My wedding and engagement rings needed resized. The original mill grain one was very thin, and we…read morewanted the thickness and profile of the two rings to be more similar, so we decided to get a new band to mark our anniversary. The saleswoman assisted us with selecting the perfect band to complement my engagement ring. My engagement ring is an eternity style, so it is not the easiest task, to get a good complement. We selected a thin, braided, gold band. She also explained that, since I normally wear the rings together, soldering them would be beneficial, and would prevent the settings of the diamonds from needing an expensive repair. The repair took two weeks, less than the estimated three. They also replaced a watch battery, for my husband. Also, we hit a road construction delay, on the way to pick up the ring. I called, and told the staff member that we were likely to arrive just at closing, or a few minutes late. They were kind enough to stay open for us, despite, I'm sure, being ready to close up on a Friday evening. I was so happy to be able to wear the new and improved ring that weekend, while we were out and about.

I went in on Monday morning to be completely taken care of in less than 15 minutes! Other jewelers in the area talked about dropping off and a 3-4 week wait. Went in to have a gold bracelet repaired that I regrettably bought from an Etsy shop. It was hollow…read morebut advertised as solid. The gentleman working there said that because it was hollow it couldn't be repaired. He decided to try anyways and was successful, telling me afterwards to get rid of it before it broke again. While he was attempting to repair it, I decided to take a look at some of the products they had in cabinets close by. While my back was turned, another employee grabbed a display of what looked to be cheap novelty necklaces from atop the counter where I had been waiting. She then proceeded to walk it down to the opposite end of the counter where she had been standing. I immediately felt profiled as a thief and was instantly offended. I had purchased a ring from them years ago and was looking to by a necklace for my girlfriend. After being made to feel like a criminal based off whatever invalid reasoning she may have had, I thanked the gentleman for fixing my bracelet and went straight to Dunkin's Diamonds. I traded it in towards the purchase of a diamond pendant necklace which was a quick, pleasant, and respectful experience. I have worked in retail the majority of my life and there is no excuse for her profiling me a thief. I was pleasant and respectful to them from the moment I entered and in turn was disrespected for no justifiable reason. That's what's called "bad business practices" and for her mistake I will never return to H.L. Art Jewlers unless it's to "Pretty Woman" them. Shame on her. Hundreds if not thousands of dollars in future purchases lost to Dunkin's over cheap twine and tumbled stone novelty necklaces. Shame on her. I hope she understands her wrongdoing and corrects herself appropriately. Peace and love.

I needed a large, specific diamond in a particular setting on a restricted budget and I needed it overnighted to the west coast... Yikes! Right? Impossible! Right? Wrong! Two hours with Kris and it was DONE. I was thrilled, my brother was thrilled and his new fiancé is over the moon. Fist pump!
