I received the absolute WORST service. Diane was extremely loud and rude. She was polite over the phone but when I came to the store and she saw what I looked like her manners went in the trash can. I asked her why was she being so loud and she stated, "I guess it's the Puerto Rican in me". I could not believe her response. This says to me that she doesn't like Black Americans or any ethnic group outside of being Puerto Rican. Kay Jewelry needs to fire her. Her statement to me cannot be tolerated. Ive quite actually never seen customer service this bad. Called the store to see if they had an item and the girl cannot even speak english nor does she know where she works because she introduced the phone call with the name of a completely different store. She told me the necklace isnt in the store. I find another one that says its available for pick up at their location and she hangs up on me. Called back 4 times and they ignored my calls. Drove to the store out of pure aggravation and have been standing in the store without even so much as a greeting or that they will be able to help me soon .. been standing here for 45 minutes now. Don't waste your time or money at this location, most of the women(especially the manager, Danielle) are very rude, superficial, discriminates and condescending. I have been trying to return a Neil Lane bridal set worth $8,000+ since January and it has been hell. They even sold me a Lifetime Warranty and it means nothing! Although my receipt stated there was an extended return date until the end of January for all purchases made during the holidays, the ladies refused stating it was outside their 30 days return policy when clearly it was within their extended return date. They asked me to call the manager to give them permission to accept the return and it has been back and forth leaving phone messages without ever returning my calls despite messages and voicemails left. They always claim she has a day off or on vacation. Meanwhile, I tried selling it to my cousin's husband, a Pharmacist and he went to a Kay's store by his workplace at Gainsville to check the price and to his dismay they valued it 50% less than the purchase price at their own store when the set is brand new in the original box and never opened. With that shock, I went to other major and local jewelry stores and they told me : 1) Neil Lane is an exclusive designer maker for Kays so no other Jewelry Store will be willing to buy from me to sell in their store due to potential liability issues, 2) Kay's diamonds are lab created and the quality is sub-par (see. Out of frustration, I went to the store again on February 18th and the ladies treated me like a criminal, completely opposite how they treated me on day of purchase. They still refused to accept the return and told me only the manager can accept the returns. Thus, I wrote a legal demand letter to both the Store and the Corporate Office requesting for them to return the item and give my refund back. The following week, the manager finally picked up the phone but refused to help me stating their "Legal Department was handling my case." She gave me phone numbers to their legal and corporate offices, but none worked when I called. I called her back again with another friend who was advocating for me and so angry about the manager's rude behavior, poor customer service and lack of integrity giving wrong numbers. She finally gave a good customer service phone number and after several hours on hold, the rep informed me that only Danielle can process the return locally as they only do returns for online purchases. I went back to the store, and she still refused stating their Legal department is reviewing the case. As part of ABA Professional Responsibility rules, any lawyer/legal Department are required to promptly respond to written complaints but till today no one has responded by mail or called me. I finally got an online manager, and she called the store to speak with the manager to STOP the runaround she is giving me as my store given receipt showed the extended return date. Also, the demand letter was written, signed by me and not another lawyer, so she has to take care of it, not their Legal Department, and the fact that Danielle knows they cannot process in-store purchase over the phone is disturbing. I drove again to the store three weeks ago out of pure aggravation, stood in line for over an hour waiting for Danielle. She told me she had a customer although two other ladies were helping the same customer and finally when the customer left to my unbelieve, she went into a room and told the black guy to tell me she has a meeting and can't talk to me. I was actually baffled and felt humiliated after waiting over an hour. I got really upset and the boy went to call her, to my dismay she still refused to accept the returns and provided me with another number which when you call are put on hold for over 1 hour before a rep picks up. Finally, the Rep filed a complaint on my behalf, apologized for the bad experience and asked me to discuss the situation with Danielle's manager(District Manager). That, the District Manager will be able to right the wrong. I called the store and they refused to give me the District Manager's contact information stating Danielle says she does have it. How will Danielle not have her own manager's phone number or email address? I have never written a bad review, but I needed to do this to warn all potential customers to think twice before making a purchase at Kay's and especially at this specific location. I am still waiting for Danielle to return my item. This is beyond poor management and customer service. The boy in the store even agreed that this return should never have prolonged or escalated to this level. read more

I went into Kay Jewelers with the intent of purchasing a new ring. I left without purchasing anything and intend to return an item I recently purchased. I was not greeted when I walked into the store, in fact an older woman who worked there just stared at my children and I when when we walked in without saying a word. Even after I left the store, this woman continued to stare at me through the window. This was a horrible experience. Companies really need to think about the people they employ. If they can not handle being courteous then they should find employment somewhere that is not customer facing. I will not give Kay Jewelers a single cent of my money. They can thank their rude employee. I went across the street to Zales for my purchase and was treated with kindness and respect. They haven't updated their business hours on the website or anything else, got turned away just before they "closed" at 6:30pm, when all their online sites say 7pm for closure. Went down at 10:00 must be manager was going in and "she said they will be right with you " I said goggle says you guys open at 9:00 "she said it's not updated and plus the mall is not even open Nasty . they finally opened door @10:20 and you could see them in there eating cookie come on now . Got my engagement ring here. Was suppose to be 0% financing, kept getting charged interest on monthly bill. Finally got that fixed. Told me that I'd get a notice stating when my "Kay cash" was going to expire, i didn't. Went to buy the wedding bands and use the Kay cash to purchase it, i couldn't because they expired without any notice. So we ended up not buying the wedding bands. Came here recently to get my ring resized, about two weeks ago. Was informed that they could not resize my ring because it is a "Neil lane" ring and they don't resize those, they special order them. We bought the engagement ring back in June (about 7 months ago), and no one told us about this then. They said "you can come back whenever you want to get your ring resized." Well apparently that's not the case. So now, it's going to take 8+ weeks to get my new ring, I don't get to resize/keep my original engagement ring, which is upsetting. But now i have to wait 8+ weeks for a new one. In the meantime, they said I could keep my original ring until the new one comes in. So, the idiotic, puffy faced, incompetent, blonde haired lady working there (I don't know her name), put a new ring guard on it. There was nothing wrong with the old ring guard. But she put a new one on anyway, And she must've done it incorrectly because within two days, the ring guard started shifting and moving all over the place, ring was falling off my finger and constantly rotating. I tried tightening the guard but it kept loosening again, and was starting to come off the ring altogether. Today I brought it back to the store and the same lady helped me. I told her she put the ring guard on two weeks ago but it's been giving me problems ever since, and asked if I could have a new one. She said "we don't have anymore ring guards, just tighten this one." I explained that I have been and it keeps shifting and is now scratching up my ring; there was nothing wrong with my old ring guard but this one is giving me so many problems. So she took it to "fix it." Comes back, and says "yeah we don't have any more ring guards, there's nothing i can do." At this time, she's already removed the old guard. So I'm like "okay so now i can't even wear my ring?" And she's like "sorry" and shrugged. I'm starting to get really mad at all the errors this store has given me. I asked when they'd be getting more guards in and she said "not any time soon, we'd have to special order them." Like what? Shouldn't a jewelry store have these in stock regularly? So I'm mad now and saying "so you removed my ring guard, knowing you didn't have any more, so now I can't even wear my ring, you don't know when you'll be getting more and now I'm at risk of possibly losing my ring because I can't wear it??" And she's like "sorry. We can put an order in to get it resized though." And I'm like "no you can't because the last time I was here TWO WEEKS AGO, you told me you couldn't resize this ring. And we already put an order in for a new one!" So I left with saying that I'd go to another jewelry store and have them put one on for me, the correct way. And she's like "you can go to any Kay jewelers and they'll do it for you." And I'm like "no. No Kay Jewelers will ever get my business ever again." I walked right across the street to Zales, and the lady there was beyond helpful and polite. I unfortunately had to pay $11.00 for her to put a ring guard on for me, but at least now I won't risk losing my ring. She was friendly and knowledgeable. I think when we go to buy our wedding bands in the near future we will be going to zales instead. I will be canceling my Kay jeweler credit card, and once my ring comes in, in however many weeks, i will never return to that store again. Every employee there is ignorant and rude. Never going back, taking my business elsewhere. I wish I would've gotten my ring at a different store to begin with. read more

Got to the store at 6:33 just to pick up a ring that was resized. Online their closing time is 7pm and I drove 40 minutes to pick up my ring. The lady wouldn't let me in saying they were closed, even after I tried explaining the situation. Absolutely 0 customer service from the older lady in the store. Will never get my ring cleaned or repaired here again. Brought my ring to get repaired for second time in 6 months for the same stone falling out. David must be the most incompetent person I met in my life. How do you call someone and say their ring is ready and two days later when I go to get it you have no clue where it is?!?! He helped us find and ship the third of a three part wedding band that was hard to find.
