the documentation he needed, but shorted my company $2500. His office told us that the amount we were paid was all David was willing to pay. In short, David Makan is a crook and based on other reviews here, it is a well honed skill. He is an absolutely disgusting lowlife. Hire his company only if you don't care about losing your money, are fine with shoddy work, and do not provide contractor services unless paid in full at the start of job.
