We were then informed that Latasha would not be the one doing our makeup because she wasn't there ( bummer because the website let us choose her as the artist) I think somewhere during the booking should have made it clear that she may not necessarily be the one doing us. The artist saw the uneasiness on our faces and assured us that both she and the other young lady were good as well and that we could look at their work on IG but she didn't give us their names. Anyway, the spot is a cute quaint shop. There was a hairstylist straightening someone's hair which had my throat itching from the smell of burnt hair. Our makeup came out pretty. It appears that these are freelance artist that use their own products. One of my friends face was done with MAC products but mine was done with AJ Crimson . The one that had the MAC makeup lasted longer because the AJ Crimson is very oily to me. I've had it applied by two other MUAs in the past and the same thing happens, greasy. I did enjoy the choice of lip color and end up purchasing a tube. I think it's called Show Time. Nice salon but I prefer to have the artist that I selected at the time of booking actually be the one that does my face.

The traveling MUA that did…read moremy makeup on March 23, 2024 was late, and the one hour appointment last 2.5 hours, as she kept re-applying makeup to my face over and over again, even though I explained that I wanted it to look natural, as I DO NOT wear makeup. I knew I was in trouble when I looked at the clock and realized how long it was taking her and I could feel her constantly trying to correct the makeup that she had already done ten times. When she was finished, my eyebrows were botched and glued and my eyelashes were already lifting in the corner. It was way too much makeup and I looked like a ghetto superstar. Needless to say, I removed the makeup as soon as she left and did it myself. It took me until this morning to get all the glue out of my eyelashes. I wish I asked to see my makeup halfway through the service versus, waiting until the end of my service. This experience was my sign to take a class and learn to apply makeup myself.
