They reassured me that nothing serious was wrong and discovered I had gotten some water in my ear during my shower, and told me it was already starting to drain naturally through my recently inserted ear tubes. They reassured me that my surgical ear tubes were working fine, and I left feeling so much better. Again, they are knowledgeable and compassionate. And they understand that ear pain is an emergency!!! What more can anyone expect? Love this group of Doctors. What is really great is if your doctor is unavailable, all other docs are ready to step in and fix you up. Don't go anywhere else.

Purchased Oticon's top of the line hearing aides to replace a 6 year old pair that were failing…read more Paid full price ($6,000) as I had no insurance. When initially fitted, they used the results of a 5 month old hearing test. The new ones didn't sound right, so I made a second appointment and insisted on a new hearing test and reprogram, which they did. Still wasn't satisfied since my old set still worked better. Made a 3rd appointment and was told one of the hearing aides was missing data for several frequencies. Even after 3 efforts, I still didn't think they were right. Gave up and paid a different audiologist to perform a hearing test, erase the previous programing completely and reprogram them. It was his opinion that they were programmed by amateurs. Not only did the reprogram result in the new hearing aides working better than the old, I was told one of the domes was the wrong type, and that a separate program could be added to reduce background noise to enhance speech--a major problem for me. This program was added as a 5th program. Main Line only programmed 4 channels, one of which was totally useless. My visits were with 3 separate audiologists, 2 of whom had another person stop in to help. The audiologist I worked with in the past no longer worked there. I was a patient for at least 8 years and purchased my last set from them. Until last year the service was satisfactory. Something clearly changed. It troubles me to have to write such a negative review, but I don't want anyone to go through what I did. Roy T.

I took a relative to see them who is some handicapped. She has trouble understanding things that are said to her. Not only was the staff understanding but took it upon themselves to fix her hearing aids, tell us what the next steps were in order for her to alleviate the problem completely and then did not charge us. They therefore charged me for the full price (which was very high), faked on programming it on the phone when it was already programmed, then I found out it was not necessary. I question if they thereafter filed for warrenty as they had all of my personal information. Recently I had to replace another aid it came under warranty at no COST! Beware of stores who take advantage of senior citizens.

My husband had an upsetting experience during an appointment this week, with staff not taking…read moreCovid-19 safety precautions seriously. Although he was told to wait in his car until his appointment time in order to avoid other people in the waiting room, he still had to sit in a waiting room with three other patients. Then, although the guidelines on the website clearly state that everyone in the office - staff and patients - are required to wear masks, the receptionists at the front desk were not wearing them. When he went in the back for allergy testing, the nurse sat in a small exam room with him for 20 minutes (presumably to make sure he didn't have a severe reaction to anything). She sat with her back to him (looking at her computer) the entire time, and when she turned around, he realized that she had taken her mask off. She put it back on when he asked her to, but by that point, the damage had been done. She had been sitting in a small enclosed room, less than 6 ft away from him, with no mask for 20 minutes, which is enough for covid transmission if she happens to be an asymptomatic/presymptomatic carrier. We are a high-risk household, and we are absolutely livid.

I tried to explain my limited resources, but she was insistent that I should purchase the "Premium ones for my hearing issues." She only stopped the hard sell because she could tell I was getting angry. I had dealt with Dr. Goyne a few years earlier when I purchased my 2nd pair of hearing aids, and he was okay. The office staff is fine. The Audiologists who do the actual hearing tests are just out of school, and they do their best. No seasoned Audiologists at this practice! I believe people with true hearing problems benefit from places like Aberdeen. However, my next hearing aids will be purchased from Costco.
