My wife and I visited Kiefer Jewelers today. Oddly enough... We heard about the store while recently out of town in Cincinnati. We were told about a really nice jewelry shop in Lutz, Florida -- we're from New Port Richey so it's a bit surprising we hadn't already heard of the place. When we entered the store, we were greeted by Brianna. She gave us a tour of the shop and showed my wife many different pieces of jewelry ranging from earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings. The store has a great selection. I was able to convince my wife to at least get the earrings today. Maybe the necklace and/or the ring will be an upcoming Christmas present. I looked at some watches and maybe I'll get a watch in the future too. A very nice store, a very nice selection of jewelry and even some watches, and Brianna was a treat. I have tried for over four years now to get Kieffer Jewelers from sending adverting mailers addressed to my deceased wife. This year already have received two. I have spoken to the manager who says she has seen to it that my wife's name and address are removed from these unsolicited mailings to no avail. So someone came home from work with her ring in two pieces (and did not know how it happened), being new to the area I didn't have much to go on. Kiefer was right down the road and I it was not part of a big chain. Barbara took a look at my situation and went to see if a repair could be done. Because the setting was what is called an invisible setting no guarantees were given about being able to repair and I just appreciated an effort would be given. I was told it would be about a week if repairable. Three days later I received a text that my ring was ready for pick up! I was quite surprised and went to pick it up the next day. The ring looked outstanding! Not only was the repair not noticeable, but all of the wear on the band was polished away and the gems sparkled liked it was brand new. To say I was pleased is not enough to describe the satisfaction I have with this jewelry store. From the moment I walked in the door they were attentive to my needs and very professional. Upon pickup Brittany was reviewed my the work completed and expedited my checkout. As a new resident to an area you have to build a community from such as a new mechanic, new favorite restaurant and grocery store. I can now add jewelry store to the list. I Love the store everyone is super nice. My sales guy is Daniel he is awesome helped me design my police star and the price was fair. I did check around. But my main reason was looking to buy a Rolex. Everyone complained it takes years or you have to spend a lot of money. Start to finish 6 months and it was the second call for the Rolex I wanted the first one I didn't love and I had one similar so I had to pass. Got the call yesterday mine was in. Now Daniel has alway treated me like five stars every time I've been in there to buying jewelry cleaner to buying a pendant to buying a Rolex always makes me and my wife feel special. I went to Kiefer Jewelers Lutz location a few times to browse and reset my wedding diamond. Alex personally assisted me and was not only knowledgeable but very accommodating. She never tried to upsell me or reach for the most expensive setting. She immediately made me feel like a valued customer from the first minute I met with her. I tried to do business with Kiefer recently and failed. Normally I would have no reason to get on here and review them but ironically I am now in their email system and I got an auto-email asking for a review. I stopped in a few months ago and talked to Jeff about a Rolex Daytona. Yea, the unicorn of wristwatches, I know. I have a Rolex Submariner, consider myself a pretty savvy guy and know that the wait list can be a couple of years but Kiefer is one of the couple authorized dealers in the Tampa area and I wanted to deal with someone local. So my conversation with Jeff was great and I left him my info and figured I would check back in a few months for another Rolex watch I am considering (a Datejust, for my fiance). Sent an email to Kiefer and got a pretty condescending response from Brittany that they only reserve the Daytona for established customers and was having trouble finding my name in the system. So bug off, basically. Yea, I know Brittany; it's a tough watch to get, which is why I touched base months ago. And in my email I specifically mentioned that I was working with Jeff (can't tell if he works there anymore). If you won't allow me to buy a $15k watch, I don't know what you want me to buy. Unfortunately diamond earrings just aren't my style and only the privileged get to check out the Rolex counter. Bottom line, they could have handled it a bit better. I'm not stupid; it's a rare piece and I have plenty of time. In fact, I'll probably end up paying $20k to a grey market dealer since Kiefer wants to treat me like a second rate citizen. Surprised and delighted with the customer service I received from both Britney and Gail. I needed several watch batteries one for a Tag as well as a Raymond Weil and a watch band for a museum Movado also just a small jewelry repair. The prices on the batteries and the three-year guarantee was unexpected. The shop is beautifully appointed with outstandingly sophisticated merchandise. Nope,..... sorry, but never going back. I brought in a Pandora bracelet and a Brighton bracelet to be cleaned. I also brought in my parents wedding bands & diamond ring to be sized. ALSO, I brought in a Fossil watch & a Anne Klein watch for battery's. My dad's wedding band was still too tight - (It was finely polished)- but I don't think it was sized correctly at all). - which I did mention while there. My mom's diamond ring was adjusted fine. The Brighton bracelet came out OK. The Pandora bracelet was HORRIBLE - IT WAS actually discolored & tarnished looking and the Anne Klein AND Fossil watch were not working when Omar brought them out to me. So Omar took the two watches and Pandora bracelet into a back room. Anne Klein watch was working again, (was told that it was a bad battery batch) and then was told that the Fossil watch needed a timing mechanism or something which would be an additional $70. My bill was already over $200. ANYWAY.......I ended up buying their silver jewelry cleaner & polishing cloth,..... got home & cleaned & polished up the bracelets - (which look fabulous by the way, BY ME!) & also polished the ONE working watch. Long story short.......buy a quality silver cleaner & cloth, & clean it yourself AND go to a quick jewelry repair shop that won't cost you OVER $200. Lesson learned. read more
