Apparently they know they sell trash. So, I'm a guy who wears a necklace pretty much all the time. It's a Kay Jewelers necklace I bought a few years back. Yeah, I know, sometimes it gets a little tarnished - that's what happens when you never take it off, right? Figured I'd pop into the Kay at Waterford Lakes to get it cleaned up. Big mistake. Walked in, handed the necklace to the first associate I saw, and she gave me this look like I'd just handed her a piece of roadkill. Seriously, the face she made was priceless (in a bad way). She asked where I'd bought it, and when I said "Kay Jewelers," you could see the "oh crap" moment dawn on her face. Her tone changed real quick. She passed it off to another guy who dunked it in some solution for a couple of minutes and gave it a quick wipe with a cloth. Then he says, "Probably about as good as you're going to get," and walks away. No further explanation, no offer of anything else. Just... "that's it." Now, I've had this necklace fixed once before at a Kay Jewelers in Georgia (clasp issue, also under warranty), and they were great. So, I know Kay can do customer service. But this Waterford Lakes experience was a complete joke. It felt like they were implying that either they don't stand behind their products, or they know they're selling stuff that's not worth much. Either way, not a good look. After that less than stellar "cleaning" attempt, I ended up just buying some jewelry cleaning solution myself. Seems like if I want something done right, I have to do it myself since Kay doesn't seem to care much about the products they sell after they've made the sale. Bottom line: If you need anything from Kay Jewelers, I'd suggest finding a different location. The folks at Waterford Lakes clearly don't care much about customer service. read more

Kay Jewelers robbed me of my engagement. I went to Kay solely to put a diamond into a setting. I noticed that they are a 'reputable' company so I did not mind paying more money to make sure I was handled professionally. It costed $400 up front, and I was told it would take 14 days to complete the process. I agreed and had no issue what so ever. However 3 days later I receive a call, no caller ID, with a familiar area code, which is common for my line of work. I am sitting on the couch with my soon to be fiancé and some associate at Kay belts out "THIS IS KAY, YOUR DIAMOND IS READY". It is unacceptable that a company that focuses solely on gifts and wedding bands would handle a call like this... My significant other bought me a Star Was bracelet for Christmas. Beautiful, great quality and perfect for a Star Wars geek like me. I've encountered no problems with my bracelet or it's charms and I visits this store, on occasions, in order to clean my bracelet and see the merchandise. Jewelers are friendly, however, somewhat pushy. Nothing I can't put up with or manage though. However, they are very polite and accommodating. Store is alway clean and looks gorgeous. Wow! Just excellent service and professionalism. I was tasked by my wife to come bring her ring in for a simple inspection and I couldn't have asked for a better person to do that job. Megan (hope the spelling is correct) did an amazing job. I showed up 20 min before closing and not only was I promptly greeted but with the friendliest of personalities. Megan assessed that the ring had some significant wear and tear and in desperate need of repair. While my wife will have to do without her precious wedding ring set for about 2 weeks (standard repair time frame) but it should come back as good as new and all covered under warranty. just an insight in some jewelry.. about a year ago I received a heart rhythm necklace from Kay Jewelers which was absolutely beautiful. However since purchase I have had the issue where the rhythmic diamond gets stuck in an upward position I bought back to store and they were able to tap it back to place which I did every other time where it would "dance" but now it gets jammed! Recently I brought it back to Kay Jewelers and I was explained that it can be fix no problem I advised them this was not the first time and that although beautiful it's frustrating to have a jewelry piece that doesn't work. So long story short lol I went to pick up the item up 3/6/2017 when the gentlemen handed me the pendant I looked and saw it was stuck so he took it out got some device to unstick it and I explained this is the reason why I bought it in to get fixed and this keeps happening I told him I'm not happy with this product. He then says " just make sure you always have a paper clip with you so that when it happens again you can un-jam it". WOW!!!! every kiss begins with no customer service!!! Went into Kay Jewelers, just window shopping for a pair of black diamond stud earrings that I have wanted for quite a while. Met a GREAT sales person named Mildred. She showed me the earrings that they had in the store, I saw a pair that I liked. Mildred then explained that they was an option to open an account with Kay Jewelers. Mildred took her time explained it to me and helped me fill out the application. I was approved fairly quickly. I had a beautiful engagement ring with 2 bands which was stolen from my house last July it was a total of 4.5 carats. I have been devastated for months and noticed I was checking out other ladies rings and my finger was empty. I bought a cc ring and although it was pretty But knew it wasn't the same. I started to look online and went to store before Christmas to see wide diamond band. I liked a few but it was bad timing. I went to the store just recently 3/2019 and Mildred took are of me. She took are of me back in December as well. We have the same name so it was easy to remember. Anyways I now had 2 choices. There was a 40 percent sale on a Neil Lane band and we had an addition 10 percent discount. However the store didn't carry the ring i saw online but we didn't want to loose out on the sale so Mildred ordered it online as a layaway and I also put a deposit on the other band I liked as well. A week later the ring came on and the Neil lane was absolutely beautiful and we decided to go with that one however the system won't take the discounted price plus our 10 percent. Mildred went above and beyond to get us the price as we saw it during the sale. It took about 45 mins and she kept apologizing but she got it done. I can't wait to wear the ring once it comes back from Sizing. It's not my original rings which as stunning and I do miss them but this will do. Go see Mildred. read more
