I ordered "The Kawaiin" but I wanted bacon instead of ham and they said they could do that which was nice because the cashier wasn't sure so she asked the manager on shift. Kawaii crepe is very good and me and my friend have always loved getting dessert from there. But THIS time kawaii failed us. We ordered Nutella in our crepe. And what did we discover? PEANUT BUTTER. They put PEANUT BUTTER in our crepe. WHO PUTS PEANUT BUTTER ON A CREPE WITH STRAWBERRIES AND ROASTED COCONUT???? Very disappointing. We were robbed. I felt my dignity being ripped away from me. I had the Kawaiian, as I was craving something more Hawaiian-style. Despite the fact the place was busy, I managed to receive my food in under 10 minutes. I also ordered a side lychee bubble tea, as I haven't had bubble tea in forever as well. Overall I was certainly satisfied. The crepes were perfect portion for the price, and the lychee bubble tea was filled to the brim. The restaurant is also cleaner compared to its Osborne counterpart, and service was superior as well. It is definitely on the pricey side, especially if you're not familiar with crepes. I do think it's worth it considering one can't get Japanese-style crepes in many places in Winnipeg. read more

The place is good to take friends and family. My daughter loves "pump up the yam". They serve gluten free crepes. Across the street from the mall. It's a great place to recharge. They serve bubble tea too (if you're into that, I'm not). Food is good and consistent. Enjoy! read more

I just moved back to MB from Toronto and was craving me a real iced tea, non-slushie/smoothie bubble tea. Being a little spoiled with copious amounts of options in Toronto I ventured onto my trusty Yelp app to help me out in Winnipeg. Kawaii Crepes is what it is, a savory and sweet crepe making show but according to my search in Yelp it showed a small selection for bubble tea. Now when I ordered it came down to one price for one standard size for their fusion fruit/green tea. I picked..... Lychee. Yum! But failed to get the part that if you want them to add their delicious sweet perfectly cooked tapioca pearls you have to ask for it for an additional $0.50. No worries cause even at that charge this bubble tea come down to a perfect price for a perfect sized, delicious bubble tea experience! I will come here again. First off, I have to say how great the staff were at this location. They were extremely welcoming and helped you through the selection process. Nicely done. Overall it was a good meal but just seemed to lack that little special "je ne sais quoi". The crepes were nicely prepared and the little servicing racks make it fun to dine away. The fillings though just seemed to be missing some ooomph. I would also add that that the size of the fillings would never be called 'generous', adequate at best. It's a fun place with lots of variety on the menu. It's not expensive if you order one crepe, but given the portion size, that would not serve as a meal, more of a snack. read more

Great unique, tasty crepes. They are very crispy and you can choose between savoury or sweet. I personally prefer savoury crepes such as the Pump up the Yam (sweet potatoes with chicken, caramelized onion and peppercorn mayo and maple syrup) which is delicious and complements each other well, The Uptown is another great one with chicken, avocado, citrus chipotle mayo. For sweet crepes, the sweet tooth is a good and popular one that has ice cream, Nutella, whipped cream, chocolate syrup and a choice of fruit. The cheesecake ones are fairly well made as well. Most of the time crepes are consistent and are well made. They have breakfast crepes as well if you are a fan of breakfast which is pretty delicious, had one a while back but can't remember. They also have egg puff waffle crepes which look good but I have never tried it yet. Overall this is a must try place if you are in Winnipeg or keep coming if you live here, as I have tried crepes in the states and in Toronto and have not found a place that makes it like Kawaii Crepes, as most places make the soft kind.
