I got engaged a little over a month ago and my ring is a family ring from my Fiancé. Therefore it needed to be resized. I took it to Kay about two days after my engagement and dropped it off. It was taken from a size 8 to a 5. I was told that I would revive it between 10-15 days. On the 10th day I went to pick it up and it was perfect! A day later I noticed that a small stone had fallen out. I called Kay's to see if anything could be done and was told that sometimes during size changing, the stone settings become loose. I took it back and dropped it off again and was told again that I would revive it in 10-15 days. As always, a promise date was put on the receipt 20 days out. I planed my engagement photos for the weekend following the 12th (this weekend). When I did not hear back by the 12th, I called to see when I could expect it. After the workers being unable to find my order or give me an update, I was told a half hour later that it was not finished and I would have it by the end of the week. I requested that it be sent back as long as my main stone was secure so I could have it for my photo shoot. I received a call the following day (13th) that I could pick it up and that ALL WORK WAS FINISHED. That my ring was perfect and secure. Last night (14th) I noticed this stone was missing. Out of five weeks of engagement, I have worn my ring 7 days total. Why is the jeweler not checking the security of the stones before returning to customer in the first place!? This is the second time I received my ring back and lost a stone the next day. I will not be returning, I'll find a small town jeweler with in house service from here on out. I recommend you seek her out at this location! I have spent the last two Christmas's letting my children choose jewelry for my wife. Leia was incredible yet again showing my boys pieces and explaining every feature. (She has impeccable taste) I have to take the long way to Kay so they can satisfy myself that they looked at all the offerings. They go straight for Leah every time! My over all experience with this jeweler has not been pleasant they sold us a wedding set and my husband gave me the wedding band on our wedding day however we noticed on the honeymoon that it was 10k instead of 14k and that was not what we had paid for. They did resolve the issue and got me what I paid for, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. I have had so many issues with these rings that my husband has said he wishes he had never purchased from this company, we will only be there because of the warranty. My wife bought my engagement ring here almost two years ago. Apparently the staff was very patient and she returned many times before making a purchase. I love my ring, everything about it is perfect and unique. That being said the setting is so different that I have been unable to find a wedding ring I like to compliment. Only complaint is they do not listen to the customer about resizing. My wife has a band that she purchased here also and wore with a ring guard for over a year to avoid sending it off. When she finally dropped it off after multiple visits to the business, they convinced her to do down to a much smaller size then originally measured. When we got the ring back, her finger literally turned purple from being too tight so I made her return it. They resized the ring again but since it wasn't under warranty we had to pay again... Silly since it was their fault for the sizing problem. Well we just got the ring back and it's a little big but the ring guards back on so it's whatever. This place is only getting 4 stars because I love my ring btw. The staff is friendly but really needs to communicate better about their customers. read more

My wife and I took our rings to get sized and have the rhodium redone. When we first arrived they could not find our order even though I told them the specific store and month and year the rings were purchased. I took the rings in on Labor Day because we knew we needed them back before the 21st due to our bridal portraits being scheduled for then. We were promised the rings would be back in time. On the 17th we received the email that the rings were back and since we were told that they would call us we waited till the 18th before going to pick them up. When my wife arrived to pick up the rings she was informed that my engagement ring had been sent back due to it being damaged during the process. They swore the rings would be back by the 20th and that if they weren't they would drive to pick it up and bring it to me. On the 20th I had not received a call or email so I called the store and was shocked to hear that I had been lied to and they could not drive to pick it up and the rings would not be back in time for my bridals. They told me to reschedule them when I had already paid my photographer who was coming from 4 hours away and my hair and make up stylist and taken of work for these portraits. They offered to exchange my ring which had so many memories but I went with that offer because they once again promised they would have it to me before my bridal portraits. Saturday morning as I am on my way to Hair and makeup I get a call saying that there is no way that I will receive the rings by the time I need them. And asked again to reschedule. I have never dealt with so much incompetence any where else. I was lied to so many times. The area manager was rude and not a pleasant person to work with. I will be calling home office and filing a complaint everywhere. It's not Monday and I still don't have my rings or my bridal portraits which now I will have to take another day off work and pay more money to reschedule. I will never ever do business with Kay Jewelers again once I receive my ring. read more
