Well that's what it was like when I walked in Ziabird. It is a little tiny boutique nestled in a plaza full of stores. I happened to walk into this one first and was instantly taken. The store carries items made by small production artists. It has earrings, scarves, dresses, and every other accessory women love to wear. Some of the prices are higher end but the pieces are beautiful, thoughtful and unique. The owner was super easy to be with and became my instant friend as I perused around the store. I hadn't planned on getting a single thing but walked out with my new favorite ring and dangle earrings... both of which I have lived in since.

Betsy was so kind to help us know more about what to find when it comes to an engagement/wedding band and she showed us example. I even got to write down everything that my gf and her talked about the info of what my GF wants in an engagement ring. She showed us everything they had to offer and told us a lot about each of the jewelry. I'm very happy that we went here instead of some chain store, because we wanted to get jewelry that were hand crafted by a local business. My girlfriend felt like a seagull looking at all the jewelry and finally found the earrings she wanted. We are going to come back to TS Brown Jewelry when we visit Wilmington for now on. There are several boutique shops in the region, but I've found none other than Fancy Flamingo that carries Angie brand clothing items, a brand I have sought out for decades and usually could only find in specialty shops in the Asheville and Savannah areas. I was thrilled to find three items that I fell in love with, and two were on sale, so my money went far. Even the full priced item I purchased was a great value as it was very reasonably priced for this area. The friendly service, aesthetic appeal, and wide selection of clothing brands that I recognize and love will bring me back quite often. I have made up my mind that there's no need for me to visit big box discount stores for quality items at reasonable prices. I am convinced that I can pop in to this boutique in my own neighborhood and find exactly what I want and have a pleasant shopping experience.

I finally stopped into this little boutique last week - I love it! Half United carries a range of…read morebeautiful products like handmade leather bags, earrings, necklaces, natural beauty products, soap, candles and SUPER soft flowy T-shirts. The best thing about this store is that no matter what the price of the item, 7 meals are donated to those in need for each item purchased. This is a very unique donation model that I haven't run across before! Half United also carries MISSIO hair products which is a local brand (woo!) that supports the fight against human trafficking. The staff was incredibly helpful when I realized the particular MISSIO dry shampoo I was looking for wasn't in stock, Carmen ran across the street to the MISSIO office to get it for me! I really enjoyed my experience and will likely be back again before Christmas to finish up gift shopping.

We had been looking for thrift stores and flea market kind of venues, and had been scratching around the Island and surrounding areas all day. What a treat it was for us to meander thru this beautiful shop, totally unexpectedly because we discovered it while stopping in the strip mall for something else. The pictures that are posted are beautiful, and are very representative of the interior .... but three years later, this shop is packed with unique things! The owner (I assume) and her assistant were so warm and welcoming! I felt like I was shopping in my own hometown! I purchased a couple of things ... (a hooked pillow that I LOVE ... BTW: I have spent the better part of this year "needlepointing" a Christmas pillow that will probably never seen the Holidays LOL ... so I didn't hesitate to purchase a pillow that I absolutely loved!) The prices were reasonable (what you would expect to pay for a nice item) throughout the store. Thank you, ladies!
