I absolutely every single person who works at this location. Bill has done extensive work on my ring in this photo the one with the red heart. I had the red heart actually swapped out because I bought the ring from another company, the stone from that one was not as described and to send it back to them overseas would have been $30. I went to Boyd's and they were able to order a garnet in the color I was originally expecting for the same price. They also replaced a stone at the bottom of the heart and resized it. The art deco emerald and diamond ring I purchased from Boyd's estate collection in 2017 and it is still as beautiful and sparkly as ever. I have had it resized by them as well and it is my favorite ring I own. I could not recommend Boyd's enough and will choose them over any big box jeweler or any other local jewelers in the area - hands down the best craftsman's ship, honesty, kindness, and professionalism. I hope to warn everyone about what kind of people are at Boyd Jewelers, so the same thing doesn't happen to you. I took a 21 inch solid 14K yellow gold diamond cut rope chain to Boyd Jewelers for repair because the clasp had broken from chain. I bought this for my Mother about 30 years ago, she wore her cross on it. She passed in 2016 so very sentimental. I planned to wear it in her honor. It took them a week to call me to come in and pick it up. The chain they were returning to me was not the same. It was so light it looks like something you get from a bubble gum machine. Yes, I complained. I asked Jeff, did you accidentally mix my chain up with someone else's chain? He said no, I don't know what to tell you. It was definitely hollow, the original was solid and good quality. I was robbed of a very sentimental piece. I have lost a lot of sleep over this. Love this place! I have several custom pieces that I get a lot off compliments on. Everyone if friendly and helpful. Very patient while I make up and then change my mind LOL. I have even had them sell two pieces on consignment. I trust them with my most valuable possessions. They have a great policy on watch batteries. When they open the back to change the battery they mark it so that you'll get batteries for that watch free for life. Small confession: I can't stop buying jewelry. Vintage stuff, the kind that's been loved a lot. So I've been to some jewelers in my day, and I'm pretty picky about who to take my treasures to for repair. I needed to have my wedding ring sized. My husband gave me his grandmother's ring, but with such tiny fingers, the ring hung on me. A year after getting engaged, I was tired of the tape and ring sizers keeping it on. I kept thinking about Boyd's since it's close to home. Here's what impressed me right off the bat: the jeweler himself came out front to look at my ring, give it a quick appraisal, and discuss timing for the sizing. He clearly knew his stuff, and he wanted me to understand the information and feel good about the sizing. He told me that the setting for the stones in the ring aren't bad, but they're wearing thin. He suggested stopping by every six months to have it checked free of charge. The sizing was done that day, and it's perfectly done. I'd highly recommend this jeweler. I am sooooo glad I went to Boyd Jewelers instead of one of the chain stores in a mall! I went to get the clasp fixed on one of my wife's necklaces, but also took in my deceased dad's WWII-era Omega watch (which I had always assumed was counterfeit since he couldn't have afforded a nice watch in the 1940s). I'm extremely impressed not only by how knowledgeable Dan is about all things jewelry (unlike most salespeople in the chain stores), but also because he took the time to explain to me the history behind my dad's watch and the various reasons it is actually authentic (also unlike most jewelers who wouldn't have spent a second longer than the amount of money they could get me to spend that day). In fact, I also appreciate that there was no pressure to buy any new jewelry when I just needed a repair. I now know where my family will be going for all of our jewelry needs.
