The driveway Tandoi Asphalt And Sealcoating puts in WON'T LAST LONG possible. Don't believe me I will show you my parent's driveway. Michael Tandoi and his salesman Gary not only ghosted myself and my parents they refused to fix the shoddy work that his own paving business did. Michael and Gary both said use seal coat it will make it look better but it won't fix the problems. BUYERS BEWARE. BUYERS BEWARE. I don't recommend this company. They are maybe a decent company to go with but overall they aren't that great. If you do decide to hire this company you might regret the work they do. They do shotty and shitty work or they do decent work. It's a 50/50 chance your going to take if your willing to risk the money to invest into your driveway using this company. They even took down the old address and put up new one's to get rid of all the bad reviews. So if I were you take a look at their BBB reviews amd rating status? His BBB Rating Status is a F which is the WORST rating they give you. He used to be accredited thru BBB because if you look at his dump trucks some of them say BBB accredited but after his bad reviews is probably why he isn't anymore. Here is my story. So I hired this company to do my parents driveway. I told them about my handicap brother and that he is in a wheelchair and a bus picks him up each day, and we want a strong binder for "bus purposes, " like the road way and then a 7f top. They assured me they would do this. Unfortunately all they used was binder. No 7f top like discussed. By the time I got to my parent's house, I was upset to see what I had seen. Ruts in the driveway, ponds, roller marks, divets the size of pot holes, and they partially paved over my mom's garden bed. Which by next spring and summer, we had Lambs Ear and other flowers growing thru the asphalt as well as grass. Now I did call and text Mr. Michael Tandoi the very next day after the work was done, and he told me to "just seal coat over it. You won't even notice a thing." I told him to just come down and take a look. He didn't come down. He said he was going to send Gary Cutaia down twice. Unfortunately, Gary Cutaia did 2 no-shows on my parents. I guess Michael was busy in Florida, which is fine, but one would think your first priority is your customers. Not this company he made me wait till summer then he came out personally. The day he came over, I was pulling into my parent's driveway while he was just about to leave. He turned his wheel while not in motion with his F-250 on a hot summer day, and it literally tore / moved the asphalt. Then he started to back up till I pulled right behind him. I said, "You see what you just did there." He said, "Oh no, no, that was already there." He then proceeded to tell me the driveway is better then it did look before they did the work. He then said, "I told you just to sealcoat over it, and it will go away." He then stated he wasn't fixing the driveway, but he would do a sealcoat for my parents. They again blew my parent's off, and they never got a seal coat. So my dad did it, I believe, and no, it didn't fix any of the issues. Within just over one year of Tandoi installing my driveway, and me having them come to seal coated by them extend my warranty for one year, my driveway has heaved and broken near where it meets the garage. I've called several times since January and emailed multiple times as well. They are completely unresponsive and do not back their warranties or their work. read more

They took my deposit and after 2 months of little to no communication and, with no scheduling in sight, I asked for it back. Of course that led to an immediate response saying I signed a contract, I should call an attorney, I was bothering him (Gary), and I'm just going to have to wait til they get to me. I shopped around for estimates and found Tandoi to be reasonably priced , offering a thicker , higher quality driveway at or below the competitors prices. The difference was how they responded . You call and they come out that day or within a day or two and give you a well explained quote as well as offer suggestions to optimize your parking space. Other companies took long time to respond if at all. Gary walked me through the entire process , answered all my questions and concerns from start to finish. All you have to do is say yes and they handle everything else from permit , to working with town for potential sidewalk and gutter replacement if needed and so on . The crews went above and beyond to ensure everything was done properly. Tandoi laid down a thick airport grade asphalt that looks thick and solid with nice 45 degree edges ensuring years of use. Make sure you compare thickness when shopping around .Walk around your neighborhood and you will see the difference between Tandoi and everyone else. Other companies put down a thinner layer and pave it almost immediately after tear out . Tandoi lets the base layer settle for at least 4 weeks ensuring a solid foundation for asphalt. Had my driveway ripped out and repaved . The weather was cold and terrible the day that they did it it was snowing when we left the aggregate combination was obviously not hot enough and the stones could just be picked out of it . A terrible on their guarantee they designed the driveway completely wrong I took off the turnaround they are supposed to go straight and they cut out and on the other side I took out my brick walkways to make room for them to pay and instead they went all the way in on evenly and paved up to the bricks so I could not redo my walkway and it begins halfway in the middle of the step looks absolutely ridiculous . Supposed to come back and cut it straight off to match the rest of the driveway and it kept lying lying lying never showed up I waited for days they never showed up I called and called this went on for months it was horrible the girl in the office was the greatest ever . The owner was here the day they paved it and I said it poured rain last night and he said it's now or never he was rude and a male chauvinist I went out and told them to stop Paving up to the bricks and he would not listen he said no it would be a tripping Hazard will come back in the spring and fix it they were told at least four times and even the day they were doing it to leave the space for me to replace the bricks . Never return to fix anything just kept telling me they would come . They do not honor their guarantee the trench on the side of my driveway are huge and tripping hazard I don't know why they dug them so wide and deep I have to refill the whole thing with topsoil in the spring they just made a terrible mess that allows the job came back and did a free seal coating and that was lousy also do not use them they are full of bull . If you're in the market for a new driveway do not go with Tandoi. We had our driveway replaced in the fall and complained about the edges not being straight. Our sales guy Gary only returned our calls when we threatened to stop payment on our check. He finally came to our house & said he would fix the edges himself and that the owner was upset when he saw the pictures. As soon as the check was cashed, we never heard from them again. This company obviously gives two craps. Prior to really looking at reviews, they not once, but twice never showed up for an estimate. Their boy Sal, he doesn't give a damn and that's ok. You had two chances to earn business with me and our two neighbors. It's a shame, we are all getting our driveways redone this year or next and I'm sure that's a nice wad of money for them to get, but hey, they don't care. Then to read reviews!!! WOW!!! I had a problem with Tandoi asphalt. Last year we had a extension put on our driveway we also had the main driveway sealed. Well the main driveway was peeling horribly. Parts of the edges were never done in the original sealing. Nick the sealing manager got a hold of me. He came out the next day and him and his guys resealed it. I was totally upset. But I couldn't have asked for a better crew to come and rectify the mistake. As my mother used to say that's why God made pencils with erasers. We all make mistakes. Nothing and no one is perfect. The main thing is when you make a mistake, you own it and you fix it. Tandoi did that. I definitely would recommend Tandoi. read more

Had my driveway sealed 8/14/2020 by Vito Tandoi. He said he was giving me a 10% discount cuz I was paying in cash. He was here Friday right at 9 am and I handed him 5 $20s! I asked for a receipt and he said he didn't have anything to write with & was in a hurry for his next job & I said drop it off. I left the stakes & tape longer than he said to! We hired them last year. They didn't dig it out properly, they also came back and paved in the pouring rain and rushed to get it done. The driveway immediately had ponds of water all over it. It was also not pitched correctly and water poured right into our garage. We reached out for months and they finally came out this past July. They refused to dig it out and do it correctly. Their only solution was adding a top coat. They put it in and that made our driveway way too high. Water flooded our garage even more and now into our basement. They left us a total disaster. We asked again to be dug out and done right and they refused again. I honestly cannot believe any contractor Would leave someone's house in this shape. Their driveway was so bad we had to have it removed to prevent any future damage to our property. They had this driveway pitched so high into our garage, breaking town code and still would not replace it and give us what we paid for which was a driveway done correctly. Don't be fooled by their nice colorful ad, your driveway will never look like that. I paid over 4K for a driveway that is falling apart and it's only 2 years old. Promises were not kept, phone calls never returned and workers that lie to customers. I asked if they filled in the cracks before sealing. "Of course yes" the next day after the seal dried it was still there. Liar!!! Reported them to the BBB and currently been in touch with the attorney general. The only thing they are good at is leading the customers on after they take their hard earned money. Still waiting them to come out early spring 2018 like promised to fix the cracks on my driveway and not just seal over them. I original called them April of 2017, and was ignored for almost 6 months and still it's ongoing. They play the game well, they wait until the end of the season to fix the complaints. Whatever you do please find someone else to do the work! I spent lots of money to have my driveway repaved - starting with the base on up to the best quality surface (I was told it was commercial grade and paid extra for it). I was told it would last 30 years and look like new as long as I sealed it properly as they suggested. I was also given a 3 year guarantee since I did have them seal the first time. I had an issue with drainage that we covered in the initial estimate. I was told they would grade the driveway so that it would no longer be an issue. I also had an issue with the slope at my garage and was assured that they would address that in their grading of the driveway as well. We had them seal after the first year as they suggested (that's what extended the warranty to 3 years as opposed to the initial 2). Shortly after that we started having water flow back into the garage and had low spots near that area where water puddled. I called for someone to come out and take a look. No one came. No one returned my call. They did call and ask me if I wanted my driveway sealed again and when I told them that I was waiting for someone to call me about an issue I was reassured then and at every repeat call that someone would contact me, come out and "make it right". That has never happened. I spent ALOT of money on the driveway and did a lot of research on other companies and while Tandoi weren't the cheapest they were the ones that gave me exactly what I wanted. Or so I thought!
